With a view like they have, why sit inside?! Even if it's raining, they use patio umbrellas. Food isn't fantastic, the service is average for a pub, but at least the beer is cold...
In the summer, take a bike ride around the park and stop here to chug down a pint of refreshing cool lager. -

On a gloriously sunny day in June, my mom decided to drop by for a visit and Vancouver gave us one of the best days this year. We had sunshine and that perfect west coast ocean breeze to accompany our explorations through downtown. Our wanderings led us to The Mill Marine Bistro. An open and gorgeous patio overlooking the float planes in the Vancouver Harbor.
Like every good adventure, beer is often involved. The newest creation from the Granville Island Brewing Company is their crisp Raspberry Ale. Made with 100% Fraser Valley raspberries it is the perfect accompaniment to any summer patio eats.It has become my new summer favorite.
Our patio food of choice was the Pulled Pork Nachos; and baby, these are a winner! As if my pulled pork addiction wasn't fueled enough by the presence of ReUp BBQ right across the street from my apartment on weekends. You may never try those greasy pub nachos overflowing with fried ground beef again. Towering over crisp tortillas is moist succulent BBQ pulled pork, green onions, black olives, jalapenos, and by far the freshest salsa and guacamole I have ever had. The fact that these two items are made in house makes a world of difference. Further proof that fresh makes all the difference. -

It was almost sunny out on Sunday so me and a few friends decided to take our legs for a walk through Stanley Park. We walked all the way past the beaches and through the Lagoon to Coal harbour where we started to get thirsty. This place had a pretty big patio and some heat lamps for my permanently cold blooded body so we decided to check it out.
Now, keep in mind, Coal Harbour is where all the elite rich Vancouverites park their luxury boats when they aren't sailing the world, so we kind of expected this place to be a little bit pricey - and to be honest the prices were pretty fair considering. They had a list of 6 different cesars you could order, so that got me pretty excited. I decided to try the Julius Cesar which came with fresh basil and bocconcini. Unfortunately, the basil and bocconcini were the only good parts to the cesar. I found it to be watery and bland - which is the opposite of what a good cesar should be, and it tasted like they put a splash of beer in it (which I have heard some restaurants do, but for people who don't drink beer it's kind of a turn off). We also ordered the olive plate and some edamame, which was good, its pretty hard to screw up those things though....
When it was time to leave I went to use the bathroom and discovered that the public bathrooms next to the restaurant were for customers to use. Basically, they had no private bathrooms for customers ONLY inside the restaurant. Rad. Let's get one thing straight, if I am paying $10 for a 2oz. cesar that tastes like watery clamato juice, you better fucking have clean toilets for me to puke in. Not only was the bathroom totally filthy, there was a big unflushed log floating in the one stall that didn't have toilet paper all over the floor of it. If you are going to make your customers use the public bathroom you better keep that thing clean because you are now being judged on the cleanliness of it since you are affiliating yourself with it. And is this the bathroom that the staff have to use to? The cooks? What the hell?! Nasty! On a side-note - this restaurant also has a kid's water park in front of it, so I imagine when the weather actually does get nice and you want to sit by the water and enjoy the sunshine, what you will really be enjoying is the sound of small parasites screaming at the top of their lungs. There are only two things in life that should be shaken: martinis and babies. Too dark? Aaaah well.... let the hate flow through you. I probably won't be back. -

