Hey, I am a terrible bowler. I have been going for years and still can't seem to get a hang of it. Maybe it's the beer, although, most people tell me they get better with a couple.

This is the only place, albeit in the middle of East Richmond farmland, that you can bowl. Since it is near the movie theatre, Watermania, ice complex, countless restaurants; it is a great place to take your family for a good time. In fact, there is probably something for everyone here. There is lots of parking and it's easy...just go to the end of Steveston Highway and you're there!

    Great fun!

When my friends suggested bowling, I should have listened to that little voice in my head that said "You sucked at bowling 20 years ago when you last tried". I didn't, and we ended up here.

Loads of fun, and I still suck at bowling. They have lots of lanes, the price seems a bit steep for a game, especially since you have to spend $3 for shoes as well, but I guess if you were at the bar next door you'd be spending a lot more in that hour, and wouldn't have the same fun.

I was a bit annoyed at the system they use to enter user information into the electronic scoring system. When they turn down the lights in the building for the black light bowling or whatever they call it, you can barely see which buttons to push - found ourselves wishing we had brought a flashlight. Some good dance music in the background, plenty of good energy. Definitely recommend for a fun night out.

Compared to a lot of places in Richmond, it is a great place to hang out and have a great fun time with a bunch of friends without breaking a sweat!

The price might be steep, but the location is in the Western Culture entertainment district in Richmond. The other thing I dislike about the place is that there is no beer on the place where we could eat, instead you must leave the pitcher of beer in the back where anyone can slip in something? Isn't that just redundant and dangerous?

The good place about this place is the amazing night bowling. The atmosphere is amazing, with tons of people laughing, having a great old time~ The people cheering, and the sound of the balls and the pins clashing. This place is ALWAYS packed on weekend nights. It has the partying atmosphere and the music they play here is amazing. I enjoy the dark lights with the glowing bowling balls. It is pretty fun. Go before 8:00pm to grab a good bowling lane though, the place will get packed very fast.

This is a great place to hang out to spend 2 hours and have tons of fun with your friends for a decent price! Don't forget to wear something white to make you stand out and look amazing~!

Richmond isn't a very exciting city I'm afraid. I still love it to bits, but Saturday nights can be kind of a bore.

Last night the boyfriend and I were out for a casual dinner at O'Hares pub, trying to decide what to do without heading downtown. The movie we wanted to see was starting too soon, and we didn't feel like renting a movie so...bowling?! Yeah ok! Bowling sounds fun, haven't gone in a while.

We drove to the Entertainment Complex at the end of Steveston hwy and found parking right away at the Zone. It was cosmic bowling time, which I had forgotten about. Yay! Extra fun. We paid for 2 games and shoe rental and it came to about $15/person. Not too bad, but I've played at cheaper places. Anyway, we got a lane immediately even though the alley was pretty busy. The girl at the cash desk was friendly and the guy getting our shoes was super speedy. When we had a problem with the lane, she walkie-talkied someone in the back and they fixed it right away manually. The lasers and smoke were fun, the music was loud and not terribly annoying so all in all it was a lot of fun. When we were done we played a couple of games in the arcade area. The games were expensive, but oh well.

while I'm a huge bowling fan, I was not thrilled with this place....

    The bad:

    1. $5 / game - a little on the steep side with $3 shoes!
    2.  Drinks could only be kept way behind the lanes (like 20 feet away)
    3.  They stopped cosmic bowling at midnight, even though they were open until 1am? hurtin'
    4. Brutal music for cosmic bowling,  looking for high energy and/or angry rap music

    the good

    1. tons of lanes
    2. cosmic bowling availability
    3. attached to a restaurant / bar where you could order food and walk between businesses with your adult beverage.  Solid move.

I'd go back, but during their 2 for 1 time windows for bowling...

Ah bowling; it's fun but I hate it because I am just so terrible at it.

Went with a group of friends last night, and after a bit of a wait we got a lane. Considering the amount of people there on a Saturday night, the wait wasn't terrible - and we were kept entertained by having a drink in the ajoining pub and the lads played some air hockey.

The Zone has an arcade when you walk in, and apparently laser bowling. When I came in it was normal bowling, but when we got our lane it was lazered out! The laser bowling was cool other than two annoyances for me: one, they had laser type lights going on, and they seemed to go directly in my eye all the time and I felt my head was being wrecked by them. Two, they had smoke periodically coming out the end of the lanes, which made it a challenge to see the pins, and I inhalled a big mouth of it and started choking.

So if you have asthma or are epileptic, I don't recommend laser bowling.

The lanes were standard, and it was good fun aside from my terrible score. The lane I was on did not replace the pins on the second half of my turn twice, but it worked to my advantage as the machine detected that I had a strike (and this is the only reason the second game provided me an almost respectable score).

Not the cheapest place to bowl, but good craic.
