Probably more like 3 1/2 stars, but we don't have char-broiled hot dogs joints in San Francisco so any place here starts at a 3 and goes up from there. Pretty similar to Ted's as would be expected. The place is newer and cleaner than Teds (points there) and the food is just as good. Tried the foot long nice and crispy, wife had the regular dog, kids had the cheeseburger and kids meal hot dogs. All good, all well priced. If you have a package of Sahlens and a char-broiler, it's kind of hard to screw this up. Fries were quite good. Onion rings were ok. They had some kind of local cane sugar sodas (Johnny something or other) that was much better than a regular fountain drink.
The owner or manager came by to make sure everything was ok which is always a nice touch. Lunch for 7 people (8 if you include my son's second cheeseburger) came to less than $40 which you can't argue with. Especially like the location right across the bridge in Grand Island. We were heading home from shopping at the outlets and this sure beat eating in the food court. -

Every now and again I pop in for a footlong as I work on the Island. When it's busy it's very very busy but the food is worth the wait.
You can see the bridges to Buffalo from the dining room so, I have actually had dinner here if there was a long backup, lol.
Family environment, it could be noisey..... but delicious! -

It's a real life "Coming to America". You have Teds and Theodore's. It's exactly like Teds, and just as good. I had a footlong and some O-Rings, and my kid had a dog and fries. I was never big on Teds fries, and I think these were actually better, they were standard crinkle cut fries, but very crispy, which I surprising liked (I'm more of a fresh cut fan). Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The decor was kind of bland, but it's a hot dog joint so who cares. This location was packed, and service was a little slow, but worth it. I look forward to this rivalry, it could almost be like the Cheese Steak wars in Philly.
