Review from Goos Y.
I normally try to avoid chain restaurants when I'm traveling especially chains that I have back home in Seattle but after a subpar meal at a local place, I decide to give the keg a shot.
It was great. I arrived before the rush and was immediately seated. The service was great. Not too pushy but attentive. I got the classic prime rib(10oz), medium rare. It was perfect! The salad and sides that accompanied the meal we large and very filling.
Definitely recommend this location if you're in the area. -

It's been awhile since I've been to Keg. And my last visit made me develop newfound appreciation for the chain.
The atmosphere is very inviting compared to other Kegs I've been to. Plush carpet floors, red accents on the walls, brown furnitures and pot lightings contribute to cozy vibe instead of modern upscale decors other Kegs go for. I also noticed that this restaurant has very high ceilings. It gives a very spacious and airy feel. Overall, I loved the homely decors with a touch of formal vibe.
Noise level is pretty much standard Keg - somewhere between high and deafeningly high. This Keg also felt a bit darker since the ceilings are high (pot lights are high above the ground level). Tables sizes can vary depending on where you sit, but I found them to be decent overall. Table for two can be a bit tight, but it is still agreeable. Booth tables provide intimate setup. There are many elliptical tables for group dining. There is good amount of privacy on each table. Seats are very comfortable. Servers are genuinely nice and accommodating. No fake smiles or trying too hard to be courteous. Just real kindness. She was quite attentive as well. Foods came out at a good pace - not slow but not too fast either. Restrooms are extremely clean.
We ordered caesar salad, escargot and 2 filet mignons.
Escargot was excellent. It wasn't too salty. And it had a pleasant mix of subtle acidic note and herb flavors. The garlic wasn't overpowering at all. Not sure what the mushrooms brought to the dish other than giving each piece a sizable appearance, but hey, they were there and cooked quite nicely as well. Very hearty taste overall.
The salad was decent. I wasn't impressed. It looked and tasted like something you would find in Pickle Barrel restaurants. But it did feel fresh and lively compared to other caesar salads at mediocre restaurants. But that doesn't say much. Told you to order scallops....
The filet mignon was outstanding. The meat was tender and cooked mid-rare perfectly. It could have been a bit more tender, but at $29 I really can't argue. It was packed with natural flavors. And it was very juicy as well. The sauce (I don't know what it is...) helped inject a bit more energy into the meat by providing a creamy sour pinch. Unfortunately, the mashed potatoes were a bit too firm for my taste. And the zucchini was undercooked. The presentation of the dishes were rather sloppy.
It is easily a four star restaurant in my book. But I have to consider the value. The total for dinner for two came up to just $105 including tax. That includes 2 drinks, 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. All of those for $105? That's amazing. At restaurants like Jacob, Barberian, Octagon, etc. it could have easily surpassed $150. And the difference in quality is almost minimal. Not considering the price, Keg definitely can stand shoulder to shoulder with those steakhouses. Furthermore, the servers show sincere friendliness instead of stiff courteous manners. I really cannot find anything to fault about my last visit, the restaurant or the chain itself. Consistency of the chain has been amazing (even though there are some crappy locations). I don't think their menu changed much (except for my beloved ahi tuna being taken off....) past 10 years or so, but they still look as desirable as the first time I ate at Keg. They kept the classic formula that has been proven to satisfy customers and make them come back for more. Most importantly, as far as I can tell from my last visit, quality of foods has not declined one bit. Actually, they tasted better than what I remember from my 2nd last visit!
We enjoyed a delicious dinner. We kept the wallet fatter. We were happy customers. -

This location has the BEST Prime Rib! it melts in my mouth! and I keep coming back for more! I tried other steakhouses even paying more then what the Keg charges and it still doesn't compare. The only thing is that the line ups are LONG, every single night! regardless if it is monday or friday! grab a drink at the bar and wait it out.

I'm a big fan of this location. Really enjoy the fillet cut. Service has always been good and the one problem I had was resolved with free dessert and 20% discount.

Really nice atmosphere and settings and very clean. The food was sub-keg and the service was definitely under par.
Went with a group of people, after taking the initial order, our server seems to have disappeared. We were missing some water and had to wave down another waiter to ask for our waiter. Asked for the water, and once again he disappeared and no water. Kindda annoying.
Steak was unevenly cooked. Asked for a medium well rib steak, half of my steak was medium and the other half was well......kindda gives a different meaning to medium well.
One of the person in the group also found hair(s) in her food. She opted not to eat after that, In all fairness the Manager came by to make sure if there wasn't anything he can do. Since she was disgusted, she did not wanted a replacement.
The manager however offered us two pieces of cheese cake at no charge.
All in all, it was A-OK, the best part is the atmosphere, that's about it. -

Haven't been here for a while since it is expensive to eat for one person. However, I went with a few friends and my friend and I shared one of my favorite steaks, the top baseball sirloin steak. However, to eat with my friend I needed to order medium rare. :)
Anyway, I ordered it Chicago Style medium rare. They did it right the first time and it tasted awesome. Though it is a bit dry because it is medium rare.
Although I normally prefer blue rare; the baseball sirloin won't cook correctly if you request blue rare Chicago style (it will get too dry inside which is opposite of what you would expect) so get at most rare Chicago style for the best taste and texture.
We also ordered a Keg sized order of their nachos shared among 5 people with Jalapenos and olives on the side. Very light and yummy except for the parts that had the cheese clumped which still tasted good (though it is heavy)
And we got one virgin strawberry daiquiri since my friend never tried it before. Also great.
Overall great food, great price if you are willing to share. -

I love the new space. It has a great patio and great ambiance. Very cozy inside as well. The service is consistently good and they usually cook my steak perfectly the first time. The downside is that the green salad was boring (the green salad with shredded cheese which they used to serve was much better in my view) and the cocktails taste watered down for my liking.

Went to the other Keg house, order the Blue Cheese Fillet.
as good as it gets for a steak :)
can't go wrong going to this place, only you might need reservation if you have more than 2 people in your party.

The best part about this place was the atmosphere. A Tuesday night at 10pm, this place was packed. Upbeat Music. Good Scene. But the food wasn't much better than Applebee's and the wine menu was poor. I recommend for a group of people bc of the atmosphere, but if you're solo looking for a good meal, skip this place.

They moved their location and it was excellent there too. I was there with a group and it was good service and excellent steaks, just the way you want them when you order.
