    I love this place.

Farm on Adderley embodies exactly how I like to feel on the weekend: relaxed, breezy, stylish but not with too much effort. Lots of light comes into this restaurant, particularly in the back seating area. Its a really nice place to be during early/late afternoon brunch.

AND the food is always delicious. I usually have the Red Flannel Hash for brunch. I love beets in any meal, and they work amazing in this dish. This dish has a great balance of veggies and protein. I can never not eat this entire dish. The farmers breakfast is also great.

For dinner I've had the poached farm egg with quinoa and the farm burger. Both were great, the beef used in the burger is truly delicious.

I cant find the name of the dessert that I had here once, but it was this golden colored warm cake that was INSANE. so f'ing tasty.

Came here for a wedding reception and I was surprised to see that the restaurant was still running business as usual. We were a group of around 35-40 people seated in the back. Because we were such a big crowd all ordering brunch, service was a tad slow but I can understand why.

The restaurant itself is very quaint and airy - definitely a great spot for brunch. My only hesitation was that there was a bug in my poached egg w/ hollandaise sauce. After that, I decided not to eat my dish as it will just leave a bad taste/feeling in my mouth.Otherwise, everything was good up to that point.

came here for brunch.  oddly enough i enjoyed the sides more than my meal... my friends toast was awesome tho!  so maybe next time i'll get the french toast.  3 stars bc the service was so spotty...  & that's being generous.

    French dip = okay
French fries = really liked their curry dip!  fries were great too!
broccoli side = sooooo good (how random, right??)
    grapefruit soda = super refreshing!

my friend got some egg, sausage & toast.

FYI, very small menu.  which i actually prefer~ but, i know most ppl don't enjoy that.  i hate making decisions tho lol.  so, this was great for me.

This place is great. The ingredients are fresh, the waitstaff is helpful and smart, and the value is good. We ordered two sides (kale salad and roasted broccoli rabe) and meatballs. All were delicious and it was plenty for two.

Every dish on the brunch menu is something I've had a thousand times before - reads really well, tastes really average.  That said, you can't beat sitting outside on a pleasant, sunny Sunday and the service is casual, not at all bothersome & feel happy to linger there for a good portion of the day.

The food can be rather sloppily composed and like everything just gets put on the plate with too much comingling, eg lettuce become limp and wan from being plated on top of sauce instead of separated. Also many things are too uncomposed so you think you're getting a traditional benedict and it turns out to be a newfangled recreation.  Stick to the basics (grits!) and just remember to not get hopes too high.  Come for the relaxation, stay for a bloody.

The first time I had brunch here I thought it was barely average, but I decided I just must have hit it on an off day or ordered the wrong thing. So to be fair, I went back.
Basically I think the restaurant & menu look good on paper, but when it comes to the execution the food at my corner diner is way better.

To start with, our toast, our eggs, our potatoes, the sausage, all were room temperature -- and not in a good way. It tastes & looks like everything is made hours (days?) in advance, left to sit out for hours, and then plated as orders come in.  My farmer's breakfast had swiss chard that was still sandy, I don't have to tell you how awful biting in to sandy greens can be. The only warm thing we were served was the grits, and they were good. Even the salad we got was limp & lifeless.  Like I said, sounds good on the menu and their combinations are refreshing and original -- but nothing is quite right.

If that food was served at a typical diner I think there would be a lot of complaints but for some reason people seem to just eat it up. I

I took a friend out to lunch at the Farm yesterday. We were seated right away but it took at least 30 minutes for someone to take our order.  We both ordered cheeseburgers and we both specifically stated no onions (which the waitress wrote down).  When the food was delivered my burger was smothered in onions.  I know most people like them but  I can't tolerate them.  Consequently, they were removed from my plate.
After we finished eating I asked for the bill.  It was promptly brought to me.  It totaled $32.66.  I handed the waitress a $50.00 bill and asked for change.  My change should have been $17.34.  She brought back $12.00.  I asked her to come over and showed her the bill and my change.  She said, Oh, I owe you $5.00.  I said, "Actually, you owe me $5.34".  She said, Oh, we don't make change, we round up or down. REALLY???????
I know it's only 34 cents, but the principle is all wrong.  I looked at her and she told me that it's just the way it is and they don't make change.  But they certainly benefit  by this practice if the patrons  get shortchanged all around.
No one I know has heard of a restaurant doing this (many of my friends own restaurants in Brooklyn).
Well, guess what?  I don't tip in a place like that won't make change (and I always tip 20%).
If they don't want to make change they should price every thing at an even dollar amount.

