One of the few places that I have been to multiple (10+) times that isn't a sushi restaurant.
Chicken nuggets - get them. They're so popular that they come out within 5 minutes because they always have some ready to serve (fresh, too).
If you've seen people post pictures with their gigantic bubble teas, this is where they got them. I don't love them but they're awesome to share if you want something to drink. They used to be weary about splitting it for you but now they realize if they're making such ridiculously tall drinks, they should split it for you too (saves them from cleaning up the mess.)
Prices are great for what you get.
I've ordered take out from them twice. Once they gave me tea while I waited. Little details like that make me love coming back. -

WARNING! THEY SERVE HUGE PORTIONS!
I was a hungry man for our last meal in Canada, so I ordered hawaiian fried fried rice which includes pineapple, ham, veggies and it surprises me with dried pork! It was some pretty good fried rice, but the portion was too massive for me to devour. Next I got some appetizers, which was some spicy wontons. It was pretty spicy and flavorful, which was okay and next my friends recommended their monster slush. I've made some bubble tea here and there, so I'm like okay... I guess I should try out their monster slush and when it came out, I was surprised. How the hell do you stack this much slush into a cup and it still comes out to be a pretty nice cone. The waitress had to get another cup to cut down the slush size and mines had some frozen real fruits to show off that they use some or all real fruits. I had the summer berries and it was the best slush I've tried. It was a mix of black berry, raspberry and strawberries. I couldn't drink a full cup of the slush, so I had to get 2 of my friends to help me finish it...
My friends ordered a fresh strawberry slush and I know right away that they used all real strawberries. The best appetizer that they got was deep fried chicken skins! It was so good and healthy that I couldn't stop stealing from his bowl and right now, I wish we took some to go on our trip back.
The prices are pretty steep, but you do get a huge portion for what it's worth. $6.50+ for a monster slush and about $8-11 for a huge meal. The environment was pretty loud, which is something that I'm used to and they have some comfy seats. The staff was friendly, but very busy, which explains their now hiring sign. -

I have nothing but praise to write about this restaurant. Their prices are pretty much the standard for all Taiwanese/BBT restaurants alike but their portions are massive for what you're paying for. If you order a slush of any sort, they pile the whole blender full of content into your glass. I often find myself not wanting to eat anymore after one of their drinks due to my stomach reaching full capacity.
Don't forget to their their various shaved ice deserts. They have a great selection of toppings ranging from fresh fruits to peanuts; I recall being able to to choose up to 3 for their default price. One portion of this is enough to serve 2-3 people. -

Came here for lunch with a group of friends. Food was good - no one had any complaints, and the portions were generous. Two people could easily share a set meal! I ordered the chicken nuggets, which were well seasoned and crispy.
The One lost a star for service. When we arrived there were many empty tables. While our presence was initially acknowledged, it took forever for someone to seat us. We stood in entry area for a long time, and during that time it was obvious that the wait staff were avoiding eye contact with us. Then, after we ordered, the food arrived at all different times. I was the unfortunate one who got her food last, almost 15 mins after the first person's dish arrived. It was odd too, since two others at the table ordered similar dishes (chicken nugget fried rice, and fried chicken with rice), yet my food arrived significantly later than theirs.
I probably wouldn't go back on my own accord, but if it was a group decision, I wouldn't object.
Oh, and they take debit and Mastercard, but not Visa. -

Very busy when I went, but they were able to accommodate for our large group of 8. The food and bubble tea portions are large. I got the fresh taro, but to be honest I think I have become accustomed to the powdered taste of taro. I was very disappointed in my choice.
I also tried a sip of the avocado smoothie (at least I think it was a smoothie), it was really good! I know it sounds weird, but you should get it. -

I can say this will be the best place to grab my BB Tea and regular Taiwanese food!! I came here a total of 4 times already, and I love this place so much for their decor, their drinks and their food. Their service is average, but I am surprised most of those that work here has perfect English and at the same time can speak Mandarin. YAY!!
Their drinks are all the rave here. If you want something long, big and delicious you came to the right place ;) LOL. Their drinks are massive size, just like the ones in Taiwan. I love getting their slushies as they are HUGE! They are like towers that erect *teehee* over your table. To be safe, they always give you a cup and a spoon in case you want to move it off. Eat it fast, because it melts FAST.
Their food here is not that bad. It is typical asian BB Tea food. But I can say that their deep fried tentacles, and deep fried chicken are great. It's the typical type of food you would get a Boba place. I had their rice before and I would say it's not the best, but it's the same food you get at any asian place.
The decor here is amazing. It's original, and very trendy. Their service here is fast too, but sometimes you have to wait to get seated, this place always get packed during peak hours.
I for sure recommend this place to go for BB Tea. But not 100% sure about anything else though. So eat at your risk :3Listed in: Dru's Night Life~

