Great selection of seasonal decor!
I am a huge fan of seasonal items - Halloween and Christmas are my two favourite holidays and I love to deck the halls, as it were. Anyway, The Wish List is by far the best place in town to find ornaments, trees, and gift items for the holidays. My tree is covered in Department 56 pieces, all of which came from here.
Quality items don't come cheap, but spending the extra on holiday decorations really pays off I think! -

I really, really loved The Wish List when is first opened a couple of years ago. In addition to seasonal decorations (Halloween, for example, plus an all-year-round Christmas section in the back), they carried an awesome selection of home decor items that were just my style. Throw pillows, jewelry stands, wall art, etc. Everything is bold and black and pink and has just enough blink. They even had those feather headbands that were all the rage for a while.
I went in last week and it seems like the seasonal section has pretty much taken over the store. Don't get me wrong, the Halloween stuff they have here is pretty awesome. It's cool and funky, and the quality isn't cheap. But I just don't really have a need for Halloween decorations, so I guess I'll have to check back on November 1 to see if the usual home decor selection is back in stock.Listed in: Whyte Avenue Shopping Spree, Domestica, The Nest

I was just passing by the Wish List today, and had no intention of going in, but of course, I got sucked in by their sale sign in the window. Right now all their Halloween merchandise is 50%, and that's additional to what it reads on the pricetags. It's funny how I don't plan on buying anything here, but I always do. Today I managed to find a cute Halloween-themed wall-hanging (for $2 -- STEAL!!) that reads "Eat, drink, and be scary"; it's hanging on my door as I write this.
And I wasn't the only one Halloween shopping today. There was another woman who appeared to be stocking up on quite a bit of stuff. We got to talking and she told me that she had called ahead of time, and explained to the staff that she needed to pick up a few items, but might be close to their closing time. It was in fact the store's closing hours, I found out. But the staff girls were still there, helping out this customer with smiles, and individually wrapping all her items. I absolutely love this store, it's got everything -- great stuff, wonderful service!Listed in: A Walk Thru Whyte, Spooktacular Shops

I really liked this store. It is filled with cute pet gifts, small knick knacks and Christmas stuff. I found it a little odd to be seeing Christmas ornaments in February, and I can't imagine they sell that much during the off season, but from what I have read of the other reviews, their Christmas selection bursts in mid November.
There were a couple of dogs in the store when we went in. The first one we saw was a boxer. As owners of a boxer, we were drawn to this dog and we sat and petted him for a while.
One of the employees came over to us as we were petting the boxer and said "There is another dog over here, and it is his birthday." I thought it was a little bizarre that she offered up this news, and when we went to see the other dog, he barely wanted us to stand next to him. So why did the employee tell us to come see him? It seemed like a jealousy thing, which felt just bizarre.
Besides that awkward moment, we enjoyed the store. I did like the things that were inside and I will be back closer to Christmas time.. -

It's Christmas all year 'round at this store! Of course now with Halloween right around the corner, the front half of the store is all decked out for the occasion.
You know how people buy little villages to decorate for Christmas? This store has Halloween versions, too! If you're into Halloween as much as I am, this is where to go to find celebratory deco for your home! They've got "bleeding" candles - they're white but when you light them, the wax inside is red. It looks really awesome!
They carry some other gift type items. They have baby socks and onesies and an area for pet stuff. There's a resident dog, Winston, who will greet you and welcome you into the store before heading off to make sure he's not missing out. He just kind of acknowledges people and if you show him some attention he really appreciates it. -

This is a Christmas store on Whyte. I don't remember it being here before, so it may just open up for the holiday season, but don't quote me on that. This is all opinion, speculation and here-say. They are a long and deep store, filled to the brim with everything Christmas.
The ladies who work here, you can just tell, have Martha Stewart Christmas going on in their three-storey triple car garage homes in Terwilligar or Westmount. They're in their rosy-cheeked pre-Christmas glory and ready to share it with you. These gals have so lovingly decorated this store. It puts you right in the spirit. There are beautiful tree ornaments and a lovely selection of home decor. If you are looking for yummy Christmas treats, they sell gourmet packs of cocoa and mulled cidar. Just add water, and bells start to jingle.
There's also a wide selection of Christmas gifts and accessories for your family pet - a cat and dog food dish bedecked with happiness and holly, little holiday outfits, etc. This is a great stop along your holiday shop.
Unsurprisingly, they also sell gag-type gifts and items that are silly, sexy or cute. I liked the aprons that said "Will cook for shoes." They sell an edible candy bra, ironing board covers with naked men, plastic raw chickens (what do people do with these, anyway?!) and other fun stuff. That's what just jumped out at me. They have some decor and other gifty items and staff are friendly.
Right now there's lots of Christmasy stuff in the shop, and the sales people were busy setting up displays. Take your time picking a card here. They are happy to have you and the vibe here is very unrushed. -

Christmas is what this store is all about. All year around, no breaks from what I can tell. The people working here totally add to the Christmas cheer of the store. They are so pleasant and just in great moods.
The store is packed with great Christmas decorations and I am sure its a crafts persons delight. It also has random Chritmas gifts so you might find some good last minute gifts here. -

As I've stated before, I'm not a huge fan knickknack stores. I did, however, appreciate what Wish List does and the concept behind the store. Walking in, you are bombarded with Halloween everywhere you look. They actually had some very interesting items. Moving past the Halloween, I found some gorgeous earrings (unfortunately I was unwilling to pay $30+ for them). They had some unique things (jewelry, purses . . . ). Getting to the back of the store, it was Christmas in October! I LOVE Christmas so I was very happy to see all the wonderful decorations an nativity scenes. I picked up a few ornaments and I can't wait to hang them on my tree (which isn't up yet but will be in a month and a half!). I was definitely glad I stopped to check out Wish List.
