I love coming here every time I'm in NF. Been going for maybe 20 years now (oof) and it remains a classic. This review is more for the overall experience rather than one specific dinner. My go-to is a baseball sirloin done rare/blue rare, iceberg wedge salad with blue cheese and a dirty martini. Service varies depending on the staff, but recently we had a truly excellent server which added to the experience. You definitely need reservations here so make sure you call ahead. The vibe is just classic steakhouse, and don't forget to look out the window to enjoy the view!

We had picked this restaurant because it was in our hotel and convenient. Our server was very attentive and nice. The ambiance was sophisticated and dim lighting which we liked. Perfect for date night & a nice dinner! The complimentary bread was good and had a yummy butter.
Where they lost some stars was the quality of the entrees. The filet tasted frozen and was not seasoned - tasted bland. My husband ordered the peppered sirloin and when I say they peppered it... they really put so much pepper on the outside that it was almost inedible. Wouldn't order that again. The vegetables that came with the steaks were bland and seemed undercooked. Their garlic mashed potatoes were the highlight of the dish.... We got a lovely ice cream cake to finish the night.
Overall for what they charge for their meats they should be much better quality and everything needed some salt/seasoning!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Our proposal planner who helped me with my engagement made this reservation for us at the keg. The main reason we were suggested the keg was the beautiful Niagara Falls views.
When we first walked in, we noticed the table was full of rose petals, and we were in awe that the restaurant allowed the decoration of their table for us! That was so lovely. Indeed, we had the most stunning view of the falls that probably existed at Niagara, so they lived up to those expectations.
We got the escargot, which was pretty good, it had flavor and was definitely deserving of 4 stars. We also dipped the bread in the seasoned butter that remained on the dish after and it went well.
We got the calamari, and it was much better than I expected! At view restaurants I normally expect 3 star food at best but this was like a 4 or 4.5 star calamari, I would actually eat it again!
We ordered the "rib steak", we didn't know what that meant but they confirmed my assumptions were correct that it's basically a "ribeye" which we are very familiar with. It was juicy, fatty, tender and delicious. They cooked it exactly how we ordered it and I had no complaints about it. We got lobster tails on the side of the steak and they were also delicious!
They gave us a cake on the house after the dinner and to be honest I don't remember the name of it since we didn't order it, but it tasted like a coffee ice cream cake and it was so yummy! I was surprised the free dessert was that big and that good.
All in all, it's one of the best places we ate at, at Niagara Falls and definitely the best one that had a falls view.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 5, 2023
Overall an ok steakhouse - you're paying for the location and the view. I would recommend a reservation around the time the light show in the Falls start and would absolutely wait for a table by a window.
They do have a good deal where you get a salad, main dish and side which is what I did. The twice baked potato is very good and the steak is seasoned well.
The service was what you'd expect at a steakhouse but again - the view is why you're there.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 10, 2023
Bar experience: food was great - different taste for a chicken wings here in Ontario Fallsview, the Prime Rib sliders was just like slabby, My hubby had Manhattan, the cherries on top was different taste. I had their Berry Cider (can).
Restaurant experience (dinner): this is not so good and need improvement in terms of service. The Blackened chicken and mushroom rice was great, we had wings again for the night and Keg cheeseburger.
Service : The bartender when we went as of 5pm was good and attentive . Unfortunately, the server on the late dinner we had past 11pm was the opposite. When we're done, he was the one who input the tip on their machine instead or me doing it (?) - this happened when I asked where is the customized tip section. There is no problem giving generous tip to those deserving though. So I clarified this with the manager and she said that is not unacceptable. She tried to apologized and will work out the situation with the manager.
Ambiance: 4 stars for the location - as it is overlooking the waterfallsHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