Review from Allen C.
My night at "The One" played out like an unpopular slapstick comedy sitcom with props included. A large grand piano in front of the restaurant lobby area, Eye popping decor with bright red arm chairs, rap music videos in the background and over the top desserts (dessert photo included).
The place was a bit cramped for our group already and the oversized chairs and large plate settings did not help the situation. Bringing small kids to this place is not advised.
My one year old flipped an oversized milkshake glass of milk all over me. The manager came out and cleaned up the mess and kept the situation humourous. She was very cool, but next time bring out smaller cups for the baby, ok?
So to the food? Um, that seems to be "the one" thing they forgot.
My order of beef curry on rice was below average. It was bland, the beef was tough and overcooked and the curry had no spicy zest in it. It was 'curry' definitely pulled out from a box. Not very authentic.
My wife had the soy sauce chicken stir hot pot with rice and that was only slightly better than mine. She said that the flavour was over powering with soy sauce. She couldn't taste the other ingredients.
Our desserts came afterwards and it was definitely the largest mango flavoured snow cone I have ever had. Anyone who has ever eaten snow, the shaved ice had this consistency. This treat was the only bright spot of the night.
The dinner portion could really use a complete makeover otherwise, just keep it as a dessert joint only.Listed in: Casual Affair

Looks like they now have a pianist here. She's actually not too bad, except a) she has some issues with tempo control, and b) she kept looping the same @#%*!! 3 songs. And I mean this literally. I heard Jingle Bell Rock at least 3 times.
Today I had the blackberry jackfruit bubble tea. Anything with berries is tasty, and this definitely applies here. I like how they don't make the drinks too sweet here. Didn't get diabetes as a result.Listed in: 2011 Cheap & Tasty, 2011 Ed's Picks

Review from Ellen L.
This place has a lounge feel with its modern decor, stylish waiting area, and smartly dressed servers. But geez louise, they should do something about HOW LOUD THIS PLACE IS! Shrieking babies, loud music, cramped humanoids in a big open area screaming over one another - yeah you get the picture. After exiting the restaurant, Kingsway traffic sounds like chirping chickadees. I've been in my fair share of loud restaurants, but this one takes the cake. Mind you that we came in at 8:30pm, so perhaps that's just the late dinner crowd.
The food was the saving grace though:
I had the Pork and Pickled Cabbage Hotpot ($10ish). This is a Northern China comfort food that I grew up with - think fatty pork slices stewed in rich broth. I've had better pickled cabbage before, but overall it was worthy of being called authentic. It's very sour though, so you're warned.
Bf had the Spicy Chestnut Chicken set meal ($9.75). It also came with a 4 cold appy plate. I had a taste of everything - all delicious with right amount of seasoning and flavour.
Wasn't in the mood for bubble tea or slushie and they're quite expensive ($6+). But they are clearly piled high and resembled a small mountain. Everything is huge portions here. I had to pack a doggie bag home that's like half of my meal. I would return, but hope that I can actually enjoy my food without damaging a ear drum or two. -

Slushy-lover's heaven! Ding, ding ding! We have a winner.
It's been argued the portions are big enough for 2 people, but for the slushy-lover, it's juuuuussttt right. Don't get overwhelmed by the size and offer to share the slushy goodness because once you do, there's no turning back. They're de-freakin-licious. Tastes like they use real fruit.
The non-slushy bubble tea appears comparatively underwhelming. I've only tried their Taro, but that's a pretty standard one and it was a tad too sweet for my liking.
Once you leave slushy euphoria, you'll notice the feuding decor. It's as if they tried to fit all the staples of Asian culture into one confined space. In other words, keep your eye on the slushy.
Oh, they also serve something called food. It's one of those "I'm here for the slushy but should order some food because I'm hungry". It's neither awesome nor terrible.
Moral of the story: insert slushy into mouth. pronto. -

