I met a friend here for coffee as it is in our neighborhood. The coffee was pretty good, but what was even better was the fact that they have a little play area for kids!! My toddler occupied himself for over an hour with toys and coloring. They also have drinks and snacks geared for kids. I will definitely be coming back!

* Bitter *
- Bitter grumpy service (sorry for daring to come in while you were watching a game on TV)
- Bitter sludgy espresso Photo: http://www.yelp.ca/biz...
This place left a bitter taste in my mouth figuratively and literally!Listed in: Vancouver Coffee

I was so excited to see Brandy at The Roasted Bean today, she's the cafes amazing owner, whom I swear is telepathic, cause I had been missing her delicious wraps all week when suddenly she comes up to me and says, "Hey, how are you doing?! I've got an extra half of this BLTC wrap, would you like to give it a try?"
Would I ever!!
As if Chuck Norris appeared and performed a roundhouse kick to my tastebuds!! I am so happy!
The BLTC wrap. I like to think of it as the 'Brandy Loves to Take Care' of you wrap. I ordered a Mango smoothie for my sister and a Raspberry smoothie for myself and kept sneaking sips from both. So good!!
Mental Note: I realized this is the only cafe in the area that seems to make fruit and coffee smoothies.
Brandy whipped up this beautiful salad like it was nothing when I asked if she had anything without Wheat as my sister might be Celiac, (which means her body doesn't digest gluten). Such amazing service!! I even got a chance to sample one of her soups- oh dear heavens, it was really good.
There's a big flat screen tv here to chill out and beautiful atmosphere. Great space for friends, I can't wait to have a boardgame night here!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Gosh!! The soup here KNOCKED MY SOCKS OFF!!! Absolutely hearty, deeericious, and fresh tasting. The sample of coffee I had was smooth and tasty too. I can't wait to come try more! The decor: classy-- it really stands out in this neighborhood (and I live here)! The Barista is the owner, a sassy lass named Brandy (her hubby's name is Gus). Super friendly!! I can't wait to come back... Oh! And the panini's are only $5.50... not bad not bad!
