You can only get into The National Club if you are a member or if you are invited. I have had the opportunity to check out this location in two occasions (that rhymes...locations, occasions, keeping it...real...). Anyway, the place offers exceptional service and great food in a very classy, upscale atmosphere. Great place for a company event or private function.

You can only get into this club if you are a member or know someone who is a member. In any case, I was invited for a retirement dinner of a friend. The venue is very well maintained & in the heart of the financial district. I'm a vegetarian so I had the "Root Wellington" (get it, instead of Beef Wellington?) which was done very well. The appetizer was an apple-squash soup which was also delicious. I didn't eat much of dessert because I was stuffed, but it was a berry crumble pie with a small side scoop of raspberry sorbet & fresh fruit on the side as garnish. Service from the wait staff was very professional & pleasant. I can only mildly complain about the bartender who was a tall, unsmiling & grave looking lady. She looked at me like I was a strange creature, I can assume because I didn't drink any alcohol like all the other dinner guests! The best was that the club is connected to the underground path so when on my way home I didn't need to venture outside if I didn't want to.