Food is terrible. Service is terrible. Prices are a little over the top (especially for what you get). The view is great, but you can get the same view from Mahoney's, Carderos or a picnic blanket on the great green lawn directly adjacent to the restaurant.
My girlfriend and I ordered the $40 seafood platter, and it wasn't very well thought out. It was just bits and pieces from other things on their menu, slapped onto a plate and not designed for sharing. A single piece of overcooked salmon, a single tuna steak, pre-frozen burnt tasting mussels in a watery red broth (how do you burn steamed mussels?), a few well cooked prawns, and lox salmon (called smoked salmon on the menu)... but with no bread to put it on? We asked before we ordered if it was just a big plate of seafood or if there were veggies/bread served with it, and decided to order it to based on the fact it did. When it arrived in a big hot mess, with no bread and a few pieces of lettuce and julienne cucumber the waitress tried to make us place an order for bread. Sigh.
Also, $9 for a glass of wine that only costs $14/bottle a the shop. Me thinks not. You want to overcharge for wine, then serve expensive wine.
I just moved to the neighborhood, and thought that this might be my new patio spot, since I can see if from my flat, but I will be heading down the seawall to Mahoney's. -
Review from Derek B.
Didn't get the full patio experience because my dining partner wanted to sit inside, therefore robbing me of arguably the only reason to eat at this place. Granted, I was pleasantly surprised by the $18 Dine Out menu as a lot of similarly priced restaurants were running menus in the $28 range.
I started with a half order of the mussels, which were goddamn awesome. Cooked in a broth of Whistler Lager and Sambal that was so delicious I actually drank the leftovers out of the bowl because I am a disgusting, uncouth man. My companion got the Spring Salad (greens, candied pecans, cranberries, poppyseed dressing) because she is not so bright, and was extremely jealous of my seafoody goodness, which I refused to share. Note to you: next time don't make the mistake of ordering a salad.
I probably should have stopped with the mussels, because the mushroom ravioli (and cedar-plank salmon) were...meh. Not horrible, but nothing special. But with an appetizer, entree, dessert and a few sleeves of delicious Winter Ale all totaling less than $60, I'm certainly not going to complain.
I'll be back to this place when the sun makes its annual two-week appearance in July for some sweet patio action, but probably won't go out of my way before then. -
Review from Sarah O.
After eating their pizza, I had leftovers and asked for a to-go box. My waitress brought out a small circular soup container. I had to jam all my pieces in a mush. What the heck?
It's quite clear this place doesn't get much foot traffic beyond the sunny summer days when their large patio makes its debut. The food is very typical pub food, and they had way too many TVs. I couldn't concentrate on my company or my food! I am a little confused on whether this a bistro or a pub. But they kept the restaurant at a comfortable temperature on a cold night, and I enjoyed their bread. It was really soft and chewy!
And they really scored with the view! -

This place was a gigantic disappointment. The interior is cool-looking, and I'm sure the view would be great if they didn't have plastic sheeting hanging outside protecting the patio. It's been -3 degrees, who the hell is going to sit out there?
The service was fine, the drinks overpriced ($8 for a strongbow? really?), and the food was actually pretty bad considering that our chicken burgers were $16. Mine wasn't even a full piece of chicken, it was 2 tiny thin medallions. The salad it came with (there was no option for fries) had a really bad bitter-tasting dressing, neither of us could finish it. It was also just lettuce and carrot, no embellishments of a little cheese or some nuts. The burger was actually so tiny that we ended up having 2nd dinner at home.
I understand the comments of paying for the view, but could they at least try with the food? Plus it seems pretty ridiculous to ruin the view with plastic sheeting when no one is even using the patio. There are many other pubs with similar views in coal harbor or the west end, and they have much, much, much better food. -

The Mill is my muse.
Used to come here all the time for pre-work drinks - yes, *PRE-* since my co-workers and I worked late nearby. Ahh - the joys of being damned good at your job and having an office that was akin to the wild west.
Everyone comes here for the patio - tons of seats and it has a great view of the harbour. Seriously, the food is alright and there's a price premium on everything due to the patio. And choice of drinks is somewhat limited. But probably one of the best patios in Vancouver.
Nothing has changed on my recent visit - service was fast and prices have remained pretty much the same. Temptation to get loaded up and stroll into the office and still churn out better work than anyone while tipsy... like a BOSS - it was strong.Listed in: A Compendium of Fine…

So you're a big bad JUNGLE cat, you've been blessed with every advantage imaginable; big paws, big heart and big teeth. So even if you're not the best hunter, you're still going to be a pretty good predator.
That's how I see The Mill - it's nestled in the heart of Coal Harbour, looking over the ocean with the mountains as the backdrop. To top it off, you get to watch seaplanes take off from your patio chair. So even if they don't serve the best food, they're still going to do pretty good....
It's bar food, but they've made an effort to wander off the beaten path. There are 3 kinds of sliders, including an Angus beef hotdog. I noticed the drink menu had 7 kinds of Ceasers from a tequila John Wayne to what seems like breakfast on the rocks, the Bacon and Egger.
Other than that, the food is pretty run of the Mill (pardon the pun) but like I mentioned before, you're sitting in one of the most beautiful places in the city and it's worth coming back. -