I had brunch at this cute spot when I was in NY and I really enjoyed my food. The quality and freshness of the ingredients was on point! I was there for brunch. It was reasonably priced and the atmosphere was casual and fun. I had the Farmer's breakfast and yummm!! I never had swiss chard in my eggs, but me likes a lot after that! Great toast- toast is a big deal!! The bloody mary was delicious. The right amount of everything! As far as the service..."you guys...ugh, so great!" The staff is super friendly and helpful. I loved that everyone there was happy and having fun working. I sat right in front of the window looking inside the kitchen and the cooks were focused and working very hard for the brunch crowd! I will definitely go back to this place and try out some of their other menu items!

I've always wanted to come here for brunch but heard that it's a long wait. So I decided to come here for dinner instead - last minute on a rainy Wed and luckily didn't have to wait.

I can't recall what I had for appetizer, it was a special for the day... It was just okay.

I ordered Pan seared fluke as my entree and it was good, I love that it sits on a bed of spinach so it's a perfect balance. My friend ordered steak and said it was ok. We also ordered an apple crumb for dessert and it was way too sweet. The first few bites were good but I was done after that.

I'll come back again and try their brunch.

The Farm is one of those restaurants that falls between a 3.5 and a 4. The food is good but not the best. We split a burger that was good but lacked the taste of some of the other burgers we have tried that cost less. We also split a delicious bibb salad that was built with enjoye, pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries and tasty goat cheese fritters and very much enjoyed their exceptional organic coffee. Also of note were their excellent fries.

They unfortunately closed the backyard due to the threat of rain and thus the wait on a Saturday was about 1/2 hour at 2:00 PM.

What brought the rating from a 3.5 to a 4 was the attentive service. When our medium burger was delivered rare (which I love, so I kept my half) the waiter was apologetic and took it right back.  They also kept our water glasses full and did not rush us out which was a definite plus.

Farm egg sandwich and grits were just as awesome as my first visit.  Portobello sandwich had good flavor, but the mushroom's texture was strange - limp & sort of slimy.

Almost like deja vu, service was great up until the time we were ready for our check.  It took multiple requests and literally more than 20 minutes to finally get it.

Sit at the bar for Sunday brunch.  Order a bloody mary or 4.  Get the red flannel hash and then add an extra egg on top of it and then share an order of french fries with your friend.  Tell a joke to the very friendly bartender.  Finish your meal with a cup of coffee and the chocolate brioche.  Grab a plastic farm animal from the hostess stand on your way out.

We came here after playing soccer.  We were starving for some great eats and we were not disappointed.

There was a half hour wait so we sat at the bar and had impeccable service.  Our takeaway was that we LOVED their bloody mary's - they contained the freshest pickles ever.

The food was good: I had the Fisherman's eggs, which were made perfectly, my friend had the omelet -- she asked to incorporate some veggies in it, but they aren't able to modify.  We ordered the fries as well and were quite pleased.

Went at 2pm for late luch/tea and the food came fast! Cosy and delicious, with a wonderful atmosphere that is inviting and vintage-y. The chocolate bread with sea salt is really delicious and interesting to taste and their salads are mixed very well. A bit pricey butter food and decor is worth the money.

Very nice brunch with large group. The large table is in the front window separated from the rest of the restaurant by the bar so it feels private yet lively. The food was very good although not spectacular, say a 1/2 step behind Buttermilk Channel. The service was attentive although the waiter seemed a little odd, not in any functional way but aesthetically maybe. Overall, very enjoyable meal.

Another nice thing is that we were able to make a reservation because our group was so large.

I love this place.  I've only had good experiences here.   It's more of a special occasion kind of restaurant for us because of the prices, but it manages to be relaxed and peaceful even when they're extremely busy and I always feel lucky to be able to be there at all.  It's also one of the more adaptable places I can think of in terms of the experiences you can have....I've been there early in the evening with my kid when it's the young family crowd and later in the evening for just drinks and dessert with friends.  That's hard to find, I think, and the staff is always cool.  I appreciate that.

Arrived shortly after 12 PM and there was no wait for Saturday brunch.  The interior is earthy and comfortable and they have a great garden in the back.  All the guests in my party very much enjoyed their dishes.  We tried the french toast (great flavors of apple cinnamon, although a bit mushy for my taste), the cheese grits (flavorful, but a lil runny), and the house-made sausage (great).  Agree that the home-fries are good, but they should put more on the plate.  Service was great, food arrived quickly.  This place is not cheap, but not too pricey.  We saved money by not buying booze.  If you want your taste buds to burst, then this is a good spot for brunch, but if you care more about mimosas and bloody ms, I'd go elsewhere.

    Came for breakfast.

