Review from Justin B.

With Burger choices galor, the works offers an old school feel with a clean environment. With so many choices I have trouble choosing.
All I can say is the steamrollers were delicious and the veggie burger average.
Great spot for lunch, especially when craving a good ol hamburger -
Review from bittersweet p.

For a place the specializes in burgers, it has one of the worst tasting burgers I have had. This is the second time I have come here and left disappointed.
I got the Dead Ringer - bbq smoked brisket, smokey bbq sauce, jack cheese & an onion ring. Sounds delicious right? WRONG! The patty was dry and tasteless, and the toppings were just bland. I was picturing something moist with delicious brisket drenched in bbq sauce on top. What do I get- overcooked/burnt patty with dry strips of beef and skimpy bbq sauce. A gourmet burger joint should have good quality patties. This was absolutely tasteless. I could have cooked a frozen burger myself and had it taste much better.
The only redeeming factor was the attentive service we received. However, the great service does not make up for the poor quality food. I definitely will not return. I'd rather go to the other places in town that are much better like Early Bird or The Bungalow. Overall, the Works is overhyped and just not worth it. -
Review from Anastasia H.

A perfect experience.
Location: Right downtown, on King between Richmond and Ridout. A great addition to pre-JLC dining options.
Service: Genuinely friendly. Servers are focused on patrons' needs, not merely tip-trolling.
Menu: Options for all. I wouldn't take a vegan, but there's more than enough variety for everyone else, including vegetarians. No petty "No substitutions" limitation. More than willing to accommodate dietary restrictions. Burgers are available in specialty meats, including elk and organic beef.
Food: I'm told that the tower of onion rings is tasty. Four kinds of spuds. Side dishes are included in the price of the burger. Big portions ensure that no one will leave hungry. Drinks are served in large measuring cups, which should give you an idea of their volume. Great shakes.
Tiny quibble: the volume. The music could be turned down. Other than that, it's fun, friendly and filling.
