The Grainery gets a strong five. Here you will find local and organic grains, nuts, seeds, beans, local jams and jellies and much more.

This really is a business of the heart, it is all done on a volunteer basis.
People helping others have access to such fine food, run as a co-op.

    Support this fine establishment!

This is a fantastic little spot to support our own. The Grainery is a co-op, so everyone involved is strictly volunteer based. The woman I spoke to was helpful in relaying their focus, and provided a charismatic energy to my visit. I discovered that prices are marked up only slightly, as the organization is non-profit and the co-op is just looking to pay rent every month. With such genuine intentions, its a spot to support.

Besides its wide range of grains, the co-op offers pasta, dried fruit, nuts, jams and honey, chocolate, and frozen foods from treats to bread and waffles. There are even organic cleaning supplies towards the back! Its an abundant little spot with a strong backing of locals. And this goes without saying, but all of The Grainery's supply is of the local and organically made origin.

While I can't do grains so much, I'll be back for the Raw Chocolate and other treats. Its a collective of people making the extra effort to provide the community with goods. A worthy trip-- food coming from a good place with the intentions to match.

This little coop is amazing! All sorts of pasta and grains that are certified organic.

I was initially drawn into the coop by their monday and sunday hours of availability: 'open by chance.' -what's not to love about that? 'The grainery' supports other local initiatives and NGO's as well which is reason enough to support them! No pesticides have touched the goods you're apt to find at 'The Grainery,' so stop on by!