The view alone would make me want to come back here.
Add to that decent food - they have a variety on the menu from pub food (eg. sliders) to salads, to pizzas, to pastas - and you're set for a pleasant evening enjoying the nice weather, the view, and the company.
I had the seafood penne, which was good. Pasta was cooked well, and the seafood was fresh and plenty. My friend had the chicken linguine which she also enjoyed. Another friend had the mussles, and another the halibut burger. No complaints about the food from our group!
Service was alright. Considering how busy they were, they did come by often enough to make sure we were still doing ok.
Price was alright, a little on the higher side, but definitely worth it for the view.
Go here to take advantage of the nice summer weather we're finally having!
Oh, if you go a little west down Cordova, past Urban Fare, there's plenty of street parking, so check there for space first, otherwise there's metered parking around as well. -
Review from Scott H.
In the Vancouver sun (which is rare), this place may have the nicest spot in the city. Nestled (yes nestled, it actually is nestled into the wall) in Coal Harbour with a kids waterpark set it front of it, which is perfect to have drinks and let your kids run. Honestly there isn't a nicer place for afternoon drinks in Vancouver. Tonnes of patio seating and amazing views.
They've got a good taplist and good food. The odd thing is they don't have a fryer, so no deep fried goodness (fries, chicken fingers etc.), which I haven't decided is a good or a bad thing. Likely good, but still, booze and grease go hand in hand. It also doesn't have a breakfast menu, which is a little sad as well. Anyway, I had the pulled pork sandwich and the pal had a salmon burger with beers. Both were solid (though not as good as Crave's pulled pork) and the beer was cold.
Service was good enough, but the real reason to go here is for the location. Patio drinks here is fantastic. The only thing holding it back is the weather in Vancouver. If it's nice out, this is a great great place, if it's not...and that's why it only gets 3 stars. -

Arrived late on a Thursday night (9), and we got the last open table on the patio. The waitress was quick and efficient taking our order and getting our drinks. The Whistler honey ale is a great local beer!
Dinner order:
Even though its listed as an entree, we ordered the Cocunut Thia mussels as an appetizer to share- it came within minutes, steaming hot and great!!
Friend and I both had the seafood penne, and thought it was a great value for the money, it came loaded with seafood.
Some reviews had commented that it was too pricey, but our tab was $60 a person including tip, and we had a pitcher each of beer ($20). I've paid $20 for breakfast while here in Van, so this seemed super reasonable.
The only downside was the service after the plates were cleared, the serving staff were busy clearing the unused portions of the patio, so we had a challenge with our patience trying to get our bill.
Overall I thought it was a great location, really good food for the money, and pretty decent service -

Ahh....The Mill. Despite the fact it is but a few blocks from where I work and where I live, I do not come here often. I come here because I get invited to come here, not because I particularly seek out The Mill experience.
The good: The location - situated in Coal Harbour, the views of the North Shore mountains and the water are amazing from the patio.
The okay: The food, which is a little expensive considering the mediocrity. The service, which is just fine when you get a server who does what he/she is paid to do and nothing else.
The bad: The relatively expensive drinks, the sometimes snarky and incompetent servers, and the fact that the place itself does not have toilets (one would have to use the public toilets in the park).
Other than the views/location, The Mill really has not much else to offer. I prefer not to return, but this is one of the few bars/pubs in my neighbourhood with a big patio and a great view. Since most of the people I know are just too weak to resist it, I am pretty certain I will return time and again, albeit unwillingly.
2.5 stars for the view/location and not much else. I could round up my rating to a 3, but I pretty much have the same view from my apartment's balcony, so I won't. -
Review from Amy T.
One thing to understand when you eat here is that you are paying more money for pub food. Is it worth it? Yes.
First let's start with the service. It was impeccable! I booked room for 25 people for a birthday party and everything was handled correctly from beginning to end. They wished my husband the birthday boy, "happy birthday." They introduced themselves, - Ed, our waiter is very professional and patient and Derek, the manager made sure everyone was having a good time and made sure we were all comfortable. They brought out a coat rack for all of us to hang our coats up and provided each person or couple with a number card. The card with a number on it helped each person order with their number so the bills do not get mixed up. If you wanted to order something, we just had to tell Ed and gave him the number we had. At the end of the night, the bill was settled in record time without any problems.
So how was the food? It's great! I had the crab quesadilla and loved it. It was dripping with cheese and crab. What's not to love! I also had the seafood chowder. It was thick, creamy and had chunks of seafood. I tried some of my friend's salmon slider burger and thought it was average. I also grabbed some nachos that everyone was sharing and enjoyed it immensely.
How's the view? Well, in the winter, you can't see much since it's so dark and we sat inside. Inside the restaurant was very cozy and we had a little fireplace. There's a boat hanging on the wall as well. Really enjoyed the decor and the style of this bistro.
Now if you're eating here in the summer, I highly recommend that you sit outside on the patio. It is gorgeous. On a hot summer's afternoon or evening, you will be able to enjoy the sun (patio umbrella outside as well), you will see Stanley Park, children playing in the fountain and dogs running around on the grass, sea planes taking off and the beautiful water. This is definitely one of my favorite patios to sit out on in the summer time. Just keep in mind that they don't take reservations in the summer.Listed in: Patios Around Town, Best for Drinking, Pet Friendly Vancouver