Sausage and Eggs- Their sausages are made in the restaurant. I liked it, but the texture was weird to me. Eggs were good, but their potatoes were great. I love a restaurant that makes great home fries. :)

Handcut Fries w/ Curry Mayo- Friends loved it, but I thought it was just meh. Curry mayo was too sweet, needs a little more salt. Fries came out lukewarm. Still good, but I wish they were flaming hot. However, after my day went on, I couldn't help but crave for more of that curry mayo and those fries...

Toast w / Goat Butter & Maple Sugar- They ran out of chocolate bread, so we got this instead. It was still good, but we were really looking forward to chocolate bread. ):

Tuna on Country Bread- Both friends loved it, and was definitely filling. I don't know how it tasted, as I detest tuna. But it sure did look good!

French Dip- Friend also loved it, but when i took a bite of her sandwich, I couldn't really taste the jus. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Mile End's French Dip...

Very quaint decor; They serve water using wine bottles. The waiters/waitresses were very helpful and polite. They have a backyard patio that I assume is open during the summer. We were seated in the back, and the sunlight pouring out through the glass door lit up the whole place.

Definitely put you in a happy mood if you're not a morning person. Very cozy setting, and I love the exposed brick wall and paintings. I guess that's why it's called The Farm On Adderley. Reminded me of the time I spent in Oklahoma and the fresh, wholesome breakfasts I had. Definitely coming back!

This Place is a gem. I don't get out to restaurants as much as i would like but this is a wonderful excuse to go out. The food amazing and the service was great. The staff is quite knowledgeable about the food and beer sections and will give you a full report of where your grits or goat butter toast came from.

I stopped in after a bike trip to prospect park. I googled healthy restaurants in the area, and it was one of the first to pop up. I almost passed it, with the minimal yet well designed signage.

Been a bunch of times, mostly for brunch, and I really like this place.  It has become a go-to of sorts.  The brunch options are better and more diverse than those at dinner, at least for my tastes.  I think I'm giving it four stars for the cheese grits alone, but the open-faced ham, gruyere, and egg sandwich is also pretty outrageous, as is the country breakfast, and other sides like the chocolate brioche.

As others have said, you need to time your brunch visits well (i.e., earlier or later than the hordes), because otherwise the wait will be tough.

I've only been here once for dinner, but considering how absolutely delicious it was and it's just a short walk from my place, I will definitely be back.

Went here for dinner on a Friday night around 9p and got a table (for two) right away.  The place looked comfortably busy and service was on-point.

The bread they brought out was SO GOOD!  I would order just that to-go if I could.

We both ordered the cheeseburger ($18) which was a bit on the pricey side but was also SO GOOD! The cheese was great, the burger (perfectly medium rare) tasted super delicious! I'm a fan of the english muffin bun that seems to be everywhere nowadays.

I was really surprised by the home-made fries as I am very very picky about my french fries - but these were great.  In particular I loved the curry-mustard they served with everything.  Put some on your burger! Eat it with your fries! I am definitely going to try to recreate it at home.

Good beer selection, absolutely delicious food, I can't wait to go back!

    RIDICULOUSLY DELICIOUS!

My husband and I ate here the other night before walking over to Sycamore for a beer and show.  Just thought we were going to get a cute, decent meal but didn't realize it was going to be this phenomenal.

    ENTREE:
It seems others around us were getting the simpler faire; burgers, fries, veggies, etc.  We went for the two fish dishes; the Fluke and Artic Char.  Both were very good but the Fluke was incredible!  It was seasoned heavily with ground cumin, both on the fish and its sides; cumin/pickled carrots and this amazingly delicious wilted spinach (seriously some of my favorite spinach ever.

    DESERT:
So we were stuffed but its one of those places that's so good that you just assume they have amazing deserts.  Indeed they do!  We got the chocolate upside down banana cake with coconut ice cream.  Just delicious.

Seriously one of our new favorite places in the city (our other fav is Peasant)

This place is one of the reasons I moved to the neighborhood.

Many of the items on the menu are sourced from local farms, so everything is fresh and delicious.  I'm more of a fan of the brunch menu -- we usually go every Sunday.  My favorite is the red flannel hash with a side of the chocolate brioche.  The staff is super friendly, and  the ambiance is adorable.

Since this place is really popular, be prepared to wait unless you beat the crowd right when they open their doors.  If you're stuck waiting, you can give the host/ hostess your cell and wander around Cortelyou Rd until your table is ready.  Sometimes we get coffee next door at Qathra.

Dinner here is more on the fancy side. My favorite was the pork meatball entree with swiss chard, hazelnuts, and parsnips.  I was feeling risky once and ordered the poached farm egg entree and was kind of disappointed.  Everything else has been great.

