My wife and I recently found this local winery during one of our trips. We heard of it before and decided to drop in an see what it was all about.
We were surprisingly amazed on the variety of wines offered and the strength of their product line. They make their fruit wines on-site and have received a number of gold medals for some of their wines. We bought a couple of their strawberry dinner wines (Pick Me and Try Me). Both of these wines are an excellent and I would have no problem recommending them, I also really like their Cranberry Wine (Might Fraser). -

As you know from other reviews I am a fan of the wine in many forms. The Fort Wine Company is another fruit vintage winery and it's heaven. Although the Blueberry here isn't as good as the one at Wellbrook. The Strawberry is something to be desired. The store is quaint and country kitsch.
If you need a good wine for a picnic (not that I have ever been on one lol) or a night in BSing on Yelp, this is a place to go :)! -

The drive out here is so beautiful and is the perfect lead up to a beautiful time at Fort Wine Company. Out in the back 40, you'll see fields upon more fields (many filled with berry bushes) behind the cute little home that the Fort Wine is presented in. Tyler and I went there, sampled oodles of gorgeous crisp fruit wines and then sat outside on their patio to enjoy one of their chaceuterie platters. The setting, the olives, cheese and wine made for a stunning afternoon, with highlights of eavesdropping on cougars talk about dating guys their sons age. Awesome. I regrettably didn't take notes. The other highlight? Recognizing the lead singer from Hot Hot Heat doing tastings next to me. That head of curly hair is the biggest tell ever!
Fort Wine's labels alone are so cute they make me melt. The wine itself is great.
Try it. You'll like it... and if you don't, give your wine to me! Mwahahaha. -

Went back to the winery again today, and they've got a good line-up going again! They've also updated the labels and packaging, and I think it's a definite improvement. They still have lunches available, and this would be a great place to stop and have a bite with some wines. They also seem to have changed their tasting rules and no longer make you pick a few wines off the list.
The wines are good, particularly the dessert wines, and they've added a few really good flavors. The shop itself is very nice and cosy, with a lot of local products. I also liked that they've added some half bottles of their table wines, which is nice for those that want to take it for a road test before getting the bigger bottles.
Very good place to visit, and the really nice thing about their wines is that they all taste like the fruit they come from - not a "hint of raspberry", but fresh raspberry.Listed in: Valley Wineries

I've had both great staff and slightly crabby staff here, but overall it's a great place to visit to try something new. It's quite a trek from the other wineries around, but it's worth it.
I had people sampling their blackberry dessert wine at a fundraiser and it was very well received. I personally like their non-cranberry wines best, even though I am a huge cranberry fan. I find the cranberry wine good, and interesting, I just don't think I could sit and drink a couple galsses, which makes it hard to consume between two people. Save it for a picnic with friends. Their dessert wines are great and not too sweet, though.
They do wine and cheese parties which look like a lot of fun, and the shop is super cute.
They sell bulk cranberries which brought me into this shop over a year and a half ago. The cranberries are excellent and are a great price at $2 a lb, I think. Great for making homemade preserves. Be warned, a wine box full is approximately 24 lbs. You probably don't need this many. I know I didn't. Ooops. -

This place is so cool! I just love the Fort Winery. They have lovely wines, and the fruit vintages are just exceptional. Their store is beautiful and very clean and inviting. If you have friends from out of town, this is a must do destination for wine tasting and to buy some local wine.
