Swung by for brunch with the fam this past Saturday and was thrilled with the experience. A great outdoor seating space (although the tables are wobbly, which means lots of spilled coffee), complete with retractable awnings for shade. A nice, open, inviting interior. A young, hip, ocassionally beautiful crowd. In short, everything you could ask for in a casual brunch spot.

The menu borders on being too big. It takes up four massive chalkboards which hang over the counter, but I guess I shouldn't complain about a place offering options. I went with the Acapulco omelette, which might've been a touch greasy, but I appreciated the generous portions. No idea about the prices; one of the benefits of being the youngest child is that I don't ever pay when I'm out with the fam!

If you're near the Mission or Noe Valley and looking for a fun leisurely brunch spot, you could do a lot worse than to check out The Crepe House.

And you can trust me on this one; I'm an Elite. ;)

It's been so long since I've had a good crepe that I had great difficulty choosing from the many enticing crepe combinations on the menu at Crepe House. I settled for the Mediterranean: cheese, onions, tomatoes, olives, feta, red peppers, avocado and artichokes. This classic combination of ingredients filled a void in my soul.

At first, I was somewhat concerned with the fact that most of the crepes on the menu run close to $10, but when my dish arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the portion size of the crepe, as well as the deliciously filling rosemary potatoes and beautifully dressed salad that come with it. I'd also like to mention that they have a handful of quality beers on tap!

Now that I know they're the real deal, I've gotta go back to try a few other interesting crepe dishes. Even though they're considered a breakfast/brunch establishment, the Crepe House is an excellent option for any meal of the day.

I've walked by this place a few times. It looked ok, and one morning I walked by and saw a girl in the window with a big bowl of Irish Oatmeal. Yum! So I ran in.
There was no line at all, and only 2 table occupied.
I asked for the oatmeal and to my surprise, the lady said that they were all out..... O__O What do you mean all out? Your store just opened?!!
She told me that the oatmeal was for their regulars... OUCH! I was thinking about being a regular... but now that I can't have oatmeal, then I will reconsider. Boo!

So I ordered, what i thought was something small..... A croissant sandwich. It was MASSIVE!!! It was good... but I wished that I was allowed to have that Oatmeal.

I come here when I want: a reliable tasty salad (Cobb), cheap yet diverse options for beer, and WiFi.  If the weather permits, outdoor eating.  Never really too packed or ridiculous waits (a la overrated Boogaloos or squat/gobble).  Staff are friendly too.

Beautiful interior, very cozy feeling, with the lovely jazzy music playing.

So happy they have fried chicken with waffles! First time trying this place out with the bf, celebrating our year&half.

He ordered the crab cake florentine while i ordered the waffle fried chicken. Best decision i've ever made. The chicken is absolutely enticing, with its crispy skin and delicious home-styled gravy. Combining it with waffles drenched in maple syrup was amazing. The crab cakes were cooked to perfection, and you can really taste the white wine they used on the crab cakes.

I also ordered the Chai Latte, and that was a delicious starter, not too strong on the Chai, and not too much milk. Just perfect.

Would definitely come back here again :)

There's so many awesome eateries in the Mission, it's hard to compete.  I probably wouldn't have come here if it weren't requested but glad I tried it!

I had the Belgium waffles (Topped with bananas, strawberries and powder sugar, $7.25) and a tall coffee for dinner.  Love breakfast for dinner!  Nothing extra special about it; just tasty and filling.

The guys behind the counter are charming and make you feel welcome.  They have a pretty extensive menu so I wouldn't mind coming back to try a crepe!

Went to the crepe house with some coworkers. Wasnt sure what to expect. The places very clean and inviting. Order at the counter and then go find a table. Pick one outside and enjoy all that Valencia has to offer.

No booze, but they do have about 5 beers by the bottle and like 7 beers on tap. The menu is pretty large. We ordered a bunch of appetizers. Chicken strips were great. Onion rings were crispy and flavorful. The stars of the show were the potato skins. I enjoyed them so much I got an order togo before I left. (Along with a Bacon cheeseburger)

I can't speak about the crepes. I did try a bite of the apple pie crepe, and it did taste like apple pie. That's possibly a good sign.  Haha

I would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing, casual lunch or dinner.

Just get the Sopranos crepe, why don't you?!  Filled with gooey mozzarella cheese, crumbled sausage, olives, onion.  Skip the Western crepe..remniscent of Dennys omelette as the filling..- take that statement any way you'd like.

Size is moderate.  If you're an adult, don't listen to someone's review here when that person noted one crepe is enough to feed 2.  IT IS NOT but you may be full after 3/4.  Crepes come with side salad of mixed greens and finely chopped romaine lettuce and nicely crisped potatoes with no spices.

Nice interior, Outdoor seating option.  Fairly quick service where you order first, get a number, then they'll bring you your food.  Around $9 for crepes.  Their board of daily specials are around $10-$12.

