What a great, cool, hipster, casual and comfortable diner. The best way to describe this eatery for me is down to earth. They have a fairly extensive food selection for all kinds of eaters. Omnivores, Vegetarians, Vegans and people with diet restrictions.
I myself will eat almost anything, so this time around I wanted to try some vegan gluten free grub. I went for the mac and cheesy vegan mac and cheese which is also gluten free and came with veggie hotdogs. The "cheddar" cheese was actually melty and tasted pretty close, but still doesnt compare to the real thing. But its nice to know there are other healthier alternatives out there. The shocking thing to me was the veggie hot dogs, which tasted and felt like meat hot dogs. I couldn't really tell the difference.
Next time I'm on a dairy free and gluten free kick, i'll definitely frequent this place.

Comfort food for the pickiest of eaters, The Wallflower's offerings don't discriminate against omnivores, vegans, vegetarians or celiacs. All, and I mean ALL, are all welcome here. In a city like ours, where you can't turn around without running into a dietary-restriction parade, this place wins. Full stop.
With its wooden walls, gorgeous curved bar, kitschy ceiling fans, beautiful floors, The Wallflower has the best, and I mean BEST Caesars in town. Just the right amount of kick to get me out of the comfort food slumber that their food will inevitably put me in. And can we talk about their burgers (ON GLUTEN FREE BUNS)? Portobello, The Canuck (with crisp bacon, gooey cheese, nummy lettuce, and sauteed mushrooms), blackened halibut -- the list goes on and on. The best part? They do it well. Really, really well. Even the silly gluten free bun is light and fluffy, not the dry and crumbly things we glutards are normally relegated to.
And if you're not doing the meat nor the wheat, they've got some gluten-free vegan poutine, made from scratch, just for you. -

Coming here post-theatre is like going to Chuck-E-Cheese's after visiting your grandparents at their retirement home. (No disrespect). Everyone was super cool a la urban outfitters; the 50's-60's mod music was a five star; the waitress in her indigo coloured stovepipe jeans did a fab job serving the entire place which was packed at 11 pm at night.
There was even a cooler version of Joaquim Phoenix during his dark stage and I found myself wondering why my date couldn't sport a big burly beard? I also felt like I had auditioned for a commercial for boring people and had accidentally walked onto the wrong set.
We ordered perogies and caesar salad; it certainly wasn't what Grandma used to make (but no one can match her greatness). They were much better than expected and were boiled and then slightly fried and smothered in butter, bacon and oninions in the way that all less-than-five star food is cleverly masked. Good job, guys!
I'd already had enough to drink and the lukewarm water that tasted like it was from the toilet made me take a liquid pass. But I didn't check the bathroom in spite of the curiosity that Marc D piqued. Beer seemed to be a better choice. The waitress did her job serving us and cleaning our table, and she wasn't about to ask us how our drink was when we were only ordering a single alcoholic beverage.
I want to give it a four, but I notice that the star rating of this place goes down incrementally with age. (Sorry Marc D, but hey, you didn't give it a one, after all).
I had previously visited for breakfast which seems to be a slightly better meal to choose here, but I can see why the cool kids would make this joint part of their regular rotation.
So if the Cascade Room is too old for you, this is the place to be! -

Cheap beer, good food, I'm easy to please. The service here is always awesome. It's the perfect place for a casual, cheap meal. Sometimes the food misses the mark a bit, but it's usually satisfying and very tasty, especially with a few $3 cans of Old Milwaukee. Even when it's busy, it's never too loud, so it's an awesome place to come to chill for the evening with friends.

The Wallflower makes dining out with dietary restrictions absolutely effortless. Living a gluten free lifestyle, I can't just walk into any restaurant and order what I want. Here, I can, and they make it look easy. They also make gluten free eating inexpensive and will adapt almost anything on the menu for only an extra dolalr!! The GF bread with my to-die-for Spicy Pulled Beef Hash was really good, the staff were all loving and friendly. This place is almost always packed for breakfast/brunch so be prepared to wait a couple minutes (never too long though!) and it is cash only with an ATM on site. Prices are very decent and the portion sizes are meant to satisfy. I can't get enough of this place!

A little hidden gem, Wallflower is a great place to lounge away the rainy Vancouver days. I came here with a bunch of friends on a Thursday afternoon. The place was packed. I ordered the chicken parmesan, not bad but not spectacular. The brunch menu looked pretty good and I will be back to try it. The disappointing thing about the restaurant was that the food took a bit too long to come out.