This is a decent watering hole in an interesting location. GIven its location and prices, I think this place caters more to tourists that the locals that live in Coal Harbour.
Ordered the Salmon Burger and a few beers and ended up paying $37 for it.
The burger was very good, with a decent piece of fish. The service was good and attentive. Like the room in general.
However, given the prices not sure if I would make an effort to go here. One warning the place does not a have a deep fryer - so no fries or greasy food here. -

Good scenery, good food and does not cost an arm & a leg (easy to do in Coal Harbour) Great if you are in the hood, don't need to park anything and are OK with mediocrity.
Patio faces North so gets cold as soon as the sun disappears, and if you need the Loo, you have to go to the Public park washrooms next door.
If you are in the area and can't make it any farther it will do good, as long as you don't set your expectations too high. -

The 2 times we've visited the MILL have both been above average for the items we've ordered.
Serious Seafood Chowder
Salmon Pizza
Mussels
Drinks are ok also. -

A hidden restaurant overlooking the water, the Northshore mountains and a bit of Stanley Park - such an amazing location. I can only image what it is like during the summer.
The food here is amazing! They don't have a deep fryer, which tells me they like healthy fresh food. And it most definitely was. I ordered their smoked salmon pizza with capers, cream cheese sauce and green onions. YUM! It was a bit salty (okay a lot salty) from the capers, but the crust and compensated for it. I love salt (probably too much) so it wasn't that bad.
My friend got their margarita pizza and that was delicious too. The right amount of cheesey-ness to tomato-y goodness. Their meatloaf looked amazing, even between two slices of bread. Their sandwiches and burgers are served with salad or soup.
We sat on the patio and on a chilly winter's day, it can get quite cold. They have heaters, but there was no medium option. We were either freezing cold or boiling hot. The waitress kept on turning it on and off. Every time it was off, it took a couple of times asking for her to turn it on before it was turned on again. The most frustrating part? When we left, we could tell that the other side of the patio had the heat on - where NO ONE was sitting.
Service sucked. It was slow and difficult to get a hold of our waitress. Sometimes, we had to ask a couple of times to get what we wanted. They weren't very busy, so it was definitely frustrating.
Drinks were pretty reasonable too. I got their special of their evening. A pint for $3.50. Seriously blew my mind. I could not finish it.
Would I go back? Only for the food. Its that good. -

The first time I went to The Mill, many moons ago, I thought it was a gem. Cozy little room, cheap beer, good pub food, and a nice view of the harbour. I would sometimes stop in while out on seawall for a nice glass of wine.
But the times have changed and the tide has turned. It's all about their big patio now: noisy people and nachos, big-screen TVs and sports. We were there for a little pre-dinner sunset drink, so I guess we were spared the additional screaming from the water park. (Kids are so cute when they're asleep.)
Drinks have gone all expensive now and there's none of that martini list refinement anymore, just shooters with names like "Red Headed Slut", frozen blender drinks, and a curious number of variations on the Caesar. Who cares? It's like The Mill is trying to be a beachside drink shack - except without the beach.
All I wanted to do was drink my festive frozen strawberry lemonade and get the hell out of there. Service has caught Earls/Cactus Club disease - pretty girls in tight black outfits who show varying levels of competence - but we were lucky to get a competent server.
The location is golden, but The Mill has turned to brass. Truly an obnoxious little watering hole. -

