    Very cool pub!
We celebrated St. Patricks Day 2012 here because the line was the shortest on Granville. We definitely don't regret it.

We had an awesome night. We entered at 3pm and we left at 2 am. I think that says everything!

The drinks are typical Irish pub. I love my Kilkenny :-D. Good choice of whiskey.
    The food is so delicious.
Especially the Hot Brownie was AMAZING! But so much that we shared it with 3 people.

The decoration is irish pub typical and we enjoyed the balcony area.

The service was very nice and motivated.

Not a fan of closing at midnight! We were only there for about a half hour before we were ushered out.

The pub is two levels, and the lower level was jam-packed so we went upstairs. I thought there would be another bar up there, but nope. The waitresses have to go up and down the flights of stairs -- constantly! I felt bad for them.

And it is riDICulously hot there. It felt like a sauna because there's no ventilation. Whose brilliant idea was that? Is that even like, safe? Everyone's body heat certainly didn't help either. Once people started leaving, I could breathe again.

I might give this place another shot though. It also has outdoor seating that would be prime people watching down Granville Street.

Lennox was okay. I came here to meet an Aunt and Uncle who were visiting from Ottawa. They had been here before and really liked it, so this is where they wanted to go.

It was alright. It's pretty small, and I found the layout to be kind of awkward. I wasn't planning to eat... just have a few beers.

When they got there, it took forever for someone to come take our orders. We ordered drinks and they were brought to us promptly... but my Aunt and Uncle had been travelling all day and wanted food, and they had trouble trying to flag down a server to come take an order.

They ordered yam fries and I ended up getting the crab dip.

The food came, and they made a mistake and just gave them normal fries... the crab dip was good but it was too hard to actually dip the chips into it. The chips just broke. You had to use the spoon to dip. It was tasty... just... tough, haha. I could see it being really good with like a pita chip or bread of some sort instead of tortilla chips. The server never came back to check up on my relatives... so they never had their fries corrected. Oh well.

I didn't have a great experience, but I was in good company so I wouldn't say it was bad. It was a Thursday evening, so maybe the server was just off her game. I'll probably come back eventually to give it another chance with a full-on meal.

After about 2 hours, we were done. The server hardly checked up on us at all... and if she had... we probably would have had more to drink. Their loss, I guess?

Chill pub in the heart of the Granville district which is fairly casual and laid back compared to a lot of other places nearby.

The menu is quite varied and has some interesting options, however, unfortunately for me, most of them contain gluten. Turns out they use tortillas that contain a mix of wheat and corn so that further limited my options. However our server was very patient with my questions and found out about the tortillas after double checking with the kitchen, which I appreciated. I ended up trying the taco salad without the taco bowl (the bowl being of aforementioned wheat-and-corn tortilla origin). It was tasty but would have been better in my opinion with the addition of avocado and black beans.

The music was quite loud so for a lot of the night I had to repeat myself or almost shout to make myself heard.

In the end, nothing particularly overwhelming or underwhelming, but good service and great location if you're looking for a casual spot in the 'hood.

Had a pint of Okanagan Pale with Wings and House Salad with Chicken added.

The beer, which i've had before, was refreshing as always, wings were nothing special but there were lots and the Salad was very fresh tasting and Chicken perfectly seasoned.

Nice place, average interior, would go back.

I had the opportunity to dine at The Lennox Pub this past Monday, and I was really happy with the experience.  Two colleagues and I flew from Chicago to Vancouver, checked into the hotel and decided we were hungry and needed something quick.  After wandering down the street...and asking a local where we should eat (didn't take her recommendation) we ended up at The Lennox.

I could give it 4 stars, but I didn't think our server was all that great.  She was efficient and knowledgeable enough...but really didn't seem to be enjoying the job.  I was happy with her beer knowledge and their beer selection in general.  We ordered beers (Granville Winter Ale) YUM!

The food was better than your average bar.  I had chicken strips (i know boring) but they were encrusted with almonds and and something else different.  They were yummy.

