Another unloved place that should get a bit more business. It has been in the Thorncliff area for a long time, and the inside shows. Posters that look like they were printed in the 80s, and benches that were painted in colors unrecognizable by the modern interior designer. Of the 2 times I have visited Yellow Submarine, I was the only person inside.
Their subs are similar to Mr Sub or Subway, but with less variety. But you get more value at Yellow Submarine, as their comparatively sized subs will be cheaper than the more popular franchises. They also make Vietnamese subs. Not the best beef satay, but its passable.
So not the best tasting subs, but its not terrible either. And I can always rely on them for a quick, cheap take out lunch.