They've also got a nice cocktail menu -- I'm a fan of the bloody marys or mimosas.

The outdoor seating area is nice -- wooden benches and chirping birds.  Swoon.

My only complaint about the Farm is I wish they would switch up the menu from time to time, but other than that this place is lovely.

Doesn't get better than this! The only vice is that this restaurant is nowhere near my neighborhood. Booo! This spot was recommended to me by my cousin who came here for brunch and couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was. I also happen to love the fact that the food is organic and they get their things from local farms. Big thumbs up to that and big thumbs up to the fact that I don't have to worry that I'm putting anything in my mouth that is filled with preservatives and can possibly be harmful to me. It's a good feeling when you can trust the restaurant to serve you good, healthy food.

On a Monday night this place was buzzing with energy. And fortunately despite all the filled seats we were able to get a table for 4 without waiting!!! The menu was filled with all kind of delicious options and I wanted to try EVERYTHING. I was also super excited because the food was actually HEALTHY!! Since there was 4 of us and we like to eat BIG, I'm not going to go into detail about what everyone got but I will say that my Kale and Lentil soup was AMAZING (super flavorful with a little hint of smokiness) and so were all the salads we shared. Mmm. Mouthwatering.

My boo's pork chop special was off-the-chain and was packed with flavor. I even ended up sucking the left over bone dry! A little embarrassing, but it was THAT delicious. My cousin's steak was heavenly - nice and juicy and high quality meat. And my own plate was tasty as ever and that's a compliment for a healthy dose of Quinoa that could be pretty bland at times.

The service was also right on point and I couldn't ask for better. I'm a happy gal and I will DEF be back for brunch!

Completely and simply satisfying, go here!

I've been to Farm for both dinner & brunch and enjoyed my experiences there immensely.  The food is just simply GOOD, the atmosphere cozy and unpretentious.  The scrambled eggs were very flavorful, no salt or ketchup needed and the sausage is to die for.  For dinner I've had their burger with cheddar cheese, it was incredibly juicy (and huge), the english muffin melts in your mouth.  We also had flatbread with ricotta and house cured bresaola--again, a winner.  Everything here is made with love and mostly in-house---and it shows!

I highly recommend visiting the Farm.

i really enjoy the food here. it tastes fresh and the portions, in my opinion, are perfect. ive tried several of the brunch items and have never been disappointed.  i would definitely recommend the chocolate bread and the red flannel hash (for those who also enjoy beets) and brownie points because they are really good at cooking their eggs!

the service at the farm is nothing special.. which would usually bring me to rate a restaurant at 4stars but 2 specific incidents have me rate it at a 3. if youre interested enough to read on heres what happened...

    1. the farm is a small space and with people crowding in for weekend brunch, its uncomfortable to wait around inside after putting a reservation down. therefore it makes most sense to wait outside (no?) but i have learned that if youre hungry and want a table DONT GO OUTSIDE! they will not come and find you, especially if you are a small party- on more than one occasion have i lost my spot for not waiting inside. and when youre hungry and have not had coffee it can be really aggravating. so my advice is- put your name down and try to stay in the hostesses view (i know no one wants to be that person, crowding and in the way but its just how it is at the farm...)

    2. im not too much of a stickler on service but this incident did surprise me a bit... as i was enjoying brunch the table next to me called the waitress over to show her the little surprise in their salad... drum roll please... it was a screw... the waitress dumbfounded, asked if they would like a new salad.  the party at the table said it was fine and just continued on with their meal. ok- so things like this happen im sure their salad was fine. but usually when something like this comes up i atleast expect the manager or someone to come out and talk to them make sure everything else was fine etc. is that wrong of me to expect that? but no nothing... even with water and coffee service they were struggling for attention like the rest of us.

What better way to conclude house hunting on St Patrick's Day, than with a nice pint of stout and a heart brunch. Boy has this area changed for the better! I remember hearing stories, my brother in law told me about having to run home from the subway. Now, Cortelyou is starting to look like a baby Wiliamsburg. So may fine eating establishments, with this being one!
Very nondescript from the outside, and fairly small on the inside, however, they really do have a good layout which contributes to a good flow. While I didn't get to note all the fine spirits they serve, I did notice a very wide selection of bourbons, whiskeys and rye, all of which looked to be small batch and or local. They also have a great micro brew selection with plenty of hearty ales.
The menu selection is manageable and has some great choices, like the home made sausage and eggs, the crunchy beet salad and the chocolate toast (do not miss this one) The servers are both friendly and knowledgeable and they have a great out door area in the back.
Get there early as this place gets packed!

