re: Main Street Location.
A store filled with very high quality toys. It's one of those places that you really get what you pay for and with a very very very good selection for all price ranges. (eg. you can get a builiding blocks sorta tool set for $18 but you can also get an eco-friendly set for $40) Depends on what you are looking for.
They even have a little section for the littly tiny $1 or $2 toys. Lots of lego!
Really good place if you are a last minute shopper and you need a good present for ages zero - 13.. buy a gift bag and they wrap it all nice and pretty for you. The staff there have been so great showing us new toys and with awesome recommendations. And they definitely don't skimp on the tissue paper! --which we saved to rewrap other gifts of course!
what a wonderland of great toys and games. A family favorite for us and much less cold then say a Toy'sRUs which has it's place but it's just so much more fun here. It brings out the inner child in all of us and I has a great selection of toys. Other yelpers have mentioned the quality of the toys and I agree, most everything seems to be quite high quality. Be prepared to spend a few dollars.
Granville Island Toy Company carries games, puzzles, costumes, Legos, and Playmobil. I haven't wanted to play with toys in 20+ years, that is until I came to this toy store. Granville Island Toy Company also carries eco-friendly toys. I saw some tea cups made from recycled milk jugs! How cool is that?

This store, which also has a location at 3298 Main Street, is an excellent toy store for so many reasons. It is a more intelligent toy store than its big box equivalent in that everything that is here seems to be well-chosen with kids and parents in mind. You will not, for example, find toy guns or hideous everything-in-pink girly type toys. Moreover, I didn't notice anything here that was really just advertising for a t.v. show or movie. What they do have here are plenty of well-made toys and games for real kids who want to jump rope, build train sets, make crafts or learn about dinosaurs. There are also plenty of board games for the older crowd. So, if you have a child in mind, come here before going anywhere else; you'll be glad you did.
