Ok! It is not your average consignment store or vintage and does not look like one. It is not jammed packed in clothes. I did not notice the smell since I was in other vintage stores of the neighborhood before heading to this one and I certainly noticed that every piece In store is in great condition. No dust, no wrinkle, no sign of cheap dry cleaning and no trace of bad stain removing job.
And maybe that's why it has a slightly higher price tag compare to others. Other thing is that I found a lot of Italian haute brands in store which we know are superficial in sizing. I didn't find the lady " matronly" or something. She was simply busy . In fact she several times invited me to see the rest of the stuff at the back. And I found Lanvin, Versace and Marc Jacob back there. I liked the taste of whoever has already hand picked what you see in store. It looks like a current trends boutique rather than a vintage store.

During the Leslieville Stomp I was perusing several of the surrounding stores scoping out the deals. Let me tell you this was no thrill.

As we walked in the door your nostrils were assailed with the scent of moth balls and musty clothes. I knew this was a consignment store so the scents were expected, but I wasn't expecting the prices. There wasn't an item less than a hundred dollars, and nothing really seemed worth it in my humble opinion. The true turn off for me was the abominable service we received, or didn't rather, from the holier than thou matronly service agent. She barely gave us a second glance based solely on the fact that we weren't in our finest duds. Little did she know, my shopping companion has been known to drop a pretty penny on fabulous finds. Oh well, their loss.

Bottom line...maybe you will find something out of this world, but probably not, should be renamed Thrill of the Underwhelming.

It's not been said, so I am going to say it: I did not find this place thrilling nor did I find anything!"

I will echo Danielle P.'s mothball concern because this place smelt like it. Also the racks were pretty bare, the items overpriced and sadly nothing really jumped out at me and made me wish I too had a 38 inch bust and 22 inch waist.

*sighs* it's just as well... I have enough vintage shops in the West end that will tantalize my passion for all things rad and retro!
