Review from sarah l.
The Pastry House is in the same breakfast category as the Leslieville Diner. It's inexpensive and just what you would expect. Only... it's not what you would expect.
After entering you have to order at the cash register (minus one star to me) - but the breakfast and lunch options are aplenty. I had bacon, eggs toast and hashbrowns and their hashbrowns were on the mediocre side of good but everything else was pretty tasty.
They sell pastries, but mostly of the samosa variety. There weren't really any croissants from what I recall.
All in all, this is a solid greasy spoon option, with a nicer than average sign out front. It's never really busy but there are always a few people inside.
I would definitely eat here again, and I liked the decor and the staff better than the Leslieville Diner, but the food was pretty comparable.Listed in: Breakfasts, List of great dumps
