This place is a neat concept of asian fusion food. Very creative menu that caters to most diets and can be modified too.
A bit over priced for what you get but I keep coming back for more! -

The Noodle Box most certainly has above-average Thai take-out. But what it has in flavour, it makes up for in lack of service or seating.
Although I realize this is basically a take-out place, over time, the customers have begun using it as more of a hang out. And I think it's time that the owners catered the restaurant to what the customers actually want (isn't that the aim of a successful business model anyways?). Since they tend to take longer than most take-out places (between 15-20 minutes), it only makes sense that by the time the food is ready, most of the customers are fairly hungry and want to eat in.
I think my favourite aspect of the Noodle Box is their collection of beers. Although not large, it is still a wider collection than carried by most Asian restuarants. And I love me a good beer with that Asian spiciness.Listed in: High Times

The Noodle Box has now achieved an honoured spot on my "Will never eat here again" list. Their food is totally crappy now, and having to pay more for "half sauce" and then end the meal with food poisoning is not something I tend to want to pay for.
How this chain has gone down hill over the past five years. It seems like restaurants in Victoria start out great and then they get popular, expand, hire inexperienced staff, and go downhill. Such is the case with the Noodle Box. You know when a restaurant opens a location in Langford (I'm looking at you My Little Thai Place) that their food is just not worth your money any more. Save your money and go to Baan Thai instead.
Avoid avoid avoid...well unless you like a nice box of greasy noodles served with a bout of salmonella. -

Think Asian Fusion - heavy on the Fusion.
I know people that love this place and others that loathe it. I am more luke warm about it.
The spicy peanut noodle box with prawns is tasty. Not fantastic or note worthy - but tasty. The noodles seem to not always be cooked the same.
This place doesnt have many seats and they typically are full. Its like a take out place that has a couple of seats. The hot tea was not good. This is truly one of the marks of a fusion place that is not Asian enough - and they are very close to the China Townesque area of Victoria so its a tough sell to have crappy hot Tea.
All that being said - if it was lunch time and I walked by on the way to somewhere else - I would probably stop for a box. So, there it is - not recommended by edible. As dave M said - not great bang for your buck. -

Usually when you see a Chinese take out box, you think of your delicious meal that now has fried rice and kung pao chicken with a few vegetables and a half eaten egg roll. It was so good but it was too much and so you piled it in a little box. It sits in your fridge and you try to eat and think it is going to be as good as the first time but the the little box is a lie. It isn't as good, it is just ok. You are sad and wish you had a bigger stomach where you could put more food in and then the little box wouldn't have existed.
Enter The Noodle Box. The Noodle Box is a pan-asian noodle stir fried that serves all of its meals in the little Chinese to go box. I had an indonesian pan noodles with chicken and a peanut sauce that was unreal. You can enjoy your meal at the Noodle Box or if you are only in Victoria for 6 hours and need to cram in as much as possible you can take your box and walk the streets of Victoria eating your food.
The Noodle Box gets 5 stars. There is a great variety and the meals can either be eaten there or taken out. The best part is this little box will not lie to you. It will be as good the second time as it is the first time! -

All of my friends love the Noodle Box. Personally, I don't know what they're raving about. The interior is very cute, but it's quite small-- you shouldn't expect to get any seats unless you show up early. Since it's very popular, expect to wait a while to order and for your order. The staff is friendly, and the classic "chinese takout" packaging is great.
However, the most important feature of a restaurant-- especially a restaurant that is more-or-less takeout-- is the food, and the Noodle Box leaves me unimpressed here at every visit. Most of the food I've ordered here have been quite flavourless, which may be a reflection of how much of a pansy I am with spiciness: I always want things mild. The spiciness system is very precise, allowing you to get the food exactly as hot as you like it. Unfortunately, mild apparently means bland in many cases. I personally wouldn't recommend it, but many of my friends do. -

It's not that the noodle box isn't delicious (it is), but that they always mess up at least one order in my party. And this isn't unique to one location or the other - it's systemic.
They always fix it, but by the time this happens, my lunch break is over and I can't enjoy my food.
I'd also prefer smaller portions, more room to sit, and lower prices. I don't always have someone to share lunch with, but would enjoy something with southeast asian fusion flavors.
And my wife thinks they use too much cilantro (she isn't a fan). -

A group of 10 of us touring Victoria dropped in for lunch. They handled the "crush" easily. The food was great. My wife and I split the Spicy Peanut bowl - plenty of food for two.