All in all, I'd definitely come back..but I'd hope for their sake they do some nice things for our server to get her motivated and smiling!

No Fruili here, but a great place to chill, watch the game, and chat with friends.

We were here on a Saturday night, and they asked for ID - oh ya (crazy!)

They seemed to have a wide variety of beer on tap, and the service was good.  They were attentive, but not over bearing.

    We'll be back!

I had a late lunch today at "The Lennox Pub" on a whim after noticing the outdoor seating to go with the beautiful weather. There was a menu posted outside to digest; very broad range of foods. Everything from your standard burger, to salmon to and interesting duck BLT.

For my choices I went with the crab cake appetizer and the DBLT (duck). Both dishes we very good, my only suggestion is to show up hungry. My sandwich was massive as well as my salad which I was not expecting.

For those looking to tickle their taste buds with alcohol, The Lennox has a wide range of brew with full bar. They have three native to Belgium beers that were fantastic. The setting is casual with friendly service and outdoor seeting for a sunny day.

Pop quiz, hotshot. Is the Lennox an Irish bar or an English bar? The answer: neither.

Because it takes more than to slap a few shamrocks around and sell Guinness to make it Irish. Our bars have warmth and charm, the craic, you know? I imagine the only chance of getting any craic here is if someone is selling it on the street outside.

The bartenders and waitress act like they went to a Gulag charm school.  They also look like rejects from an Earls recruitment drive. All the right blonde hair but no sparkle. You couldn't find any buachailli or cailini in Vancouver to work here? Hell, even an Aussie would help!

So Irish, no, not so much. I'd say an airport Irish bar in Hong Kong has more chance of being authentic.

So, the question is, can it be called an English bar? Since you are showing hockey on all the big screens, no. Come on, give us some concessions and show football at least.

I am well aware that I am liable to incur some wrath for this review, and to those I say, bring it! We have one Canadian bar in London and dammit, if they don't make the effort to be Canadian!

I've been going there for years and for me it feels like a favourite pair of jeans....a bit faded but very comfortable.  One thing I like about the bar is the mix of regulars vs. visitors young and not--so-young, goups of guys, groups of girls, etc.  Great for people watching, particularly on the patio looking over Granville on Saturday or Sunday afternoons.

Selection of beer not that vast but I drink the same thing anyway (as I suspect most people do) so I don't miss what I don't desire.

I find the food quite good, particularly the salads which are huge with fresh ingredients.  Hamburgers and other pub fare are likewise of good quality.  Many of the staff have been there for quite a while and it shows in that they are quite professional.

We stopped in for a quick beer and snack and sat on the small patio to do some Granville @ Robson people watching which is always entertaining.

The menu really didn't excite me and I was leary of ordering the crab and artichoke dip but the choices for sharing plates were slim. It was actually ok, nothing amazing but it was fine.

Our server was pleasant. The indoor looked kind of shabby. Personally if I'm going for a pub on Granville I'd rather go to the Morrissey as it's got better decor and better food.

Due to it's location at one of Vancouver's busiest intersections, it is home to a great blend of tourists, local drop-ins, and regulars.

The patio is one of the great people watching perches in all of Vancouver.  You truly see all types.

The staff is always super friendly and effective.

The menu is very diverse for a local pub.  I have to admit that I usually stuck to the burgers.  But my friends ate a wide range of dishes.  The food was always freshly prepared and with more care that you usually expect from a pub.

They have a good (but not huge selection of beers).

The ambiance is pretty much a basic pub.  It is pretty large.  There are two levels.  I always preferred sitting on the patio though.  and if not, then on the main level.  The top level felt a little tight.

This is just a great pub to spend an evening at with friends.

Beer selection isn't bad but there isn't really anything out of the ordinary. This is a pretty predictable pub. The food is not great at all.

What they have going for them is that they pour a pretty good pint of guinness.

