Probably my favorite restaurant in Victoria but I haven't had a chance to go there in a while which is a shame.
Excellent food and great service. -

We found Temple by accident (after we found our first choice closed), it was a Sunday night at 7PM and it was empty - that should have been the first warning sign but hey, it's Sunday in sleepy downtown Victoria and we are on vacation. The space looked nice so we decided to give it a try.
My Mom ordered a coffee and they brought her a bowl of salt, she proceeded to put in her coffee only to realize after the first sip....it wasn't sugar! The waitress laughed it off and said the kitchen must have played a joke on her (well, the joke was on your customer).
The food, really not good. We had the seafood soft tacos - the tortillas were stale and the seafood inside way too spicy. We also ordered the vegetable quesadilla, another miss. The food was more like bad cafeteria food, not what you would expect from the space they are serving it in (like I say, a restaurant cannot survive on sexy space alone).
They have a lounge and I saw 'Live DJ' on Friday and Saturday so this place might be a fun spot on the weekend to have a drink and dance. If people are drinking maybe they don't much care about the quality of the food.....just saying! -

it was their opening night at 2am and the crowd was a buzzin and excited. interior is nice i guess. but the music was boring, the bartender was really uninterested and the chorizo flatbread was wayyy overpriced and tasteless. reminds me a lot of the food at the strathcona... blah.