Glad they opened up a crepe style breakfast brunch place near the 24th st. and valencia corridor.    With high ceiling and a brick facade, and wooden tables, its a comfortable and cozy place to eat in the "mish".

Have tried both the omelettes and sandwhiches and while they are not spectacular they are good enough to recommend if you are in the area.

They have extensive outdoor and indoor seating if its nice outside, which is usually the case in the mission or cold outside, then you can always warm up inside with a cup of tea or coffee..

I like how they offer brunch/breakfast all day.

The reuben sandwhich was toasted just right and was delicious and juicy.

The ommellete was very big and tasty.

The only downside I can say about this place is the price.  yes you get what you pay for, but the price is on the slight high side, even for being in SF.

Overall I would recommend as a nice place to sit down grab a bite to eat, the menus have a bit of everything, including huge salads.  You can also get your wine or beer drinky drink on here as well, which is a plus!

You'll find all sorts of people in here, from those sucked into their books and laptops yelping and blogging away, to those in deep conversations about reality TV and the meaning of life.

    Mm mm!

My boyfriend, friend, and sisters wanted crepes so I suggested The Crepe House. I'm only giving this place 3 stars because parking was difficult. It took us nearly an hour to find parking! We walked about 3-4 blocks to The Crepe House and by the time we arrived, we were starving! It wasn't too packed on a weekday. The menu reminds me of Crepevine's menu.. order, pay, and find a seat.

I don't remember exactly what everyone got, but I do remember that everything was very good because I had a bite of everyone's plates lol. My only complaint about the restaurant itself is the room temperature water.

Good place to have brunch, lunch, and dinner!

Every other week or so I pick up a to-go order of the Crepe House's Asian Chicken Salad when I'm late getting home from work and don't want to make dinner. For all the amazing food along Valencia there's a surprising shortage of good salad options and I appreciate the Crepe House's generous portion size and fresh-grilled chicken.

The crepes are okay but not stellar. I do appreciate their cheap draft beers, especially on a weekend afternoon sitting out in their parklet.

I've tried a lot of things on the menu and am definitely convinced the Asian Chicken Salad is the best value (a little odd for a crepe place, but I won't complain).

First time here and it was Great . The menu is spectacular , everything literally looked good and sounded good . I had the Hayes omelette but the pesto crepe the new Orleans and crab cake special looked good . The proportion was a great amount definitely filling and the price is certainly not over priced for what your getting. The service is quick and it gets crowed easily . It's a walk in order first then seat yourself . Overall parking is hard because it is a busy and popular street def if you ate able to walk I would recommend it !

I've been on a crepe hype lately. Their colorful chalkboards and intriguing brunch options call out to me. My frugal self thinks, "You're better off cooking breakfast and saving your money. Remember what your father taught you!" But then the other side of me is like, "Do you really feel like cooking AND washing dishes? On a SUNDAY?! Come on. They have Corn Flake French Toooasssst!!"

OKAY. OKAY. Well if you're gonna twist my arm.

    The hubs and I ordered...
    - Corn flake French toast w/ fruit and powdered sugar. Two of my favorite breakfast foods merged into one. I haven't been this excited since I discovered bacon waffles at Christie's in Burlingame!
    - Belgian waffle topped w/ fresh fruit
    - Crab cake eggs florentine. Because I'm hella fancy like that.
    - We drank coffee out of their mismatched coffee mugs :)

Bonus points for our food coming out so FAST. There's lots of outdoor seating so I'd love to come back on a warm day.

A bicyclist's food oasis with tons of indoor and outdoor space on the valenica corridor.
Ginourmous portions that come with real mesculin greens sides and country potatoes
1 crepe meal is about $9 and it can easily fill 2 people's bellies
Open early and late and have cheap beer on tap.
Good for people/traffic watching as part of the space is in a new parklet that has reclaimed some of the street.
A definite win for the neighborhood|
    FU motorists!

I'm so happy this place opened up on Valencia (walking distance to me = muy convenient).  It's such a warm and cozy environment with surprisingly good food.  if you're in the mood for a crepe, go for the pesto one.  If you want a sandwich, their veggie one is huge.  Their salmon salad is solid (but get a different dressing).

Their beer special rules.  Outdoor seating is a very nice touch.

My life is like the creep house, so it makes sense that I would be a fan of a place called The Crepe House.

Anyways, crepes are delicious. Kind of hard to fuck them up. Last time I was here I played Trivial Pursuit, and one of the only answers I got right was about syphilis (YAY MY LIFE IS AWESOME) and then some bitch at our table told me not to hate my life, like hi you granola motherfucker you don't even know me so why don't you save your happy go lucky sunshine garbage for someone who fucking cares, you patchouli whore.

Uh so crepes are good. Kinda like pancakes but different, and I like to eat my feelings.

Warning! Inappropriate sexual advances come free at the Crepe House.

