Review from Susie H.
Definitely far too expensive, especially for something student-run and with mediocre food. Plus, at lunch time there are the usual lines as with any place in the SUB.
I ordered the grilled chicken burger ($5.50) and waffle fries ($2.95). I highly regret ordering the chicken - it took 12 minutes to come out, while other people were getting regular burgers with sides of fries in about a minute. The chicken burger was tiny (less than half the size of the bun), dry and didn't taste fresh. There wasn't any sauce on it and it was garnished with lettuce and a really pale and sad looking slice of tomato. My friends had burgers and they said they were nothing special, although still satisfying to a hungry person in need of a substantial lunch.
The only good thing was the waffle fries. They were heavily seasoned and really nice and crunchy. Far superior to the regular fries, which were underdone, mushy and if anything worse than most fast food places. Since the waffle fries only run you an extra 20 cents, they are definitely worth it.
They also do daily deals, but that being said they are still $6+ for some type of burger, a small side of fries and a can of pop.
Verdict: if I can help it, I won't be back. -

I ordered a mushroom burger today at lunch because it was on special. Now the specials display sign showed a nice juicy burger with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc. I assumed it was a regular burger with mushrooms. Eh.. all it was was a burger patty with a load of grilled mushrooms and mayonnaise on top between buns.
I had to pay an extra $1.20 to get my lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. And when he did give them to me, I only got 2 measley paper-thin slices of tomatoes and a small handful or lettuce and onions.
The best thing about this meal was the fries. They were fresh and crispy and not to thin-cut. Plus the peels were still on. -

The burgers are sub-par, you can get food for better at A&W in the food court upstairs of the SUB.
Best part of this place for me would be the poutine. You get a large plate for about $3 and they don't use cheese curds but top it with mozzarella and cheddar cheese instead.
