Awesome! I'm an experienced pole dancer and I went here for a friend's birthday for "Rockin' Pole".
We had Amy Henderson (Miss Texas Pole Star 2011) as our instructor and she was -wonderful-. Very funny and concise with her instructions.
The poles are stainless steel- but very "worn in", (which is a good thing, if you don't know) They're also platinum stages, which I never really see in studios, but they're my preference. They're a little too close together so you kind of have to trade off with extended spins.
Rockin Pole is an hour and a half for 25$ which is amazing. The warmup is one of the best and most thorough that I've ever had, and I've experienced a LOT of great warmups. I think it was like 30 minutes or something- and I was HOT by the end of it.
I would have given a star off for the studio being small/poles close together, but Amy was so great that I had to just add an extra one. -

I've taken about a dozen classes here and I've enjoyed the majority of them. Deseree is an awesome instructor. She's very organized, too, which is refreshing. Amy Henderson is also a fantastic instructor, and a powerhouse of a performer. I like that the element of sexy is always present in TGR's curriculum. I pole dance because it's sexy, not just because I want to buff up (though that is a bonus). TGR does a great job of balancing out the two.
The poles are superb. I believe they're 50mm Platinum Stages extreme 1-piece superpoles (with spin capability). I'm not sure how tall they are, but I'm guessing at least 12 ft, maybe more. This is definitely the place to come if you want to work on climbing.
My two complaints are the size of the studio and the clientele. I realize it is common for pole studios to be cramped, but smacking into the person next to you is INEVITABLE here. That means full leg extensions and reverse grabs are pretty much out of the question, unless you don't care about being courteous to your neighbor. Also, there are only 9 poles in the studio, so classes fill up fast and sometimes you end up having to share. The clientele varies greatly from class to class, but strangely, I've found everyone to be generally unfriendly. Very clique-y. I suppose it depends on how frequently you attend classes.
In the end, the clientele doesn't matter much if you are coming to learn... but personally, I've found a supportive and embracing community to be a big plus. -

Ladies the girls room is a great place to empower yourself and obtain all of your fitness goals... Deseree, Karyn and Amy are great instructors and offer a lot of nutritional information to assist you in obtaining your goals!!!

I absolutely LOVE The Girls Room Irving!!!! I first heard about The Girls Room through a special they had on Groupon. I definitely didn't know what to expect at first but I definitely LOVE it now. The instructors are great andI leave each class mentally and physically empowered. They try to learn the name of each person attending and they make you feel very welcomed. Hopefully I will get a chance to go to the other locations really soon.