It's difficult for me to give an establishment a proper rating when it's inconsistent. I've been to The One a couple of times. Upon my first visit, I was pleased with the food and service I received - it left me with a good impression.
Today, however, was a disappointment. My buddies and I came around 1pm when it was relatively busy. The waiter noticed us enter, but he made a conscious effort to avoid eye contact with any of us. For a few good minutes, he'd pace back and forth helping patrons but avoiding my group.
As we noticed more people entering the restaurant, we walked up to the counter to let them know we were waiting for seats. Pretty horrendous service, I'd say.
Food was mediocre. The dumplings were bland, chewy and riddled with fingerprints. Their creamed soup was borderline flavourless as was their milk tea. Quite the contrast to my first visit so I must say I was disappointed.
No quality checks. Servers with attitude. I'd only return if I was hungry late at night and in the neighbourhood. -

I was dragged out for lunch today by family to a place I have never tried before. As a foodie and blogger, I am always happy to try new restaurants in the hopes of finding a new favorite to share with my readers. Driving east towards Metrotown in Burnaby, we eventually turned into one of the many L shaped strip malls common in the area.
Although I have never heard of The One before today, I am very glad I tagged along. Not a huge fan of Taiwanese food, this is mostly due to the fact I have no idea what Taiwanese food actually consisted of. Having now had some of the best beef noodles in the city, I can happily attest to the deliciousness that is well prepared Taiwanese food. We ordered two large bowls of noodles as well as two other dishes: vegetarian spring rolls and some sort of beef/omelette wrap dish. Both were fantastic and complimented the soupy entrees very well.
The entire meal after tip was around $32 which is relatively cheap considering our stupid 12% HST. The waitress was also very friendly so we tipped her well. All in all, a good trip out to Burnaby for a strong contender for best beef noodles in Vancouver! -

Cool and chic interior, just a good bubble tea and simple place to go for.
Portion sizes of their food are enormous, and quality is pretty good.
The slush was high up and not even can finish it... LOL. However, the green tea latte was tasteless. -

Been here twice in the past two weeks and i'm definitely a fan. If you want shock value, and not in the bad way, come here. The portions are huge and that's not just the food, the fresh fruit slush is MASSIVE. If you don't drink it fast enough, it'll spill all over your table. The times i've been there, i tried the satay pork fried noodle (excellent) and also the spicy chili fried fish fillet (pretty good). The fish fillet came with four small appy dishes to go along with the rice and fish.
Bottom line:
Reasonable prices
Amazing tasting/looking drinks
Big portions
They take all forms of payment, cash, debit, and credit. -

Massive slushies!! Yes, all sorts of flavours, slushes that are the size of your head!
The place is large, nicely decorated, with fancy lights, wallpaper and a nice bar. Their menu has lots of choices, it took me awhile to read through everything.
Finally settling on beef brisket and tendon noodles, and we shared an appy of deep fried oysters. Of course, I got a Japanese green tea slush.
The slush is really something in itself. It's probably better to share one between two people, since it's also filling. I found that the slush to be a bit too watered down.
Beef noodles came in a large bowl. Probably not the best one I've had, but it was decent. Again, soup was a little bland to my liking. The highlight of the night would be the deep fried oysters. A large bowl of small oysters, with just enough breading, and deep fried. Served with a sweet dipping sauce and fresh minced garlic, I really enjoyed this dish.
Service is not the best, but you can never expect much from these places. Prices are reasonable given the portion size. I'll be back. -

We go to The One about 2-3 times a week on average. The tough thing about The One is that it's almost different everytime. Bubble tea orders are rarely correct; of the last 10 bubble teas we've ordered, at least 6 weren't the right drink. The shaved ice is ok..... super sweet though... The pudding on its own is the best, but you generally have to get the shaved ice to get the mountain of pudding.
Beef noodle review time!! I managed to stomach their niu rou mian for a 3rd time after only 6 months of trying. Great news!!! Each time it was consistent! That sad part is that it was consistently disappointing. It's pretty similar to Lao Shan Dong's beef noodle actually. Noodle's are overcooked and boring (C-); broth is bitter and salty (C); the beef is rich, but bearable (B); and unfortunately, no cabbage was provided, but the bok choy was ok (C).
Overall score is an overly generous C+. Honestly, it's nothing to write home about and could easily be scored lower.
To end on a high note, two dishes they do really well are their Taiwanese Sausage Railway Box and their boneless 3 Spice Chicken (san bei ji). Those two dishes are definitely worth your time and are generally consistent. -

