Didn't spend enough time here to eat/drink to say too much? But we had a pitcher of Amsterdam and some fries .... it was good! Good atmosphere, they have stand up comedy and other stuff in the other room. So we'll be back again! It was super busy when we went .. but the staff was still attentive and friendly. Good neighbourhood joint for us since we live kind of close.

    This is brand, spankin new!

It opened on St.Patrick`s day and is still going on strong.  As one of the owners, Maggie Cassell exclaimed,  before bringing out the performer on Saturday night, ``we are new and are still working out the kinks.` But she also insisted, they wanted to make your experience as good as possible and were more than willing to listen to the customers.  A very good sign!

This serves as an option for lesbians searching for that ever eternal dream of having The Planet for real. LOL.  It`s not at all like that here. It`s a pubaret!   Built with a dual purpose. One side, where you can dine and drink. The other half, housing their dance floor and show stage.

Oh, on the way into the establishment, be warned that on your right is a door that opens outwards for the washrooms.  I almost got winged by the door walking in.

They offer a brunch menu as well as a regular menu with things like burgers, fries, nachos etc.   I did not try anything on their menu but it looked fairly reasonable in price. If you are eating a pub, well, I generally am not expecting a culinary experience.

It`s got a great vibe and yes, tends to have an older crowd than Slack`s.

    This place has great potential!

You can find them on Facebook!

Yum!  We stopped in tonight for a bite to eat, and had a great meal.  The staff was very friendly.  The jerk chicken with black bean rice and plantains was great, but huge!  I could have used just half (but my husband ate the other half of my chicken, so no loss). =)  Next time I'm staying for dessert.

Lots of lovely looking lesbians, and an environment that my partner and I didn't feel unwelcome in or anything - like most things, I think the attitude you bring in reflects what you get back, and everyone there was really nice to us.  Great service, real pineapple juice (yay!), and yet another excellent place that we're going to return to often.  I'm interested in seeing the cabaret part sometime later when we're not just in for food. =)

Went by on their opening night...

There's still work going on in the place but from what I saw, I liked!  The owners are awesome and very hospitable... The place was busy with lots of friends and family.  It helped that it was also St. Patty's day to drive crowds in.

I didn't get to try the food as I was popping in to see the space but will definitely return to check it out again and do another review...

My friends and I love the pubaret with its cozy neighbour hood bar feel, good food, with great entertainment from near and far.  Maggie is a friendly, comedian/hostess for the shows and Heather has been very accommodating with special requests from the kitchen or bar. One of my friends is still dating someone she meet at Match Fever. A special place for Luscious Lesbians to hang out.