I've often stopped into the Wallflower to share a couple pitchers ($15) of R&B with friends before hitting a dance party.
But it also serves up a pretty tasty brunch with several glutton-free options. I've heard good things about the breakfast poutine, and their bennys are are pretty yummy too. -

Breakfast poutine with poached eggs and gravy.
Baked spaghetti.
Perogies.
Baked Apple "Pie."
These are just a few of my favourite things.
The Wallflower is my go-to place when I can't be bothered to make dinner for myself. They recently redid their menu to better reflect their decor, but all the goodies are still there.
The baked apple dessert is a must try. An apple cored and filled with walnut (?) butter, wrapped in pastry and drizzled with caramel, a la mode.
Friendly staff is always a plus, though you have to make it obvious that you're still there.
-1 for consistently inattentive service and empty water glasses.Listed in: I Eat Where I Live.

I went here last weekend for brunch with my friend. I had no idea they had vegan brunch so I was thrilled.
I got the portobello benedict and asked for it to be light on the oil. Sometimes veg friendly places really like to be liberal on the oil when they make up for no meat or cheese and I don't like that.
This came out great. The English muffin was great (and vegan) so it surprised me. The mushroom was really nice and I liked the scramble and cheezy sauce that was on top.
The roasted potatoes were also good and light. The only thing lack lustre was the salad. I would have preferred some steamed veg rather than a bland side salad for a breakfast item.
I'll definitely be back for some more vegan brunch one day!Listed in: Tastiest Vegan Eats in…

I've been going to The Wallflower regularly since it first opened, and the place have been getting better and better over the years which is fantastic (obviously it didn't think the restaurant was bad to begin with or else I would have stopped going a long time ago).
This is great "go to" place with a group of friends, as their menu can be vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free friendly. -

* B Attitude summed up *
Attitude can make such a difference in the world - particularly when eating.
- Bad attitude: Indifferent greeting when walking through the door.
- Bad attitude: Cleaning off tables and chatting behind the bar prior to giving a menu, even though it wasn't crowded at all.
- Bad attitude: 15 minute wait after finally getting a menu before coming to ask for order in a distracted way.
- Bad attitude: Sign in the washroom: http://www.yelp.ca/biz... While I know it is supposed to be in jest, it sums up exactly how I felt treated as a customer.
I ordered the turkey club. The sandwich had very good hand carved turkey on it. That was the highlight of the meal. The tomato was mealy. Had to take it off and not eat it. The bread was fairly garden variety supermarket type. The sandwich was not a good platform for the very good turkey. What a waste. Photo: http://www.yelp.ca/biz...
The fries were an embarrassment. They were limp soggy fries, with no attitude. They did have that taste you get when baking frozen fries in the oven at home. Meh. Nasty. Didn't eat them. Photo: http://www.yelp.ca/biz...
I'm guessing the "chef" has a similar attitude to what I saw front of house, which would explain the stuff on my plate.
I noticed the table next to me ordered the same club. At least my toast wasn't burned to a black crisp like theirs. That is a positive, right?
Now if they could only take the very good turkey and send it over to the Brown Dog cafe for their club and serve it there with their nice service it would be a match made in heaven: http://www.yelp.ca/biz...

Had Dinner here last night - It is a fabulous place if you have any sort of food allergies - especially if you have issues with Gluten as I do. There is nothing like biting into a nice juicy hamburger with a bun when you can't usually get one. This place caters to Omnivores, Carnivores and gluten free. Highly recommend trying their breakfast's.
The whole debit thing is quite annoying but now that I know I can be prepared. As for the staff - they were fantastic. It is a busy place and yet they still manged to keep the drinks coming and make sure that we had what we needed. -

Oh modern wallflower.. Looks like things have changed.
Service: friendly staff but overly chatty and not engaged. Water glasses were not refilled and we had to use the force to stare you down for some attention. I get that work should be fun and it's great that you enjoy your co-workers but I felt a little neglected.
Menu: Nice new menu with a great new design. A lot of pages and a little busy but it totally suits you. I also appreciate getting the full menu upfront so I didn't need to ask you for the vegan/gluten free options.
Food: hmmm, seems to be less and less tasty. The vegan chili was always my staple meal but today the flavors were quite bland and ordinary.
I do love you modern wallflower so I hope that things will be better next time.Listed in: Vegan & Vegetarian Friendly