So every Keg I've been to always provides a great dining experience. Usually very consistent across the board when it comes to food.
My gf and I visited Niagara Falls right before the xmas holidays and we were staying at the Embassy Suites. I had made reservations at this Keg a month prior online without any issues (it was HELLA cold outside so having the resto inside the hotel was pretty sweet).
Saturday night, both of us got dressed to the 9s and made our way down. We had a 7pm res so we arrived around 6:45. I told the hostess to get us as close to the window as possible and she told us she'd see what she could do. After about a 10 min wait we were brought to a table that was 2 rows away from the window? The view was alright. Not great but we were still able to see SOME of the fireworks festivities during dinner which was cool.
Service is where I find myself having to drop the overall score by 1 star. We were sat and then, no one attended to us for a good 20 min. The waitress for the table next to us noticed that we were waiting for a good length of time and took it upon herself to get us started with bread, water and appetizer orders. Bless her heart. She should've gotten all our tips honestly. She explained to us that our server was very preoccupied with a bday party that was just finishing up but we saw him helping out all the other tables around us which was very odd.
Food and drink were immaculate as always. You can't really get a bad meal at the Keg. My gf opted for a rosé sangria to go with her NY strip, sautéed veggies and twice baked potato. I chose a rather strong watermelon cosmo to go with my 24 oz (secret menu) prime rib which came with onion straws and a twice baked potato. We also shared a ceasar salad and bacon wrapped scallops. The scallops were sooo good. So lemony and cooked really well.
Our waiter checked up on us maybe once throughout the entire meal? So again, that was kinda disappointing. We tipped him very well still because I appreciate that the Keg doesn't charge auto-gratuity. But the tips really should've gone to the waitress who helped us out at the beginning.
Anyways, if not for the service this review would've been 5 stars like most Keg experiences.
P.S. prices are ever so slightly inflated here compared to the Keg near me back home (I think because it's a tourist area and also the prime location of the resto inside a hotel next to the falls).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 1 - Thomas T.Imperial, United States4112109Jan 28, 2024
3.9 stars?!?! Don't let the BS karen reviews deter you this place is fantastic and deserving of 5. Made a same day reservation for 2 showed up about 20min early and was seated right away. Not only seated right away but to a fantastic Fallsview table. Service was great and the food was amazing. My 2nd time visiting a keg franchise and have yet to be the slightest disappointed. All great people providing great experiences. Oh yeah, the tab with drinks was like $89usd after tip for 2 people. Great valve we can't wait to get back!

FIRST CLASS - start to finish!
Want an exceptional experience? The Keg at the falls is for you! The ambiance is upscale and the wait staff are attentive. We started out with salads and calamari. The vinegarette was overpowering but tolerable. The calamari came with a spicy Asian sauce which was a great pair. The bread was hot, fresh and tasty. The main events were blackened chicken, prime, and filet mignon. All were cooked perfectly. The prime and filet were tender, tasty and filling. So full and content. Great view of falls from some of the seats.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 26219870Jun 26, 2023
Good, service and view of the falls were all amazing! The best steak I've had in a long time. Flavorful, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Had mashed cauliflower for the first time and fell in love with it!

Liza and I enjoyed a couple of days at the Embassy Suites Fallsview, where this Keg Steakhouse location is housed. You'll find the bar & restaurant on the 9th floor, and the dining room does have a fantastic view of the falls. It seemed like the perfect choice after a long day of sightseeing.
The 4 stars (rather than 5) is strictly due to the atmosphere. Yes, I mentioned the fantastic view, but that comes with an absolute carnival like surroundings. This place is obviously popular and in demand because it was packed with people constantly flowing in and out. The corridors are tight in some places, and the acoustics of the one large dining room make it impossible to hear over all the table talk and commotion. Because this is a hotel restaurant, there are also many, many families carting in strollers with small children. For us, sitting next to each other at a small two top, it was tough to hear each other. Luckily, we were able to get reseated out in the entry bar area room where it was quieter.
Once we got situated in a more comfortable situation, the remainder of the evening was fab. Nice wine selection, absolutely attentive service, and food cooked to perfection. I loved that they understood how to serve a rare filet while still getting a nice outside crust. My garlic mashed potatoes were plentiful and tasty. Liza also enjoyed a filet but couldn't get over the flavorful monster asparagus. We ordered a chocolate cake to go, which we enjoyed back in the room. Cudos for the server making sure we received cutlery to go with it.
So in conclusion, I'm not sure you're going to get that romantic dinner they show in the advertising pictures. But you will get a great meal with service to match.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0
