As someone who travels a lot, there are only a handful of stores in Canada that I can go to that sell cool travel gadgets, practical items and luggage. This one is my absolute favourite.
From packing cubes, to money belts, to sporks (spoon+fork combination) there's something here for everyone from the casual vacationer, business traveler or hardcore camper. My most recent treasures are a set of squishy silicone bowls (safe for oven, microwave, freezer & dishwasher) and the Vazu vases which store flat, but when you put water in them become a stable vase to hold bouquets! I also bought a water bottle that packs flat (Vapur brand)- perfect for flying because I throw into a side pocket of my carry-on bag through security and then fill it up at a water fountain near my plane's gate! And in the hot summer weather one should always have a water bottle with you - and this one takes up no space when it's empty!
The staff are knowledgeable about their products and make practical recommendations based on what you need. Every time I stop into The Travel Bug I always leave with something I didn't even know existed, but has made my travelling life so much easier!