Had tried this place once before a while back and thought it wasn't bad.
Since then, it seems to have become quite the rave amongst a group of my friends, who make the trip all the way out from Richmond to come here!
Since I was in the area already, I decided to give this place another try.
One of my friends and I got the noodles with minced pork sauce (the dry dish, with no soup). The portion was huge - I barely ate a third of it, and was quite full, and my friend who was "quite hungry" ate about half her portion and was full as well. We could have probably shared the one dish between us, and still not been able to finish it. It was actually pretty tasty, definitely good value at $6.25.
Another friend got the rice with meat sauce dish, which was alright. I like this dish much better at Corner 23 because the meat sauce is tastier, and it comes with a marinated egg. At The One the rice dish comes with the meat sauce and pickled veggies, but no marinated egg. When we got the bill I was a bit surprised at the price as well...$6.50 for this simple dish, you can definitely get it for much cheaper at other places.
The fourth person in our group got the Taiwanese beef noodle soup. She said it was alright, but when we asked her how it compared to that at Beefy Beef, she said she couldn't remember what the one at Beefy Beef tasted like. Haha. I have other friends who've tried this dish here, and who've said it was pretty good. So I'll give it the nod of approval - although I still think the beef noodle soup at Lao Shan Dong just down the street is better. At $7.50, it's a safe dish to go with if you're hungry and feel like something with soup to warm you up.
Although we were all quite full from our meals, one of the tables beside us ordered the shaved ice, which looked delicious. And it came in a huge bowl! So we decided to get one dish to share one amongst the 4 of us. This dessert if definitely for sharing! The portion is so large that the 4 of us barely finished it! For toppings we got the pudding with condensed milk ($5.50) and added mango (+$2.00). I've had better pudding at Leisure, and the mango didn't seem fresh (tasted more like slightly frozen canned mango), and we couldn't taste the condensed milk very much. I did like the consistency of the shaved ice though, it was the soft and fluffy type, which I like.
No drinks for any of us tonight, so can't comment on their drink selection/quality at this time.
Overall, the food was ok, and generally well-priced. If I was in the Burnaby area again and close by, I might still pop in to grab a bite here. Would I make a trip from Richmond especially to come to this place? Probably not. There are definitely places in Vancouver and Richmond that have much better food/shaved ice desserts than The One.
This place isn't quite The One for me. -

We came here for lunch on the recommendation from my cousin. This place was pretty empty during lunch, but apparently it's a popular hang out place in the late evening. The decor was very modern, including the remodeled bathroom.
The menu was pretty extensive with a variety of rice plates, hot pot and noodles. I ordered the chicken nuggets which came with rice and a few sides. We also ordered some dumplings and fried oysters to share. Portions were very generous. Not bad. -

Hmm.. I think the bubbletea here is spectacular! Or atleast the ones that I've ordered: Honey Green Milk Tea, Earl Grey, Grass Jelly (Where they actually grind up the grass jelly into the milk tea), Wintermelon Black Tea.. and many more. Sweet, not not too sweet. and Pearls are great!
Food I would give a 3 star. A-OK. Not best Taiwanese Cafe Food I've tried..The dishes are a hit and miss. But the portions are very very very generous. Make sure you come here with a buddy or two, and share your selections. Feeling for something super unhealthy? Try to fried chicken skin. Yes.. just the skin :P
Place is really nice! Plays excellent music! Makes you feel like you're in a bubble tea lounge! Its cute :)
Again.. 4 star is for the Drinks. 3 star for the food!~ But they both go well together. -

Chinese restaurant with automatic sliding doors and a grand piano at the entrance? I could have sworn I walked into a Chinese hotel.
Service started off with robot precision within a second of walking in. Server immediately walked us to a table before me opening my mouth.
It never ceases to amazes me how many items Chinese places have on their menu. I kept it simple and went for their chicken nuggets and a pot of hot caramel macchiato black milk tea.
Chicken Nuggets were juicy and well seasoned. Ronald McChan would be proud.
The tea had interesting flavour notes I've never come across before. Served in a relatively large funky curved platter with funky tea cups, it was pours of happiness.
Thanks Janice F for the recommendation!Listed in: Chinese Chowdown

Not The One for me...
I really hoped that I would love this place because it's so close to my house and the prices are pretty good. Unfortunately, the food is quite average and I didn't even feel like taking home leftovers. My husband and I decided to order 2 set dinners. I think the main issue with our food was that the flavours were too strong. One dish had too much liquorice or something that tasted like it. The other dish had too much soy sauce/salt. I had to get the waitress to refill my water 3 times because my food was so salty.
On the plus side, the restaurant looked very clean and I can see that they put a lot of effort in the decor.Listed in: No thank you, ma'am!!!