3 Stars: why you ask? The location and view = 5. Everything else =1
It's cute, it's cozy, it's small and it's 2 blocks from my home. I dominated the mayorship of this place on FourSquare (which meant free beer!). But ultimately, I couldn't reconcile the amazing view and location with the crappy service and even crappier food.
Yes, the location is to die for. Nestled in the middle of the coal harbour boardwalk, it overlooks the sea planes and has a waterpark infront of it. On a summer day the patio is FULL. They give you blankets when it's cold, and the amble through a park to get to it is pretty awesome.
But.. (we knew there'd be a but) the menu is sub-par. Not only in selection (there really isn't a whole lot on it.. a ton of seafood dishes, but not much else); but the quality of the food is ..lame. I ordered a salad from there and got spinach leaves and some mandarin slices. For $10+ I'd like my salad to have more than two ingredients and not look like I ran to safeway to fill the order.
The other times I've eaten there the food hasn't been awesome. I had the pasta primavera, and it was.. ok. I've tried the sliders, the pizza. I don't even remember what else because they were so bland they didn't stand out.
TO THEIR CREDIT: when we first moved to the neighbourhood and discovered this place during our exploring, the manager came over and gave us some free drink cards as a 'welcome to the neighbourhood' and had a quick chat.
I honestly think this place has the potential to be something awesome, but unfortunately they use their location and guarantee of clientelle as a crutch for substandard food. -
Review from Eros A.
This is a tricky one because there were some things I loved and some not so much... so I will average it and give it a three.
Things I liked:
Nachos - not a big fan but those were really good
Alpine Honey Larger - I could drink this beer for breakfast, so good!
Outdoors Seating - nice outdoors overlooking the marina.
things didn't like:
Halibut Burger - fish by itself was good, but in a dried bun it wasn't. no sauce or any else to accompany it.
Service - It was a bit slow
Overall it is a nice cool lunch/drink spot! -
Review from Allison F.
Came here this weekend in desperate need of a drink and some dinner. We were seated out on the patio, overlooking the children's water park. Thankfully the water wasn't going while we were there and so it was a nice atmosphere.
I'm assuming here that you're paying for the location and that is definitely reflected in the food and drink prices. Beer is averagely priced but the wines were quite expensive, with limited 'by the glass' options. Appetizers were more than what I had expected the main dishes to cost and so that immediately worried me. We decided to stick with just drinks and while many people appeared to be enjoying their meals, I didn't feel comfortable paying that much for pub food.
If you are looking for a spot to stop for a drink while out on the Seawall, this is definitely a good location for people watching and relaxing. Just be prepared to pay for your scenery and to use the public beach washrooms, as patrons are instructed that they are for their use, and not any in the actual restaurant. Ack. -

What a beautiful pub. Dark wood, fireplace-cozy atmosphere with yummy fresh smells coming from the semi-open kitchen. A number of flat screen televisions up high on the walls to watch the games. A heated patio equiped with fleece down blankets on each chair to keep you extra toasty. A lovely view and bar staff that will remember you.
The only thing really lacking here, for me, is the menu. While full of healthier pub options, there is only a couple of items a vegetarian like myself can choose from. I love the pizza but wouldn't mind a veggie burger or another meatless pub-foodish meal sometimes too. Lots of seafood on the one page menu but needs more salads or things like that. Also, the wine price is pretty steep and the few times I splurged there, I paid over $10 a glass.
Agreeing with Mina B., Definitely 3.5 stars.Listed in: Drink it up

Great location, hidden from the bustling street.
Awesome patio for chilling and having drinks with friends.
Downside: the food is mediocre. Even worse is that it is pricey. I don't recommend the Pulled Pork sandwich. The bun is hard, the meat is tough. Although the chowder was good. -

Hard to review this one.
I love the honey ale but that was not of their doing and the nachos were good but the chicken burger I had, 'eh. This is a 2.5 rating more or less.
Service was friendly enough and the location is good, overlooking the marina but you don't come here for the view or ambiance. The view is obstructed my a fountain and the ambiance is ruined by kids running around in the park.
The chicken was too small for the bun, not sure why they even attempted to put it on there. I eventually just took it off. Had no real flavor really. Another surprising thing..under 'burgers'..no actual beef burgers, so strange. At least from an American perspective it is strange, maybe it is normal? -

The location and view here are AMAZING - especially on a nice sunny afternoon. You get the mountains, the sea, Stanley Park and various dogwalkers/ rollerbladers.
I had a very decent nicoise salad with ample amounts of olives, marinated onion, tomatoes and cucumber (plus the tuna and egg, of course). The dressing was a tangy vinaigrette.
What else can I say? The food is very good but not spectacular, but it's an impressive place to take visitors without paying a fortune. -

This place has a very nice patio in the summer if you are walking the seawall in Coal Harbour and get hungry or thirsty. Decent drink selection of beer, wine, and a few cocktail choices (although I still find it odd that they don't serve sangria). Good food - we ordered a few starters to share and I especially liked the margarita pizza. They also know how to make good nachos here, which few places seem to be able to do these days. Good service. Prices are a bit steep for a pub, but given the location this is to be expected.

