We headed to this place after finding out that the Smuggler's Jug (how cool a name is that?!) only served food from 5-9 p.m.  This place would be one that I would classify as a dive, but it wasn't a very good dive.  The waitress was really sweet - new at the job, young, all thumbs, but very eager to please.  Unfortunately, the food was pretty bland.  The clam chowder was watery, the eggroll, as you can see from the picture, tasted about as good as it looked.  I guess that's what I get when I order an eggroll at a place called The Farmer & The Fisherman.  The salad contained fresh veggies, but used iceberg lettuce and the veggies were cut into different sizes.  I had some normal slices of cucumber and tomato and then I'd find a huge chunk - it's the kind of cutting job that I would do at home.  The lightly battered halibut was overcooked and bland.  Thank goodness for the tartar sauce (just Kraft, not even restaurant-made).  The vegetables were bland and overcooked.  This was my most disappointing meal on the Island.