Service was rude(tragically-hip waiter couldn't give a shit), $7- 2 oz. portion of brussel sprouts, $7 side of fries...really?  No thanks. I'll walk down thw street...

Wow, what a great find!  I came here for a leisurely weekend brunch and was thoroughly impressed.  It happened to be a particularly gorgeous day, so the restaurant's outdoor seating area was open and packed with boozy brunchers.  I started off with a bloody mary (tasty and just the right amount of booze) and enjoyed the crispy beet salad for my entree.  It sounded so simple, but the ingredients were extremely fresh.  The chocolate toast is also fantastic.  The service was impeccable.  There it is.  Short and sweet.  If you're in the area, The Farm on Adderley is definitely worth a try.

Just wanted to state again that this place is awesome!
I have been there for brunch and dinner.  All of the visits were enjoyable, it might get a little crazy on the weekends but the food is worth the wait.
The staff is very nice and knowledgeable.

Let me get this out of the way first... The chocolate brioche is EVERY. SINGLE. THING! Warm, chewy bread with ooey gooey chocolate sauce and a hint of saltiness. It was worth every extra bit of my workout that evening. Thanks for the tip fellow Yelpers.

I met a friend here for a late breakfast (12:30pm) during the week and was truly delighted with the service and the food. I ordered the mushroom & onion omelette. Delicious! My friend had the poached eggs and grits, and we shared a side of bacon. Considering that both of our plates shamefully appeared to be licked clean when we were done, I'll say her meal was just as tasty as mine. I'm also like Goldilocks when it comes to how I like my bacon prepared - not too soft, not too crispy, but just right. I can't wait to come back and try something else.

Vibe= Rustic, Food= Awesome! I came for brunch during a dreary Wednesday so I'm not sure how bad the weekend crowd is but if they're coming to eat the same food I experienced this place MUST be crowded. I def will be back to try the lunch and dinner menus.

I read so many good reviews and waited couple of months before finally getting my butt to this location.

I was gleeing with happiness and excitement but once I saw the brunch menu, I was like "that's it." I was slightly disappointed with the food but the french toast with apples was good.

I cant say I will be back. The menu is limited and it is out of my way.

I've been here a few times for brunch - if others are willing to make the trek then its always a winner.  Great coffee, egg dishes, fresh veggies - no matter what you order you'll be happy.  Ambiance is nice, aesthetically pleasing, call ahead and get the bigger table by the back window for a group if you can.  Staff is more of a 4 star, but it's overall still a 5.

Take a walk through the nearby neighborhood as well - it is a pleasant change from the concrete corridors of the city.

Great brunch place! Don't get intimidated by the long lines. The wait is usually 30mins or less, even for Sat/Sun brunch. Great atmosphere, love the garden, really family friendly. Service is really fast and they never rush you.

    Recommend:
the hummus and bread plate- really fresh. def favorite dish so far.
Fisherman's - pretty good but thought the trout was lost among the other flavors
eggs and grits - surprisingly light for grits
    fresh toast w/ apples

    Adult grilled cheese was average.

My friends took me to this restaurant Saturday night where we were delighted by earth-friendly dishes, each and every one was delicious. Everything vegetarian  on the menu looked wonderful so I asked the waiter to recommend one, which he did: the hâché. After the butternut crostini, and a Bibb salad, and a side of fries which we all split, I could only make it through half of my entrée. There were two burgers at the table, both of which were thoroughly enjoyed by my friends, as well as an order of fluke. We were all thrilled to have left overs to savor after.

The service was great. The ambiance & decor were very comfortable. I'd definitely recommend checking the place out.

We've been trying to visit different spots in Brooklyn and one place that we have been wanting to go was The Farm on Adderley.  We showed up for brunch Sunday morning and it had people lining up before it's 10:30AM opening.  I think it says 11:00AM opening on Yelp, but that's incorrect.

We sat down and I would say within 15 minutes, the place was packed and there were people on the waitlist.  However, don't fret, because due to the great service and quick turnaround on the tables, wait times are generally minimized.

I got the Fisherman's Eggs which was tasty.  I thought it was a bit heavy on the hollandaise, but the poached eggs were cooked right with the runny yolk.  My girlfriend got the french toast with apples.

We also got a side of bacon and a slice of chocolate bread.  Bacon was a bit under crispy for our taste.  Chocolate bread was awesome though.  Definitely get that!

I also got a coffee, which unfortunately was not refilled.

All in all, a great meal.  It was a tad pricey ($45 for two including tip).  The number of add-ons start piling up if you're not careful.
