The Fabulous Find has quality vintage products. Like its neighbours (ReFind and SpaceLab) the owner has an eye for his own particular style and there are tons of items in this tiny--yet tidy--space. A little out of my price range (as a student) but if you're looking for something in good condition, this is a great stop.
The 2 shops beside The Fabulous Find are also antiques/vintage. I was looking for a specific style of chair, and the owner of ReFind walked me over to the other stores and talked to the owners with me. -

Don't be discouraged by the price tags -- they're really not that bad in comparison to some other vintage furniture shops that shall remain nameless -- because there most definitely are finds to be found in this fine faboulousity (totally a word).
Every once in a blue moon I might just want to find me a fabulous preying mantis disguised as a Mid-century modern teak floor lamp, or some baby blue Eames chairs with matching 'sold' tags on them (because really, who would pass those babies up?). But most importantly, I can just peruse, drag my little fingers across the ridges of a Lotte and Gunnar Bostlund fiberglass shade, sit on a simple danish teak couch or chair and think of Don Draper, even though he's totally not my type. Typewriters though? Yes, and they have those too.
Bargaining is also accepted, as it should be. -

I heart heart heart this little shop! The Fabulous Find is one of the little known gems on Main St. The reason it may be little know is that its sorta far down the street away from the more popular shopping parts..but its defiantly worth walking the extra few blocks!
They specialize in Mid-Century Modern furnishings and home decor. All of which are vintage and the real deal. They always have a fresh collection of pieces which are usually in great shape..you get a good variety of furnishings..think Eames and Nielson..as well as great decor accessories like retro lamps and fun kitchen items that your Grandma probably still uses! ALSO they have a fantastic collection of retro travel bags...perfect for the hipsters of Main!
I am always pleasantly surprised by how great the service is...the owners are super friendly..chatty and informative..which is kinda rare in these types of shops...check out the website which you can order from if you are not in the Vancouver area or just want to check out their latest finds! -

What caught my eye? Lamp shades and purple swirl chairs - oh my! Oh the colours, and the tables, and the clock radios. Everything looked like it came from my grandparent's home circa 1960 (still hanging out way into the 80's) which is why I almost bought a salt and sugar (you read right!) shaker because my grandparent's had identical ones - but I refrained.
For such a small store it certainly has a lot to occupy the eyes! And with a totally changing selection of cool wares, sneaking a peak often is highly recommended! -

I love love love this store! It's filled with retro pieces made from awesome material like teak and groovy 60's glass. I saw heaps of lamps and lights that I liked and I was surprised that the prices weren't incredibly steep. There was a teak lamp (sans shade) for just $55 and a gorgeous, and very lage, teak shelving unit, which was only $1100.
The service at Fabulous Finds was very friendly and helpful. When I said I liked a piece of furniture that wasn't for sale the owner of the store gave me the business card of the place where I could find a similar piece.
If you want some unique and classic pieces, Fabulous Finds is the store for you. -

Bought a table here recently. Price was excellent. Service was good and they delivered for free to my door at the exact time they scheduled with me. Couldn't ask for more.