I've heard good things about Noodle Box in Vancouver and since I was starving after a meal of cholesterol-in-a-box on the Ferry, I decided to succumb to familiarity and the fact that they had a liquor license.
Cafeteria style "South-east Asian" noodles and rice that is packaged in the stereotyped Chinese take-away box (which by the way, real Asian places never use) is cute and surely makes the food taste more authentic because ... it simply isn't.
Forgive me for the cynicism but as an Asian, noodles stir fried with a multitude of random vegetables, drowning in packaged sauce is not exactly my idea of authentic.
Nonetheless, Noodle Box achieves its goal of providing a Western take on popular Asian items. This location has also mimicked the crappy service you would find at any Asian take out (except the fact that they're thirty billion times slower and twice the price).
It's my own damn fault: helloooo Claudia?! The people that recommended to you were not friggin' Asian. Case in point: always check the context.
Vicky, you need some good food to go with your pretty city. Please notify me when you do. -

Sure it's not consistent. Sure it's not authentic. Wahh wahh!
It's great for quick takeout and great value compared to doing all the slicing and dicing at home. The Thai Syle chow mein is the most consistent thing on menu and is always very good. I have had hit or miss luck on specials. I like the spring rolls quite a bit too.
I always come back at least monthly - it's quick easy and good value. -
Review from Garret N.
This place is a fun little joint, very inviting decor and the staff was extremely pleasant and casual. At first I was very intrigued by the food but after trying some of the other dishes my enthusiasm mellowed. The Spicy Plum Noodle Box was excellent but their Shanghai Special had some odd flavor that didn't quite mesh.
This place is certainly worth a try. You won't come away unhappy, just maybe a little perplexed. -

I much rather prefer the Douglas Street location even though I started going to the Fisgard Noodle Box first.
The last time I decided to go her the woman at the counter seemed like she would like to be somewhere else and rolled her eyes at me when I corrected my name (I said Rad twice and she heard Randy). She also got my order wrong by giving me noodles instead of rice. The food also took a long time to arrive for me and three of my friends even though there were only 4 other people in the place.
I will definitely not be going back to that location again. -

Decent food for waaay too much money. If you are happy with the price then you will enjoy the food but there are much better places around Chinatown that offer way better value for the dollar.

Always tasty, but a bit pricey, and they're not always consistent with their spice levels - one time my medium was definitely hot. Their menu has good variety. Extra kudos for offering OceanWise seafood. Portions are quite substantial. Overall, definitely recommended.

One can never know what to expect at the Noodle Box. I'm a long time customer and the Noodle Box has had it's inconsistent moments,, but if you're looking for something out of the ordinary and you love all things spicy this is the place. No two Cambodian Jungle Curries are the same and perhaps that's why I never tire of the Thursday lunch order. Okay I'll admit, I've been known to order the Spicy Peanut. Again if you love spice, never expect the same and don't mind not always getting a table. The Noodle Box is a local fav that'll tease the senses.

As with all my reviews, I subscribe to the bang for the buck philosophy. This place has nice decor and a simple and well designed menu. The food, however, left much to be desired. My wife and I ordered the spicy peanut noodle box. My noodles tasted undercooked and the peanut sauce was bland and watery. The chicken and prawns, however, were tasty. Combine this all with a $12 price, and I'm at two stars. Yelp's description of two stars "Meh...I've experienced better" nails it.