Another Irish pub on Granville Street, just what Vancouver needs right? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

My friend dragged me here for a drink after work, and I should have guessed by the lack of clientelle that this place was lame. First off, it was a backtrack to the 90's with the music selection, I guess I was expecting more current music since Granville is one of the "trendy" areas downtown. Our server was okay, kind of bland and forgettable, much like the food. I ordered the potato skins, since I was feeling like greasy pub fare, except the only thing on the potato skins was diced tomatos and a tiny amount of cheese. I'm not gonna lie, I was expecting something a bit more substantial for $11. I could have ordered a veggie sandwhich with fries for $11, not just a crap-atizer!

The drinks were just as bad. We each ordered a cesar, which some places consider to be a highball. Apparently not at the Lennox though, they were $7.50 each! I can get a double for less than that at other pubs! In any case, I doubt I will be back to the Lennox anytime soon. My disappointment with the food and prices will not be forgotten.

It's always awkward eating dinner alone. It's even more awkward when you have a shitload of time to kill and you feel like having some drinks. Yes, alone...drinking. Stop judging me, I like cocktails.

I scoped out Granville street but I was either turned off by the vibe of places, or the menus seemed like crap. I settled on the Lennox and it worked out pretty well.

I chose a table, and got comfy. My waitress wasn't condescending as sometimes they can have the "you're weird for being here alone" kind of attitude. My lady was super nice, recommended drinks for me that I'd never had before and the service was really quick. Do you like sweet shooters? Try a Swedish Berry. It tastes like the candy! I may have accidentally ordered 3...or was it 4? I don't know, or care. They were yum.

My flat bread was tasty, warm and fresh and came with a roasted clove of garlic. If I had any chances of being approached while dining alone, they were squashed after I devoured the garlic. Of the two dips, I liked the red pepper and goat cheese one over the hummus. It was freaking good.

    I will be coming back

Stopped in to catch the US vs Ghana World Cup match and we grabbed some seats at the bar right as the match was set to begin.  The bartender was friendly and made decent recommendations to the patrons next to us from what I could tell.  One note, you probably want to specify if you want a "Canadian" beer, and if you want a "Canadian Beer" since one or the other may get you two completely different types of brews.

There's a couple of levels to the place and with it comes to a relative wealth of seating around.  The pub never got overwhelmingly full as it seemed most were able to get seats, and servers roamed fairly steadily around the tables.  Grabbed a couple of beers on tap so I can't say how the drinks were, but the pints were priced moderately.  If anything, it seemed maybe slightly higher, but hard to say without knowing the exact exchange rate.  Either way, even if it is slightly higher, it's not by very much.

Pretty chill vibe overall, so not a bad place to drop in and grab a pint with some lunch.  They do have an extensive food menu for a pub in comparison to others that I've been to, but didn't end up ordering anything off of that either.  There was a handful of items that managed to catch my eye, but can't say as to how anything tasted.  It's on Granville, but towards the end, so definitely doesn't get as busy as some other venues down the street.  Vibe is relaxed overall, and so it doesn't seem like it would be a bad way to spend a chill sort of night in the area.  Or, to watch the US lose in overtime.  SIgh...

Stumbled on this place for lunch and was not disappointed.  Not too crowded, and there seemed to be a mix of both tourists and locals on their lunch break.

The service as good.  Not amazing - or the rating would have been 4 stars.

After a day or so in Vancouver, I pretty much felt at home. There are so many Irish pubs (and decent pubs, at that) that I could pretty much get my taters and whiskey on anywhere within a walking radius of my hotel.

I have to yet to try the Irish Snug (that's what they used to call me in highschool, heh) but the Lennox was great.

It was spacious, classy and the assortment of liquor was quite wonderful. It's a full service bar with pub food, although unfortunately I had already eaten. It's a very relaxed, down home vibe and you can the tell the bartenders don't have time or the patience for stupid people, or stupid questions. It was an adult bar, even though it's situated in a the land of giant hamburgers, pitchers and toga parties (maybe it was just the weekend I was here, but there was definitely a party town atmosphere going on).