Review from ELLE A.
Vancouver, BC
Started our tryst with The Wallflower months ago after a night of indulging in Vancouverrr nightlife til' daylight. On a tear for the comfort food that is a MUST HAVE after a night of liver torture, we spied this sassy little vixen of a diner quietly and coyly lounging on the north side of Broadway and Main street... batting those vegan eyelashes...and promising a menu of gluten-free sweetness - we had no choice but to check it out. With a sense of the contemporary, modern-day, speed-dating attitude we committed only to something small and hard to screw up....and ordered THE "GLUTEN FREE VEGAN POUTINE". PEOPLE!!!!! It was SPECTACULAR!! And I was not faking it...- We exchanged numbers and I offered all seven digits of my real number indicating a genuine interest - promising we would be back.....It took months more to return after having stopped here and there at other restaurants and cafes wistfully looking for the kinetic moment of when lust meets satisfaction... and on average - the experiences still left us wanting more - it being especially tough on us gluten-free deviants... running into more and more eating houses and cafes that promised more than they could deliver - or worse... promised gluten-free alternatives only to drive ALL the way there to find the alternative was FRUIT!! ( *a-hem* see our review of "THE BROWN DOG CAFE"). None-the-less, today we returned once more after a night of chocolate patron and lifelong friends united by the weekend. Again - we drove all the way across town to check out a highly-touted gluten-free cafe ( by it's own website though... we shoulda known) only to be disappointed and treated to a trite exit line of "we don't DO gluten free anymore". We returned to Main street and saw The Wallflower with her understated brown facade, lounging like she was when we first met, this time with a glint in her smile that said... "it's okay - I KNEW you'd be back... " and back we were... this time sinking into her comfy cushioned benches and warm wood veneer walls. We both ordered the Portobello Mushroom burger on gluten-free buns with ...wait for it... GLUTEN FREE VEGAN POUTINE and surrendered ourselves morsel by morsel into the loving and nourishing arms of our Wallflower. Not all beginnings are explosive and fiery , sometimes true love takes time to simmer, patience is a virtue or what ever cliche you'd like to paraphrase that turns your crank... whatever it is - you can mull over it in the sanctity of The Wallflower and discover all her glorious gluten-free splendour and vegan vampy-ness that is best saved for people just like me and you.

Food was really yummy and portions are good sized. Had the omelette with chicken, spinach and mushrooms. Omelette was cooked in quite a bit of oil or butter by the looks of it, but that is what it makes it taste good I suppose! Will go back for sure, I want to try one of their Benny's next time.

I went to The Wallflower for breakfast. I had the meatload benny. I should of ordered a half portion! It was huge! Very delicious but quite rich. Certainly exceeded my expectations.
The staff are not the friendliest but they did the job!
They do not accept debit as a form of payment which always bothers me about a food joint.
All in all a good experience. I would return. -

The Wallflower seems to have worked through its first-year bumps and managed to create a menu that really works.
Love the vegan comfort food, especially the mac n' cheese & the nachos.
Keep aiming to try the vegan creme brule, but am usually too stuffed to get dessert. The mission continues... -

I've been to the Wallflower three times now and I've always left a happy camper.
I first went because of the extensive gluten-free options as both my mother and sister are celiac, and I was trying out the diet for myself. I believe I ordered a burger, and though it wasn't the same without a regular bun, it was still darn good.
The second time a whole group of us went for my mother's birthday, and it was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed their meals, the drinks were delicious, and the service was warm and friendly. They were very accommodating as we brought our own cake and they refrigerated it and helped hide it from my mother.
And then I went again last weekend for brunch and I was pretty happy. I ordered the Salmon Benny and tea. One of my eggs was a little overcooked and the tea was not hot (they said it was boiling water, but I have my doubts...) but otherwise it was just the sort of brunch I wanted. The hash browns were delish too.
So, the long and the short of it? The Wallflower is a great place for casual food and food allergy sufferers. The food isn't out-of-this world good, but it's always tasty, the service is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and fun. -

