When you have a pet store located right across the street from the Allan Gardens dog park, you'd assume you'd get a whole ton of business and have everyone bowing at your feet for choosing such a great local, but unfortunately for this place, it's not the case.

I'll still buy my dog's raw food from him, because it's cheap, he's honest about the brands and it's right there when i'm walking home. I'm not picky and I won't allow personal vendettas to get in the way. But unfortunately, the owner of this store has sort of a bad rep.

He's come into the park a few times while training (Yes, they have obedience training, grooming & a ton more) and he's been really pleasant with me. Mostly because my one dog he knows, seems to be in love with the one he's always training. But some people have has less than stellar situations. There's word that says he uses physical abuse in his training and on more than one situation has hit other people's dogs. Now, this is all hear-say to me, but I just figured you might want to know all the facts before you choose your trainer.

I'm going through one of the hardest moments of my life: my nine-year-old cat, who's living with my mom in Brazil, has kidney failure, and is going to die sooner or later, specially because my mom can't find his medication where she lives.

Knowing that the owner of this pet store has very old cats, I went there yesterday and explained my situation, and asked him a very simple favour: the contact of his veterinarian.

He was terribly rude and told me to look at the yellow pages, because "there are plenty of good veterinarians in Toronto". I explained the situation again, asked him to please help because my cat is going to die and I'm suffering, and he said that if I can't find the medication my cat has been prescribed, I should look for another veterinarian in Brazil who prescribes something my mom can find.

I left the store in tears. I was already sad and I didn't really need someone to treat me this way. I hope HE dies from kidney failure just to feel what my kitty is feeling right now. A man without feelings shouldn't be allowed to deal with pets.
