First of all, let me say that this location is cursed. I lived in this neighbourhood for most of my life and I've seen places come and go from this exact spot time and tie and again.
So far, the Movie Studio is doing well. And I'm so glad! I love the Movie Studio and they are my number one pick for movie rental places.
The best part about the Movie Studio is they give you free popcorn to eat while you walk around the store!
They have cheap movies for sale. The staff is awesome. Everything is awesome about the Movie Studio.

I've done blockbuster. I've done Rogers.
Nothing beats The Movie Studio.
I first started going to the movie studio off whyte ave when I lived in that neighborhood with my mom. We always enjoyed going there and we made friends with one of the clerks. I guess one of the perks of making friends with the people who work here is that you don't have to pay late fees.
Really... once we rented movies the night before we left on a two-week trip to BC (I know.. kind of stupid) and of course, we forgot to return them. Coming home, we expected a huge late fee, but we explained the situation and all we were asked to pay was $1.
Sweet!
I now go to the southside location because it is closer to my house. I do live across the street from a blockbuster, and down the street from a rogers, but I drive 15 blocks to go to The Movie Studio.
Selection isn't that much better, in fact, their game selection kind of sucks, but the service is awesome. Candy, pop, and popcorn is available. They also have punch cards that give you free rentals, free dvds and free "get out of a late fee" coupons.
Go in, browse, rent, and get some free popcorn when you leave. That's right... free popcorn.
Yum!