Deco is great. Service is acceptable. Food is soso.
3.5 stars.
Compare to other meal / bubble tea place, this place has bit better decoration. I can also tell that the owner is trying hard to provide better customer service. However, its often to see food being sent to wrong table and order take a long time to prepare.
About their food, it's really nothing special. They got fancy plates and super size bowls. But the food they served is not something you would wanna order again and again. It's not bad. But it's just nothing special.
I like this place. I just wish they can make their food more delicious. -
Review from Annie W.
I live just a few blocks from here so it's an easy place to grab a late night snack or meal.
The One is one of the nicer bubble tea joints in the Burnaby area, comparable to Bubble World further down Kingsway. I find the modern red and black themed decor a bit cheesy...but at least it's clean and the food is decent and consistent. Some of the dishes are a little on the salty side for me, and the hot pots are better at Pearl Castle, but the three spiced chicken and red braised beef brisket is quite good. For hungry boys, the fried rice portions are ridiculous!
I do find the bubble tea there is always too sweet, but that's fixed in a pinch by asking for less sugar. Prices are comparable to the other places, with meals being good value and drinks overpriced. Overall, it's not too bad and I'm sure I'll be back as it's so close to me. -

Four stars for the trendy decor as its not the usual plain noodle house look. The night I went, they even had a grand piano in the waiting area! I'm not sure if someone actually plays it as I can't piano playing in a Taiwanese noodle house seems out of place but it was there ;-)
The food portions were good. A bit pricier but not outrageous. I've been here twice and both times I found the food a little bit on the salty side so if you're not a salt lover I'd ask them to cut back on it when you order the food.
As for the drinks, the selections are good. They even have a good choice of teas. As others have mentioned, the drink prices are somewhat higher then other restaurants.
A popular place for the younger crowd, be prepared to wait if you go during busy times or make a reservation before you head there. -
Review from Alice A.
We went here sometime back and I'd been meaning to write a review.
To be honest, I was a little skeptical about a place named 'The One'. When we got there, I did a double take on the decor thinking it's kind of too modern and new to be good. However, the place was packed on a Friday night and most of the patrons were Asians, so it was looking rather promising.
The six of us ordered a variety of mains and fried chicken nuggets and Taiwanese sausages for starters. I really enjoyed the chicken - hot, crispy and bursting with flavour. The sausages were good too but I prefer the chicken.
For my main dish, I got minced meat noodles with sesame paste. Very authentic and the serving was ginormous. I wish I could have finished it but there was just too much goodness. Everyone else seemed pleased with their food and we all left too stuffed for desserts. If only my stomach had space of a tall glass of milk tea with pearls... or soy bean milk with jelly.... or... mmmm.
Verdict? Oh yeah, I could be back for more. Especially since there's a K-bar next door! -

This place has the best bubble tea!!! I love the mango black tea with no pearls and also the mango slush. The mango slush is so big that my husband and I usually split one! The service here isn't always fabulous especially when we dine in, they tend to ignore us... But I am not super demanding so it doesn't ruin the experience for us.

* Really solid Taiwanese *
Thanks to Janice F's recommendation I have been meaning to check this spot out. Glad I finally did.
The Taiwanese chicken nuggets were presented nicely with some fried basil - nice touch. The chicken itself was very moist and not overly greasy or salty. Very good job on this dish.
It came with a nice set of side dishes too including eggplant with a spicy sauce (delicious), daikon with a chili sauce (the daikon was cooked to the point of pleasant sweetness which combined nicely with the spiciness of the sauce), bak choy with oyster sauce (cooked perfectly), scrambled egg with tomato (not overcooked as it frequently could be).
I also got to try the veggie bean thread noodles, which were really gentle and soothing. It had a very nice selection of veggies including miniature bak choy.
I'll definitely be returning next time I'm looking for Taiwanese food out in the Burnaby burbs - thank you Janice! -
Review from Janice F.
Trendier Taiwanese beef noodle restaurant. Opened up by Lao Shan Dong, which does very respectable Taiwanese beef noodle, this location is called "The One" - (which incidentally, I think I've seen a second location already which would make this the "Other One" - I'm lame, I know)
Modern black and red decor, popular with the kids - it's located in a strip mall with the Blockbuster on Kingsway.
Only tried two items, both of which were solidly executed. The crispy deep fried chicken nuggets come with a nice sprig of deep-fried basil, thumbs up to that. It's not as salty or peppery as some other versions, but you get a generous portion for $6
The beef flank and tendon noodle - the standard of all Taiwanese restaurants, is a larger than normal portion $8.50 - the tendon was nice, but the brisket wasn't as tender as I liked. Good soup base, option to make it spicier. Overall, yay - its nice to have above mediocre restaurants pop up in the suburbs. -