I went to the Wallflower when it was new. I thought it was decent, the girl serving was nice, but a little out of it. I never really thought about returning because my girlfriend was not a fan of the food and to be honest, we kind of forgot about it.
I went last night and frankly, it's a lot better. The burger I had was delicious and had a real "home cooked" feel to it. Soft bun, the meat wasn't oily, and the fries were good. The beer was a fresh keg also.
As well, the server, someone named "dandy," was a super easy going bearded dude with a nice demeanor and awesome music taste (the guy put Danzig on for freak's sake and made my friend's night/week/year).
The last time I went they had one beer on tap and last night they had three. The food was much better as well. I will be back. -
Review from Allen C.
Just the kind of place I like to be in the morning. The selection of breakfast entrees and full page of vegan dishes makes me feel as I am not just going to another one of those bacon and eggs joint.
I had the tomato and spinach Benedict. Light flavored Hollandaise sauce and not the heavy artery blocking kind. Egg was perfectly fluffed and not overcooked. The fresh garden salad on the side is good on its own and no dressing needed.
Wallflower provides that much needed healthy mix of greens, poached eggs and multigrains so you can easily say you are going to have that healthy start to the morning.
Note: A must-have that i also recommend for those not ready to go vegan is the breakfast poutine where the lightly sauced gravy isn't too thick and overpowering. -
Review from Tessa B.
How the Hell have I not reviewed the Wallflower before? Probably because it has over 100 reviews and maybe doesn't need more, but I need to add it to my list of awesome Bloody Mary's, so here we go!
I first went to the Wallflower after googling gluten-free places in Vancouver, and I was SO pleased when I walked in the door! Don't get me wrong, I love greasy hole in the wall diners as much as the next person, but I ALSO love places that really care about aesthetic, and this place really does. They have beautifully coordinated, artistic decor, and showcase interesting pieces by local artists.
Now, onto the food. YUM! They have gluten-free up the wazoo! Make sure to ask for the Gluten Free menu. I get the the Corn and blackbean hash with a gluten free bun. Best gosh-darn brunch I know of in the city. Hands down. Pour some hot-sauce on there and add a Bloody mary, and you're in heaven.
Aw yes, the Bloody Mary's. So, so, so good. BUT! I have found that you have to specify you want it "Made like a Caeser, but with Tomato juice instead of Clamato", otherwise they will literally just bring you vodka and tomato juice. This isn't their fault, it's Canada's. Bloody Mary's a really more of an American thing. A delicious, delicious American thing.Listed in: Gluten Free, Happy Me!, Best Bloody Mary's!

Really cool place. Cool decor, cool crowd, cool staff! Cool everything!
We were so super starved when we ventured into this place. It was around 3pm Saturday, and I still didn't have any breakfast. Reason being is that once I go to MEC, I turn into a deranged shoppaholic and stay there for hours.
I had an omelette (I subbed hash for fruit) and my friend had spicy crispy chicken wrap, I really liked the wrap! Omelette was good, nothing mind blowing, but just what I needed.
It took them a looooooong time to get our food though, about 40min. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was super nice and apologetic. He even gave us 10% off of our bill because the food took so long. Now that was nice of him. Great service on his side!
Will definitely go back! -
Review from Mike K.
Solid choice for breakfast. We'd just gotten into town the night before, so this was our first meal in Canada. It reminded me of many places we've been in Portland...somewhat hipster, but not so much so as to offend.
The coffee was rock solid, and the service was friendly and quick. I had some sort of benedict, and it was really good, with filling portions.
They played a good mix of music while we were here, and I hope to return here the next time we're in town. -

With the memory of an awesome Yelp Elite party still in mind (Jello shooters and big hair were involved; it was a memorable one), I stopped by the Wallflower for breakfast recently.
It's well-known for gluten-free/vegan food, which is not really my bag of steak sandwiches, but I was looking forward to its spin on regular breakfast fare. And a side of hipster watching. I ordered the crab cake benny, as I do love crab cakes.
Unfortunately, the crab cake turned out to be curried ... which might have worked on its own, but draped in hollandaise sauce, it was just too rich. I also thought that perhaps a strong flavour in the dish, like curry spice, ought to be mentioned on the menu.
So I pushed it aside and cleaned my plate otherwise. When the server came to clear, though, I told her that I didn't really enjoy the curried flavour. They didn't have to, but they took half the price for the dish off the bill.
So I was just satisfied and thought, no special reason to go back, really .... hold the phone, did someone say Breakfast Poutine?! OK, I'll bite.Listed in: Diners

Funky and smilin', our hipster-esque server greets the young man with a deep brown beard at the table beside us, "Well hello there! You're lookin' mighty beardy today!" We all laughed. Our server was fabulous and let us hang out there for a good 3 hours. It was midday with a steady flow of traffic.
I had the Shrimp Bacon Avocado Wrap with Butternut Squash soup ($11). Filling, delish and nourishing with natural ingredients and so reasonably priced.