This place is super cool. It's hidden away from the street and there is an awesome view of Gross Mtn. I'm American so the beers were strong and tasty. I highly recommend this place for a nice casual dinner and a couple beers.

They claim to have the largest patio in town. I'm not really sure, but if they're wrong then they're certainly close.
It's a very cute place. But oh my gosh, it's expensive. The Santa Fe salad I get is pushing $20. To me, that's way too much for a salad. Perhaps they justify it by labeling it a "big salad." However, I've had similar portions at other places for less. The salad is good, but not enough to keep me from choking over the price.
This might be a good place to go if someone else is paying! Or maybe just for a beer. -

Given it is close to where I live, it tends to be the go-to place for beer and appies after a hard day of work.
It's expensive for pub-fare (nachos loaded with pulled pork can set you back $20), but the ambiance is great, overlooking the sea wall around coal harbour and fountains right next to their courtyard patio. I would highly recommend NOT going when weather is dismal--their inside is dark and screaming for an update, but the best feature has to be their patio, which is great on a sunny afternoon.Listed in: My Neighborhood

This was my first meal since 4:30am of that day and I just flew into Vancouver so I was tired and hungry. Total tourist trap. Pretty much the only restaurant in the area excluding the expensive hotel restaurants.
~$16 wild salmon burger was a clear sign that it was a tourist trap but the sandwich was decent although it had a goat cheese spread that was too strong and overpowered the fish.
A few major pluses: They serve Granville Island Brewery on tap and nice bay view (including a patio).
Also, a lovely view of the bay in a beautiful area. When you pay $16 for a salmon burger here, you are paying for location, location, location. Anyways, beautiful location! -
Review from Steve Y.
Simple. You're paying for the view. If it wasn't for the view, I would've given it a 1 star. I got the Thai Mussels $16. The flavor of the broth was quite fine, but the mussels were over cooked. It was like chewing on pencil eraser (not that I did that in elementary school). I barely ate half.
One friend liked her Salmon Burger with pesto mayo $16. The other friend didn't seem to be excited about his salad. They did have heaters on the patio which made the plastic tables and chairs all nice and toasty. If I wanted a view, I'd rather get food from the market across the street and have a picnic by the waterfront instead. -

Oh dear! What a shame. Been to this plce a few times as friends invited me. I gave it one start because of location but thats about it. My last experience was really not what I needed on a sunny afternoon at the start of my weekend. The waitresses were rude and incompetent, my friend sent the lousy nachos back as it was just a big pile of chips with little else for a whopping price....but the worst of all....for an hour there were 5 of us, then a friend arrived for the last 10 minutes before we left. We asked for the bill and they charged us 16% on our party as suddenly we were six!! Outrageously cheeky. The manager and staff don`t give two hoots about the customers. If the waitresses feel they may not get a good tip from you they leave you high and dry. People should be tipped if they give good service...there is way too much obligatory tipping in this country and its making the service shite.

Oh my god. Oh my god, the caesars. The Julius Caesar, with balsamic vinegar and a boconcini and tomato skewer was my favourite, with the Haida Gwaii (with a lemon-dill rim and a smoked salmon skewer) was a close second. We didn't try the food, but I'd come back in a heartbeat for more of those caesars.

Not enough patio's in this city, this one will have to do for now! the food was very tasty, i recommend the Tuscan pizza, and a pint to help it down!

3.5 stars.
close to where i live this is always an easy option.
been there to watch quite a few hockey games. the service is friendly, the food a little too expensive and unfortunately not a lot of vegetarian options.
i've tried the thai veggie rice bowl which wasn't very special but i'm a HUGE fan of the margherita thin crust pizza which i will always come back for.
whistler beer on special for every ppv game, wine a little too expensive and they don't do half litres. you can only get a 6oz or 9 oz glass or a bottle.
i'll come back for hockey and pizza!Listed in: best (pub) food (Vancouver)

This is a 4-star place to have a beer on a beautiful day. What a view! Didn't try the food, but the service was very friendly.

If it's summer time and it's a hot one, there is no other place to be then the Mill. Tucked away on the seawalk by Coal Harbour and the float planes and the new tourism building by the Pan Pacific, the patio seating and views of the North Shore are spectacular. The Mill is a great way to start a Sunday or end a Saturday night. The food is very typical bar food, appetizers, beer and nachos, wines and cocktails. It is a bit more pricey because of the location, but worth it. The fountains in the front and the park is so nice for a picnic,