It's really a great place to make friends, sit at the bar and drink a Guinness. Or chocolate martini, which I may have to get before I leave ;-)

I had a friend in town and we adventured into the city for some bar hoping.  Well it was more like we hit a bar because once we arrived here we never left.

It's a full bar with with food (which we never tried but looked and smelled good especially the chicken wings) They also have a few beers on tap. The staff were friendly and fun to chat with. The crowd averages from locals to tourist to... well the regulars. I guess that's the same thing as locals eh? You get the point.

My friend & I snuck in here for a late meal on a weekend before we hit the road back to Seattle.  We're a sucker for pubs & we were all in the mood for beer anyway.  This location definitely got us since it was basically on our way out of town.  There was a fabulous selection of beer here, as well.  I stuck with a darker ale which was good & seemed to be my pattern for the weekend.

Food wise, I went for the corned beef sandwich, which was great, but huge. I gave up about halfway through even though the lean meat and stack of cheddar cheese was more than tempting.  I'm afraid someone would have had to roll me out of there if I had continued.  I did dig their sweet potato fries, though.  Nice & light, but still full of flavor not covered up by excessive seasoning or use of oil.  The desserts were extremely rich & I just couldn't do it.  I sampled some from my friends & that was plenty.

We sat in the upstairs area since most people were downstairs in the bar area.  We got to hog the TV and watch some football while enjoying our beer & food.  Also, we had friendly waitress who didn't seem to mind our silliness & kept our beers full.  She also had our checks split & run lickity split.  Overall, it was a relaxing afternoon meal in a decent pub, so I'd be inclined to try the place out again in the future.

I have been several time to the Lennox pub, but I thin the last are the one that will count. Each time we either waited very long before somebody was here to seat us (and no there was no line) or, like today, we sat and waited to no end. We were on the mezzanine and waited. Then a group of people came, then we decided to leave. The waitress didn't even try to apologize when she asked us if we were leaving.

If it happens once it is bad luck. If it happens twice, it is bad service. I guess we'll not attempt a third time to return there.

Thank God there's a pub that doesn't charge cover on St. Patty's Day!  That's just wrong.

If you're looking for a place on Granville to grab a pint or two, where they won't ask you to give them $20 at the door, show up at the corner of Granville and Robson.

Guinness on tap and Macallan 18.  YUM!!!!!!

The lennox used to be one of my 'go-to's. They have great food, a nice 'english pub' vibe, and you can't beat being situated on the corner of Granville & Robson.

I've often dropped my man off there to have a pint while I shopped - ladies, take note!

They were on my "best burgers" list - they had a bbq burger that was .. to die for. The duck salad wasn't half bad either.

But then.. things changed. I hadn't gone in a while and when I headed over there to relive the good ol' days, the burger was.. sub-par. The duck salad was gone. They still have the coconut chicken fingers, but the burger was what had stolen my heart.

I'll try the burger once more, and see if maybe the chef was having an off day - but my guess is there was a kitchen-staff turnover and my dear beloved burger suffered for it.

My gf and I came here on the recommendation of a friend, let's see if this passes muster.

Typical Celtic/Irish bar w/lots of wood everywhere. Their taps were filled w/lots of traditional UK brews and then some. My gf and I went for the Hoegaarden in the giant glasses. They have a neat thing here where they cold wash all their beer glasses before pouring. I wish they did this back home. Anyways, after a number of rounds and $57.75 later we decided to leave and be about our journey.

Worth a try if you're in the area and thirsty.

My first thought upon entering the Lennox was, why haven't I been here before?  My friend and I decided to stop in for some eats and we were none disappointed.  The atmosphere of the Lennox is akin to an English pub, with a thick wood bar and two seating areas on multiple levels.  Our server was attentive and friendly and also, prompt!  I ordered the veggie burger with fries and my friend had the steak sandwich.  I have to say that this burger was better than the veggie sandwich I had at Chill Winston the night before and of course, it was cheaper!  My friend claimed the steak sandwich was done perfectly and each dish arrived at our table without us having to wait.

