I want to give Edge Diving Centre 5-stars not by the influence of the other 5-star ratings, but because I absolutely LOVE this shop. It's big, clean, and they they only carry brands that the owner deems to be the best on the market. Since they hold this standard, I've learned to trust their advice when it comes to purchasing equipment.
My first visit to the Edge Diving as for a random Edge Dive on Sunday with my local dive buddy. I found out that he is a loyal client after comparing all of the Vancouver dive shops and choosing this one as the best. I knew that I made a good choice. Since I am from Calgary, I called in advance to reserve rentals. When I got there, they greeted me with open arms, they made me feel like a part of the family, and were so good with making sure I had all the equipment I needed. The first wetsuit they let me try on fit perfectly. I was so happy that I didn't have to spend 30 minutes trying on wetsuits. They really know their stuff here. Another thing that I really liked about this place was the way the shop was laid out. Since this shop doesn't carry a bunch of crap, the retail area was clean, organized, and minimalist. They have a back room with all the rental equipment, washroom, etc. Behind the shop they have a hose, tub, and place to hang up your equipment to hose down then dry. The way they set up the shop is logical, efficient, and perfectly organized. I love it.
I signed up for a course in February, so I'll get to see what the classroom and pool is like. I'm also planning on doing another Edge Dive while I'm in town! SO EXCITED!

Great shop with great staff. They are clean, reliable and friendly. Put on great trips and every Sunday an Edge dive for people who don't have buddies or try to tag on to new groups.

Friendly staff, professional instruction, and flexibility give this place a heads-up. I have been to other dive shops which were cliquey and this place is not like that at all. They are always ready to order equipment in if requested and have a very good, flexible payment system. I like their range of products (Scubapro is my favourite brand). I also like the fact that they arrange dives on Sundays for those interested. There are store trips, locally (Hornby Island) and to more exotic locales. Best of all, they DON"T sell spearguns!

Fantastic place and always a pleasure to deal with. In all fairness, the prices are a little bit higher than you might find at other establishments, but the professionalism, cleanliness and the friendliness I consistently experience coming here makes up for it. This is my go-to dive shop.
