Review from Folland O.
Vancouver, BC
My fiancee and I stay at the Crystal Lodge every time we go to Whistler and we ALWAYS try to stay in room 331. It is a junior king suite, so a bit more expensive, but so worth it for the view and the balcony. If you don't want to spend any extra make sure you request to be in the new part of the building as it has recently been renovated and the suites are all gorgeous!
As previous Yelpers have mentioned, we were woken at 2am by the crowds on the stroll below but it didn't bother us. We just got up and watched all the drunkards stumble back home and try to pick up the few remaining women. It's a fabulous place to people watch! In the evenings before bed we like to count all of the bachelor/bachelorette parties haha
The staff is very friendly and gave lots of tips on where to eat, where to party and where to have fun during the day. In the hotel are a few delicious restaurants, a hair salon, a Starbucks and pub. It is directly beside the Village Stroll and it is exactly where you'd want to be! It's close the EVERYTHING you need as a tourist in Whistler.
They have a pool and hot tub which is pretty secluded from the public and very spacious, they provide towels at the pool so you don't have to bring yours down from the hotel and they have really nice comfy robes for you in your room.
I highly highly HIGHLY recommend this hotel! I don't think I'll ever stay anywhere else ever again in Whistler. -

I'm pretty mixed in feelings on this place because it was really nice but I couldn't sleep...and sleep is pretty important when you're traveling.
The good: Location location location! It's in the middle of the action and therefore a quick (2-10 min) stumble home from the bars, restaurants, shopping, etc. They also had nice amenities: a gym (small, but it did the trick), a bar onsite with good food and plenty of hockey on the TV, and an Old Spaghetti Factory.
The bad: As mentioned, my biggest complaint was that I couldn't sleep. A location right in the middle of the action meant I could hear screaming outside my window from people coming home literally ALL night (and morning) long. Our window was facing the main 'strip' so I'd recommend asking for a room facing away. It was also a holiday weekend in Canada when I went, which probably contributed to the rowdiness.
I also found the rooms pretty small & the beds pretty uncomfortable - particularly given the price of the hotel.
I'd probably stay here again, just ask for a room farther from the noise so I could sleep. -

Loved this place! Perfect location at the center of town, near the lifts/mountain and all sorts of shops and restaurants. Do ask for room 331, because you will love to sip a cocktail on that balcony. The staff are all wonderful and helpful, too.

The lobby area is very nice and Tom was very helpful with giving us parking directions. Parking is $22 a night for cars. We were on a motorcycle and parked in a little side spot so we weren't charged. The room we had was situated right over the Village walk which was convenient to everything. The flip side of that was that it was very noisy at night as we also overlooked the bars and people were yelling and screaming until 2am making sleep difficult. The room was clean and nicely decorated but the king sized bed took up so much space that there was little room to move around. The bed mattress was uncomfortable for my husband but ok for me. We could feel the seam between the box-springs below the mattress. The gym had nice quality equipment and the Internet room was spacious and useful. We ate breakfast at the restaurant which was very good; the staff efficient but not overly friendly.Overall our experience was positive and we feel we got a good deal considering the location.
