Sure you can hit up the antique stores on Main Street for hand selected gorgeous pieces, but you'll pay the price. I like the Peg because you get to experience the thrill of the hunt and if you catch something good, you might actually be able to afford to walk out with it. I saw several cute pieces the last time I visited. Antique aficionados might scoff, but it a good spot for folks who want a vintage look without paying through the nose.

Review from Roanna Z.
Usually I have seen this "antique" place from across the street. For the longest time I stayed on the other side of commercial within this block but I have broken the cycle ! I have CROSSED the street to the OTHER side... it's a new world for me over there.
The Peg had some speaker stands out front for 20 bucks. The big guy scooped 'em up. We wandered in. Vintage, Retro, Antique. Junk and collectibles. A mirror with Ram horn hooks, eek. A fake Deer head for the wall, your grandmothers tea pot, your great uncles chest of drawers.
The store is almost like a museum. It's kind of organized at least so you don't feel like you might trip or have something crawl out at you or tip over. The proprietors are nice and have a sense of humour too.Listed in: Shopping

The Peg, which sells vintage (or modern) furniture and collectibles is a really fun place to drop in, and if you're lucky you'll find that something special to make your home a bit more unique in its decor. This store always has a nice range of vintage (not necessarily antique) furnishings from desks and tables to vintage electronics (telephones, sewing machines), and much of it is in quite good shape. I'd describe this place as more quirky than formal, but if you're into shabby chic or just like the look of some well-made older furnishings, you'll be happy you stopped by.