I came here for my monthly get-together with the girls, and we all enjoyed The Wallflower a lot. I ordered the fried chicken and mashed potatoes, which comes with gravy and seasonal vegetables, while my friends had the pulled bbq beef sandwich with the soup-of-the-day, the turkey dinner, and a chicken wrap.
The portions are pretty big, which is a great deal for the prices. We all struggled to finish our meals or had to pack the rest to go. My chicken was nice and juicy, and the gravy added some great flavour. My friend was a little underwhelmed with her pulled beef sandwich but loved her soup, which I believe was gluten-free mushroom. We all agreed that the food seemed like a good home-cooked meal.
We didn't get a whole lot of service there but when we did get it, it was friendly enough. -

I've only been here for brunch, but i've had a solid experience each time. I personally don't have any dietary restrictions, but if i go out for breakfast with people who do, this is usually where i end up because of all their veggie and gluten-free choices.
They would be getting four stars, but i find the place a bit too noisy on weekends- pretty much the reason why i don't come here unless someone else suggests it. I'm not sure if the domed ceiling has anything to do with it, but the acoustics in this place can make it hard to hear the person sitting next to you, so i find myself focusing more on trying to actively listen to my table's conversation than focusing on the flavor of my food! I was here once on a quieter weekday and had no problems though!
When i come here, i usually get their omelet dish- you get to build your own from a pretty good selection of ingredients, and to make it sweeter (figuratively, not literally...), it comes with a little salad! It's super reasonably priced and i always feel like i get my money's worth! I also still need to try their breakfast poutine. I would never order this myself, but my boyfriend got it a few weeks ago and it looked pretty good... Actually, it must have been good because he forgot to save me a bite when i had asked him if he would let me try it after he ordered the dish! -

It used to be the Aurora Bistro which was more upscale and classy, now it is The Wallflower which is funky, more hipster and fun. My friends decided to have our reunion lunch here because one of my buddies has been here so many times that he's already tried around 60% of the menu. And that guy is hard to please.
We were lucky we came just before a huge surge of people arrived. We were seated immediately, but weren't greeted at the entrance. Our server was nice and friendly, but the service was horribly slow (even before the slew of people arrived).
Around the table, we ordered the Meatloaf Benny, the Peach Benny, the Hummus Dip and the special of the day which was a green plate, with black bean salsa and chez Benny (which he mauled as soon as he got it, must have been delish). The Peach Benny was quite good, it was a nice portion too. The Hummus Dip is delicious as well. The Meatloaf Benny was nice and moist, and the hollandaise looked like Cheez Whiz but didn't taste like hollandaise at all - it was much better. Overall, it was really good. Great price too.
What I also liked about this place was there was a vegan menu! I ain't no vegan (and life is too short to not enjoy meat), but if you or someone you know is vegan, they could (potentially) enjoy dining here.
The only thing I wasn't very impressed with was the speed of service. Kind of slow (like I said). We were ready to go right after our meal and we waited 10-15 mins for a server to get our bill, right as there were people being made to wait by the entrance. But overall pretty good. I would definitely come back.
3.5/5 but since there's no half stars, I'm bumping it up to 4/5. Good food, good price, good times. -

One Saturday afternoon, was wondering along Main, and my boyfriend needed food, fast! He wanted brunch, and as luck would have it, Wallflower served brunch till 4pm! Nice and cool interior (with some artwork on the wall I would love to have purchased had it not been so pricey!). We instantly had large glasses of water brought over with ice cubes.
I ordered the butternut squash soup, a dish which I've never tried before. YUM! It was thicker than I expected, and very tasty! I would have liked a bit more bread to dip in, but what can ya do. Would like to visit again soon so I can try something new! -
Review from Matt D.
I'm surprised that I haven't made it to The Wallflower sooner than I did.
While Vancouver doesn't quite have the Gluten Free/Vegetarian/Vegan selection that my current town (Portland) does, it seems that this market is growing at a rapid rate. I still remember that the only place you could go for decent Vegetarian/Vegan eats at 1am was The Naam (which I still adore) but fortunately this is changing.
I was staying very close to The Wallflower on this visit and decided it would be a good place to stumble over to at 11pm for a late dinner. I ordered the gardenburger with a side salad which was quite delicious. It wasn't overly moist or soggy, but not too dry like gardenburgers often are. The bun was fluffy, moist and delicious and the vegetables were fresh and given in generous quantities.
My dining partners ordered the vegan (and gluten free) poutine and the lightning fries. The poutine was surprisingly good (I'm typically not a fan of conventional poutine) and the chili on the lightning fries was too die for. Often chili on fries can be too rich, but this chili was the perfect fry-topper.
Overall, I really did enjoy my experience here. The drinks were affordable (by Vancouver standards) and the beer selection was pretty good as well. I think I'll be making this a regular stop any time I'm back in town.Listed in: Breakfast/Brunch - Nature's…, Veggie burgin', Vancity!

