Alison (one of the owners) starting cutting my husband's hair years ago and I always liked the cut. I ended up going to her myself after having a terrible, too short hair cut. She "stretched" my hair ;-) by leaving the front longer and just neatening up the rest. I now have a great chin length bob.
Alison is a colour specialist as well. I have had compliments from my sisters who did not like it when I went blond. Now it is lighter with rich colour and brilliant streaks. It looks fantastic.
Alison is always updating her skills and techniques. She listens to what you have to say and is a very lovely person.
The.Dye.Lot also sells products at competitive rates. I always check out the shops that I sell for less. I used to buy everything there. But now I get my products from Alison because her prices are really good. She also carries some unique and terrific products.
I would highly recommend the shop. The woman that work there are all very nice and everyone wants to give you their best. -

I will definitely be coming back here! I've never had my hair dyed before and didn't know what to expect, so when I met with Cynthia for a consultation she helped me pick the best shade for my skin tone (I'm naturally a "ginger hybrid" as I call it) and made me feel really excited to make the change.
Yesterday I went in to get the cut and colour and I honestly couldn't be any happier with the end result! The atmosphere in The Dye Lot is friendly and laid-back, and Cynthia's just amazing. First of all, she gives the best head massage I've ever had, and second, she managed to give my hair curls that held all day long WITHOUT using any product (my hair has never held a curl, even with mountains of hairspray, for more than an hour). Granted, some of that may have been because my hair was just dyed, but still!

Christina (co-owner?) is awesome and everyone there is very fun. Great attitudes in a cool space with good tunes. I', a guy and have had my hair cut there for a while and my 10-yr old daughter recently had a cool experience with a feather addedto her do.
