Nice place to study and work on some stuff. It is very quiet and empty since most people just drop by to buy coffees.
You will easily get tables at this store. Tables are a bit small to spread out all your lecture notes, textbook and laptop. since it is not crowded you can just combine 2 tables. Even though there are some people in the store, there is a decent amount of space between tables to give privacy.
However, the music is a bit too loud. And as far as I can tell, there are no power outlets in this Second Cup. Furthermore, internet connection is really bad. I occasionally get disconnected every 5-10 minutes.
Overall, this is a good place to study. You can literally have the whole store to yourself. It's just that the customers seem to lack energy and look like they are going to die tomorrow. It's a bit depressing. -

I sat at this Second Cup today, for half a minute, while I was deciding what I was going to have, staring at their menu. I always do this before choosing.
So, after sitting for no more than 30 seconds, the owner told me the tables were only for customers and I was not allowed to sit there, I should sit somewhere else.
I have never, EVER seen this kind of behavior from a Second Cup manager. I decided to buy my drink from another store and sit on one of the food court tables, where I could comfortably use Second Cup's free internet.
The lady lost money and offered me free internet. Isn't she so intelligent?
