We have been to many OSF here in the Greater Vancouver area, Whistler, and abroad.
This has got to be the best one outta all of them. They make the best Chicken Parmesan bar none! Like you would expect salad, spumoni, and after meal coffee are included with the meal! What a deal! My I suggest a pitcher of Sangria to liven up the party before the movie at Silver City?
I don't know why anyone would suggest another OSF other than this one!!! Staff is all ways friendly and courteous.

OSF Richmond met with my family's approval and was certainly considered a better experience than the one we had at their Gastown location. Of course, it may just be that our expectations were lower. However, the kids loved the free bread, and enjoyed their chicken dippers and lasagne. I still found the pasta to be of the kind of quality you'd expect from a good pub-style meal, but still not what I'd expect of an establishment whose identity is based on it.

By far the best Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. Between this and a meatball marinara sandwich at Subway, I'd take the Old Spaghetti Factory any day.

It's pretty good value and conveniently located between Watermania and that big parking lot full of new Toyota cars just unloaded from the boats.

Looks like the value here has gone down a couple of notches over the last few years.  Not to say the food is bad, but it's no longer a good deal.

Parking is available in a smaller lot by this restaurant, or in the large main lot on the other side of SilverCity.

For the last decade or so, they had a $20 (before tax and tip) Dinner + Movie combo.  You got any type of meal, and one of those blue movie vouches for that price.  The meal included soup/salad, the entree, and ice cream.  Today I was in for a nasty surprise, as my meal came to $23.  Looks like my clam chowder cost a $2.50 premium, but the waitress never told me that.  If I had known, I would've just picked the minestrone.

Factor in tax (gooooo HST) and tip, and I was looking at $30 for my portion of what can be described as a mediocre meal.  Yikes!  I can get a much cheaper meal at Ironwood Plaza.  Won't be back for a while.

The food here is... okay. It's really meant to be a family restaurant which makes sense, especially for the location. It's quite noisy so if you want an intimate dinner with a loved one, go somewhere else. But if you want to have a family dinner where no one will look at you funny if your child is playing with their food, then absolutely come here.

I had the original lasagna and it was delicious. My friend said her spaghetti was delicious but was a very small portion. To me, the prices are a little high for what you get. At some other restaurants, for the price we paid, we would have had enough food for another meal.

They have friendly service, they turn tables over quickly to make sure you get seated as soon as possible and no one comes up to you when you've just put food in your mouth to talk to you.

I'm interested in trying their Cinplex Meal deal. I'm not completely sure what it is but from where I was standing, it looked like a good deal.

mmm pasta with soup, and dessert included??!!?! yes please

I wouldn't call this place an "Authentic" Italian restaurant., more like an ordinary family restaurant chain little flavor. shoot i would rather go to Olive Garden if i wanted to eat spaghetti at least they got bold flavors i their sauce. (real talk)

i ordered the Spaghetti and meat balls, with Minestrone soup and ice cream. My entree was just alright. really i could make a better sauce at home if i wanted to.

the flavor just wasn't there and the meet balls were a little dry. :(  i tried to make it better with salt, pepper and a lot of Parmesan cheese.

Why 3 stars you ask?- The service was good and their were free refills :)

Would you come back?- yes because its family friendly, affordable and its close to my place lol ;)

Went for weekday lunch specials. Most under $10.

I had the lunch size Lasagna (portion good, maybe 1/2 size of regular) with Thousand island dressing on my salad (they make their salad dressings, good) and green tea with honey. I thought it's a good deal and food is a-ok. OK it's not really authentic Italian and noodles were not al dente, but it's Old Spaghetti Factory. Brings back childhold memories. And it's better than getting expensive junk food @ Silvercity.

Just got back from a family dinner at OSF. I had no complaints, but my Grandmother thought the portions were too large and didn't care for the meat in the meatballs. Never heard of anyone having a problem with there being too MUCH food, but ok then...

Our waiter was polite and the food came to us quickly. The prices are good and you get a lot for what you pay for. I like coming here in large groups, it's usually quick and easy and there's something for everyone.

The only reason I don't rate it higher is because the food isn't anything exceptional. It's a chain, and when it comes to pasta I always think about how I could have just made it myself at home. Meh!

The one in Gastown is much better and feels less like a chain.

Again we came here for the Mizithra cheese spaghetti.  Portions seem to get smaller each time we visit.  Is it me?  The service was quick and the food came out efficiently.  Yasuyo had a combo managers special.  Nothing new and I guess that's a good thing.

What I did notice was, it took our entire stay there for someone to clean the table next to us.  Why did it take so long?  Staff kept walking by, manager just looked at the dirty tables but did nothing.  When we finished, someone started cleaning it up.  Maybe cause I kept taking pictures of the dirty table. :)  Again, nothing new.  Still a great place to have birthday dinner/lunches for the pre-teen kids and a quick lunch during work hours.  The three star rating is what it gets.  It's a good thing really.  It's consistent, you know what you're going to get and there's no surprises really.

Mizithra cheese pasta with brown butter sauce.  It's the only thing I go here for.

Ah old spaghetti factory. So many memories. I remember when we used to go to the one in Gastown. They used to have a steam organ there and they'd have an organ player there taking requests for songs to play. We'd always bug him to play the Lone Ranger. Think he got sick of us because we would only ask for that song...usually 5 or 6 times each time we go there.  "Hi Hoe Silver...Awaaaaaaayyyyyyy!"

But oh wait. I'm talking bout the ol spaghetti factory in Richmond. They don't have an organ.  And they don't make pasta al dente. But hey, it's the old spaghetti factory. Pretty decent for the price.  I had the spaghetti with spicy sauce and meatballs. Nice zing to the sauce  and the meatballs were tender. My brother had his favourite, pasta with mizithra cheese.

Not a bad place to eat when waiting around for a blockbuster movie to start.  So come on down and get your pasta non- al dente fix.

As expected, Old Spaghetti Factory is definitely a family-centered restaurant. Anticipate rowdy kids and a crowd, especially during spring break! But I can't complain, because the service is great with their friendly demeanor, refills, and clearing the table. At the end of dinner, I was full of good tasting lasagna ($12.50) and the included salad, tea, and ice cream capped it off wonderfully.

Go to the one in Gastown.

I did not have a very good experience with this location.

I ordered some sort of tortellini thing, and was expecting a great meal.......fat chance.

    The order took forever,
The waitress looked slow, walked slow, and acted completely stoned.

Upon arrival, the food was cold, and set the date off to a bad start.

The free spumoni ice cream was the only thing we had in this place that was WARM....too bad ice cream melts when it gets warm...UGH!!!!

Horrible, horrible. Maybe if I was as stoned as the waitress was, my half frozen meal, and warm ice cream would have tasted better :(

They give you free ice cream on your birthday. Wait they give you free ice cream every day. The difference is there's a sparkler on it.

Like every other OSF, it's decorated with historic photos and memorabilia from the area.

This place is only good for stuffing your face prior to going to a movie.

    not much to say...
the only thing that does it for me is the the full meal deal (entree, soup or salad, coffee or tea, and ice cream), the fact that i love pasta, and it's situated right outside the movie theatre.
    oh, wait. that's three things....

You get what you expect: soup/salad and garlicky pasta. What more is there to say?
