Pricey but good value for money. Most amazing decadent sinful buffet of flavorful yumminess. I went here for my birthday last year - consumed several million calories - and loved every single moment of it.

The crepes are terrible. The crepe itself is of poor quality and they only serve them plain, they will not put topping in it while it's cooking as is done with proper crepes. Instead they ask you to put toppings on yourself.
None of the cakes were any good. They hardly have a better selection than what is available at Sunday brunch there anyway.
The service was bad too. The host was too busy talking up one of the waitresses to pay any attention to the customers.
Pity the fool who goes there without a Wine Club card. -

At $28 per person (not including taxes and tips), you would expect a spectacular chocolate buffet, but don't get your hopes up too high. The crepes were delicious and you get a choice of different flavoured sorbets or icecreams. The chocolate selection was okay, although some of the cakes weren't as good as I was hoping.
Would have been nice to have tea/coffee included in the price instead of having to pay $4.50 extra.
Overall, it's a great idea to go for a girls night or a date night, but I wouldn't go back. Once for the experience is enough for me and paying a total of $40 isn't too appealing. -

I felt this needed it's own listing. While it is IN the Sutton Place Hotel, all the other reviews are more regarding the hotel as a hotel - somewhere to stay the night.
The Chocoholic Buffet deserves it's own individual mention. It's on only Thursday, Friday and Saturdays, and it's the most decadent thing I've ever seen.
I was taken here on a date, and I was blown away. Every possible chocolate dessert you could think of, laid before you in a magnificent spread; with chocolate fountains pouring over fresh fruit, chocolate croissant bread-and-butter pudding, crepes filled with chocolate (and whatever else you may fancy). I can't even remember all the things that were there.
While yes, at $26/person it's pretty pricey for dessert, it's one of those indulgences that are worth doing at least once.
Note: I wouldn't come here after dinner. I'd come here on an empty stomach and a massive sweet tooth.
