Salmon lovers rejoice! Located within the Granville Island market, you can get all types of salmon here. Spouse went crazy and bought a little of everything:
* Smoked salmon - Fresh, delectable, melt-in-your mouth consistency.
* Salmon lox - Mild tasting, was fantastic on crackers
* Salmon jerky - Spicy! Not too chewy, but be warned: You will have cat breath afterwards!
* Salmon sausage - Spouse didn't like as much, a bit dry
On the other end of the counter, it looks like they have other seafood. I didn't really check out that side, but it was doing a brisk business.
The guy behind the counter was helpful, didn't mind us getting a little bit of everything. I was curious about the salmon candy, but I wasn't in the mood for the taste of "fishy and sweet."
No doubt the next time we're in the area, we'll be back again! -

The Halibut was very fresh and tasty. The counter person did not check her own prices before she punched them into the scale. I would have been overcharged if I had not stood my ground.

Whenever I go to Granville Island, I can't leave until I've picked up a bag of salmon candy from here. At $25/lb, it's definitely a splurge, but the chunks of maple-y goodness are irresistible! I've also picked up salmon and mussels from here - all of them very fresh and clean.
I would buy here all the time if I lived closer but I only buy here when I have a dinner where I need impress. Or... you know, if I have a massive craving for maple salmon candy. -

Fresh, fresh fish. As you might imagine, there are all sorts of wild salmon - sockeye, chinook, coho, king, and steelhead (although some say it's a trout).
Their smoked fish are pretty expensive. I got a little tiny strip of smoked salmon (belly portion) and it was a whopping ~$6 CAD.
But if I lived nearby, I would definitely be buying fish here. -

The shop's titular name pretty much explains it all. They sell salmon. King, koho, sockeye... Everything here is incredibly fresh and it's cheaper than what's available at the Public Market (marginally so but still).
Also on offer are other accoutrements for your salmon-eating pleasure: maple syrup, flavoured salts, cheese. -

I've been here a couple times to take advantage of the Sockeye run. Its cheaper than the supermarket for sure, and just a bit more than buying directly from fishermen at the docks, plus they wrap it for you and they will filet your salmon for no extra charge. The lady that helped me was very friendly and pleasant, and she was nice enough to wrap my fish with ice so it would stay cool on the ride home. Sockeye Salmon is $6.99/ pound at the moment. If you are visiting Granville Island its worth checking out this place!

The Salmon Shop always catches my eye and I can't resist getting something for my lunch, dinner or even snacktime. Maple or tandoori glazed smoked salmon chunks are good for a protein fix, and the salmon pie is good to bring in my lunch bag to work. I even found my new favourite green here too - local sea asparagus - along with a brochure on how to make it. It was devine!
