Good, central location in downtown victoria to get some vitamins or alternative medical remedies. Not being very familiar with victoria and traveling with no car, it seemed like a the vitamin store was the only option for me to get some herbal flu remedies that was safe for pregnancy.
Prices were similar to other health stores I've been to and the herbal remedy I was looking for was $7 cheaper than whole foods in Vancouver!
The store is clean, fairly large and organized. Staff were friendly but didn't seem too knowledgeable with the elderberry remedy that I was asking about. They Simply read the bottle when I asked them a question... Which I obviously did and only asked them because the bottle didn't answer my question. They told me to ask my health care provider.
I am very happy to get what I needed without too much searching! -

Seemingly one would think a shop like this in a coveted downtown location would be pricey. Not so. My fluoradix iron is the cheapest I've found and my cleanse kit was $10 less than GNC.
Service is sometimes hard to come by seeing as they're a pretty hopping vitamin shop, but when you do snag one of the ladies she'll do her best to let you know the difference between the array of options.
They offer several non-vitaminy items too. I first discovered coconut oil there and it's practically replaced butter in my kitchen. Drizzle some of that on your popcorn....mmmmm. And they have all the Rescue Remedies you could ask for from sprays to pills to drops.
I'm not a huge 'pill' fan, but the Vitamin Shop offers so much more to make your life just that much better. They've done a pretty good job of making a normally laborious task into something fun. -

For the most part I love this place, but the one time they don't have what I want they try to sell me something I don't want. Irritating. To make matters worst the product I was looking for is now banned in Canada, but rather than tell me that I leave under the impression they no longer carry the product out of low sales. I was forced to go one a goose chase.