I'm not really a fan but it's definitely higher than "A-OK", so I'll give you 4 stars~
Thought their food and drinks were a bit pricey but when my Chicken Nuggets with Rice arrived, it shuts me up. FINE! at least I know where my $8.50 went. The food tasted not bad but its portion was the reason I gave it extra star.
I still think the drinks were pricey tho. $4 for that amount of milk tea.. I'll pass. (+ 50cents for pearls etc.)
p.s. If your order is over $10, you will get a $10 gift certificate for karaoke next door (http://www.metromaxktv...) -

I like The One. It is one of the most expensive BBT Taiwanese restaurants around, but I like it. Here is why,
The menu is extensive and full of variety, the food is flavorful and good portion, the background music is entertaining, the drinks are average and not disappointing (except the slush which is HUGE and not your average drink at all), the servers are attentive as they are allowed to be (you can't blame them for not seeing your waving arms during busy times). The middle aged lady who is always there, who I assume is the owner/manager, always provides efficient service with a professional attitude. She once told us that even though the restaurant technically closes at 1am but if she sees your car pulling up to the parking lot at 1am, she will wait for you. Wow, I am impressed, and truth, I always see people working after closing time and they still receive customers since the doors are not locked right on time. Not here to encourage any of you to go after opening hours, but that is one hardworking fellow. No wonder they are busy all the time.
I love their salty chicken nuggets, very flavorful and stands out from all the other BBT places. Tried their seafood hotpot and it's sufficient enough to share among 2 - 3 people. Their entrees and appetizers are tasty and filling. I never tried their famous slush as it looks intimidating and I don't like to share drinks.
Overall, it is a cool place for late night eats and casual hang out with friends. I see couples dating there, guess the dimmed ambiance is kinda romantic too? The only turn off for me would be the slightly higher prices of the food, but they don't cheap out on the portion, so for me it's worth it. -

This restaurant is located right in the plaza where there is a Blockbuster Video right on Kingsway, past Metrotown. Opened by one of my favorite restaurants (Lao Shan Dong), I had to give this place a try. I did not hear about this place, and somehow my friend knew about it, and took us there.
First impressions, very different from their other restaurant, as when you walk in, the decor is chic, new age, and very sharp in color. The other restaurant felt like a canteen compared to this one. Even the menu is a nice hard covered book compared to the laminated sheet at the other place. They also had a wider assortment of food and combos here, compared to the limited menu of just beef noodle, and small side dishes.
I had my usual, beef noodle, spicy soup, but this time bean thread noodles, as I didn't want it that heavy. The taste was great, just not as good as Lao Shan Dong, maybe it is because at that place, that's all they serve, and they have been doing it longer where all the pots already have the flavour marinated in them. One of my friends had the combo rice with curry chicken, and the other the hot pot, and they were both pretty good. I have to give props to this place for presentation, as they definately know how to make things really look good, as the combo presentation was a long semi circle plate, with 4 sides, the rice, and the curry.
My other friend ordered the hot pot, which they brought over, and lit the bottom to keep it nice and hot. Mine was less extravegant, but for me it's all about the taste, and not the show. I enjoyed the dinner here, and I will come back most definately. The other plus here is the parking, as you can either park in the plaza, or on the side street, as there is no problem finding it. -

We have been to this restaurant over 10 times now and I like the food every time. The service...who cares? As long as I don't find a cockroach in my drink or not forget my order completely, I'm fine.
The food was pretty good. The soup base for the noodles was a bit weak, but the eggplant was cook to utter perfection.
Overall, my experience with this place was enjoyable. -

Pricing looked high until the food came. Huge portions justified their higher prices. The food tasted on par with other Taiwanese bubble tea places in the area which, in my opinion, is at least as good as (if not better than) the Taiwanese food in Southern California (commonly regarded as having the best Taiwanese food in North America).

Great place for lunch and dinner. Prices are reasonable and portions are big.
Just the drinks are a little bit steep. But they way they presented the drinks are awesome, makes it look worthwhile (tall glasses).
Took my friends there and they loved it. We ordered seafood hotpot and was deeply disappointed, not much seafood for that price. Just tons of fish cakes, little bit of mussels and some baby shrimps.
All in all, I like coming here because they are the only cafe that takes CARDS~! How nice is that! Not "cash only"!
2 thumbs up!
