This establishment is one of the better places in downtown for a more quiet, adult conversation compared to the rowdier places on most of George Street. The ambience is great, with a very dark colour scheme pricked with little lights scattered through the bar.
Decent selection of wine and cocktails as well as beer. Not necessarily pretentious, but a little bit classier than other local venues, and someplace where you stand a better chance of being able to hear your conversation partners. I enjoy dropping in, and would be inclined to use it as a "first date" location for drinks, given the intimacy of the setting.