I will definitely be swinging by here again, this is a perfect people watching destination, being situated at the corner of Granville and Robson streets.

My girlfriend and I stopped into the Lennox to meet a friend after work. It's a great Celtic pub in a great downtown location - close to both work and shopping.

Most important in a pub, the beer selection was superb. They had a great variety of domestic (North American) and imported beers from around the world. The 20-oz. pints were especially appreciated.

The food menu ranged from your typical bar fare to the more Euro-inspired. We started with the crab dip, which was excellent.

For our meals, my girlfriend had the roast beef dip sandwich, which was a bit dry for her liking.

Our friend had the BBQ beef burger; she seemed to enjoy it.

I went for an entree and ordered the confit duck. It came with winter vegetables and apples over wild rice. It was well presented, and quite tasty.

The food was quite filling. By the time it came for dessert, we had no room. Not such a bad thing, really.

All in all, a great, casual spot in the middle of the city. Recommended.

Lennox Pub is one of those places you never really get excited to go to. It's neither great enough to be an"it" place, nor grungy cool enough to be a dive. Most of the time is smells like puke or piss near the staircase, and the crowd is something like retarded drunk frat boys making a pit stop before going to another douchey club on the granville strip. I do make the occasional stop here when I'm in the area... when I have to use the bathroom....Thanks!

My carpaccio beef was sliced so thinly and left so long before serving it had stuck to the plate in places. The other food was truly just standard pub grub.

Nothing terrible, but the thought of returning really does provoke the lifeless "meh" rating for me.

It's really easy to find yourself in the Lennox. Mostly because of its convenient location on Granville at Robson, but once you're in it's easy to stay. The bartender makes a mean Caesar with not one, but two spicy beans, so that's always a bonus in my books.

They have imported beer taps on display when you approach the bar and they serve 20oz pints (none of this 16oz rip-off stuff). But if you don't want to pay $9 for a pint, look to the side of the bar where the domestic beer taps are located and save yourself some cash. I'd drink Keith's over Stella most days anyway!

The Lennox is a true pub atmosphere with a crowd of mixed ages. There's a pretty big menu, but we just went for some munchies. It's a great place to watch the game and there's a patio out front that seems to be full no matter what the weather is like.

This place is awesome. We just wanted a place to sit down, watch the game, and have a few drinks and maybe some food.

The food was great, the service was fast, and you can see the game from just about anywhere in the place. We went back a few times, and had the same experience each time. The place was always just full enough to snag the last table available. I would easily go back again when i'm in the area.

The price was on par with anywhere else in the area.

Some classmates and I stopped by for a quick drink on a weeknight and it was surprisingly lively. Great location, good service but drinks aren't exactly cheap if a pint of cider costs 8 bucks before tax.

Great location and a cool vibe but they lose a star for not giving a fellow Lenox (hey, what's an N between friends?) a free pint. No, really, it just not that fantastic of a place.

Multiple veggie options that taste good, too! Relaxed environment that has a sports bar kind of feel. Creme brulee is a dessert option which instantly made me very happy. However, chai tea creme brulee sounds interesting but really isn't that great. They should replace it with regular creme brulee! Oh well, you can't have it all. I'd still probably go here again.

This place is pretty much what you would expect. A standard Irish pub without pretension and a cover charge. Real 20oz pints and if you want something different you should definitely indulge in one of the giant glasses of Hoegaarden.

I strolled in here on my way back to the Hostels after a long day of exploring the North Shore. I had a hankerin' for some Fish & Chips and boy did I go to the right place. The service was excellent, fast and friendly. And the Fish & Chips were some of the best I've ever tasted. Tender white fish Fried to a golden hue, served with fries and coleslaw! Delicous. I also had a lukewarm cup of coffee, but that can be forgiven since the fish was so good. Definitely give this place a shot, especially if you like pub fare and micro brews.