One night after class I decided to pop in here for some vegan dinner. I had heard they had vegan Mac&Cheese, and if you know me, this is definitely a plus.
It's really dark, but compared to the packed Foundation across the street, at least I could see my food. They only had one person working the floor, which made getting a seat fairly confusing, but she was really nice, so no complaints there really.
So the food! I ordered the appetizer sized Lightning Fries, and a small side order Mac and Cheese.
The "poutine" like fries were, alright. Not nearly as good as I had hoped. They pack it REALLY high, so you can't really mix it, and unlike the original, it uses more of a chili than a gravy. I was hoping for more of a gravy poutine with the fixings, so I was disappointed.
The vegan Mac&Cheese however was delicious. Creamy, flavourful, and baked, it really was great.
I felt like desert after, and as they only had vegan chocolate cake on the menu, I asked the waitress if there was anything else. She said she'd sub the regular ice-cream to soy for the ice-cream vegan choco-chunk cookie sandwich. If there was something that beat the pasta, it was this. I wish the cookies had been warmed though in order for it to compare to the one at the Spiral Diner (TX), but it was tasty the way it was.
All in all, not bad! I'm not rushing to go back, but I'm glad I know it's there. -

What a cute little diner.
At first glance, I didn't think it was open but we had passed so many little eateries on this Saturday morning that were packed and this one was open and had plenty of seating.
I ordered the breakfast sandwich which was like an actual sandwich. Typical breakfast fare with eggs, bacon and cheese but it also had lettuce, onion and tomato. The bread was a kaiser roll of sorts. Very tasty and it came with some hash browns.
The service was quick and friendly. They made you feel as though you could hang out there for a while without an issue.
In the trendy Mount Pleasant district.
I would check it out again. -

Great food! Great staff! Good times all the time...love going there for brunch and also a fun place on Main to go for an evening cocktail.
It's really that the menu allows for all diets; vegans, celiacs, and carnivores can all dine happily together!
Really nice to see a restaurant owner that supports the local art community...100% of the proceeds of the monthly artist exhibit go to the artist!
Great, great, great, place...can't say enough great things about the Wallflower! -

Thank goodness for restaurants that cater to glutards like me!! My guts appreciate the Wallflower so much!
This is the first restaurant I have found that my meat-eating family and I (gluten, dairy & meat free) can all eat something delicious.
And 2 kinds of gluten-free beer!? Yes please... -

Was super excited to try this place since it had a gluten free menu! I had the gluten free canuck burger - with no cheese since I'm allergic. I read in other reviews that they offered Daiya cheese but the server didn't offer it as an option. Maybe they were out?
The burger was not bad. It didn't have enough sauce on it so it was a bit dry. I added lots of ketchup. It had one piece of bacon - for that price I would put 2 pieces. It was so tall and the bun was so small that I ended up eating it with a fork and knife since it was kind of impossible to eat without making a huge mess. For those of you with un-hinging jaws it would be no problem.
The french fries were dry and unseasoned - I could definately make something better at home. Kind of disappointed in that - they should try making some home cut fries or something - seems like it would suit the place better. I didn't bother to finish them.
My friends had the spinach dip appetizer and said it was amazing. Everyone enjoyed thier meal and the waitress was friendly. The water glasses were so small and I ran out of water and was super thirsty for most of the time. So it would have been nice to get more refills.
The atmosphere is kind of fun with cartoons playing on a screen and some funky art pieces for sale. It was fairly noisy and it's probably a good idea to make a reservation if you're going on a Friday with a bigger group.
Overall, the food was just ok but the experience was positive so I wouldn't mind going again to try something else on the menu. -

MAC AND CHEESE, MAC AND CHEESE. I got mine with real cheese and veggie dog slices. Holy crap was it ever good, I think probably up there in the ranks of "best ever!"
My friend had a pulled beef sandwich and tackled that beast for about an hour and finally came out victorious. The portions are definitely generous and the food is crazy tasty.
There are daily food and drink specials which is always fine by me. Hopefully next time I come it'll be on a vegetarian pot pie day, I want to try one! -