As much as I want to support this place around the corner from my house, every time I go, the guy makes lude comments along the lines of "you want to go get some ladies tonight? eh eh?" I can handle a douchebag every now and then, but it's a different story when my girlfriend goes there alone. She now refuses to go there by herself and we've both gotten corroborating stories from friends as well. It's gotten to the point where we notice the other girls that work there giving him disapproving looks for his remarks.

Good food, but it should be called The Creep House.

Very nice interior of wood and brick, in a nice area.

Service was friendly but a little slow. I was the first customer of the day so maybe the stove was still cold.

I had a nice nutella crepe. The portions are average and the price is high for what it is:

$8.63 for a single crepe and a tea. Not cheap!

Eating out is SF is getting more and more expensive!

    ROACHES

Was there a few nights ago, enjoying my Asian chicken salad and cheap cold beer.  Look down to see a big old cockroach on top of my table staring back at me.

Didn't want to freak out.  Tried to knock it off my table with the ketchup bottle but it ran onto the underside of the table.  Asked the man who was working the front counter to help me.  He told me they had recently sprayed for roaches so they have come out of their hiding places.  Gross.

He carried my food to another table.  Never checked back with me.  Didn't give me anything for free or offer my money back.  I sat there staring at my salad trying to stop myself from envisioning roaches running through the kitchen and all that gross stuff.  I tried to suck it up and be an adult.  Reminding myself that there are roaches everywhere... and the place otherwise appeared to be clean.  But ultimately I could not eat another bite and left.

For days I contemplated not writing this review because I do not want to hurt their business.  From what I hear, roaches are common.  (Though this is only the 2nd time I've ever seen one in a SF restaurant.)  But now everytime I bike by this place I get grossed out.  And I really really liked that damn Asian chicken salad but can't imagine ever going back in there again.  Just thought you should know.

I was around the neighborhood and wanted something to eat and came pass this place and decided to check it out.

What caught my attention at first are the tables outside that you can eat outdoors.  Then when I walked it was nice and clean.  Organized menu but it was one of those menus you have to look up and have a hurting neck.  I ordered the Frutty Nutella Crepe with an iced soy Chai plus a Chicken-Lemon Sausage for a side order.  I waited about 5 minutes for my order and I was surprised with the size of my crepe and iced soy chai.  As for my sausage it was just one sausage split in half for $3.95! As for the Frutty Nutella it was so good but I think too much on the Nutella but it was still fulfilling.  I had a choice if I wanted whip cream or ice cream on the side but I chose ice cream instead.  =)

Anyway, what I liked about the place was the ambiance, the food, service of the workers, cleanliness and it can also be a study area.  Music was moderate so it wasn't too loud nor distracting where you can have a lunch date or study during your break.

The cons of this area is the parking because of course it is Valencia!

For those who are interested in checking out this place, its between 23rd and 24th Street on Valencia and RIGHT ACROSS from CCSF Mission Campus.

The good: Beer and tables outdoors, fun ambiance, and a place to people watch as you relax in the mission.

The bad: Mediocre if not flavorless Miami Heat crepe, and oily crab cakes on the eggs benedict. Oh, and it seems no one buses tables.

The ugly: The crepe was thick and gummy, almost overdone, and hard to cut through (bad day?)

Not to shabby.  My friend had suggested to eat here for lunch.  This was my first time ever eating a crepe as a lunch.  I got the veggie pesto crepe.  It came with some salad and potatoes.  Everything tasted really good.  The hardest part was stopping myself from eating the whole plate.  There was a lot of food.  Price for my meal was about $7.95.

I really enjoyed the decor of the restaurant.  It has a lodge feel to it.  Outside you can eat on the extended street patio.  The crepe house has now opened a new door for me food wise.

Beautiful weather + Carnival Sunday = Too many people in the Mission.

With 4 dozen of Anthony's Cookies (ready my review), the boyfriend & I wanted desperately to avoid the crowds both on & off the streets.  As we walked passed open windows & saw open seats, the 2 of us ducked in without hesitation.  In fact, we didn't even know the name of the place until after we had placed our orders.

He got a Belgian waffle which was fluffy & was topped with lots of fruits.  However, it was not hot enough & the waffle did not have much flavor when eaten "au naturel."  I got Eggs Florentine with sauce on the side.  The eggs were nicely poached & the side of fruits were good.

One thing that irked me was that towards the end of our meal, one of the servers came & asked us to move to a smaller table so a party of 4 could take over our seats.  This was just weird since (1) we were minutes from leaving & (2) this place is supposed to be "seat yourself."

Overall we had a good time & the food was decent.  The weird table switching could very well be a one time thing.  There are many more eateries in the Mission that I haven't tried yet so...until next time...whenever that may be.

Love this place.  I've known the Jordanian guy behind the counter for awhile and he is super sweet and always has greeted me and others(women AND men) with jokes and nice conversation despite the fact that he works 70+ hours a week. If I had to deal with snarky patrons that are always trying to change or "customize" their food orders when there are like 10 people standing in line behind them, I would not be as nearly as gracious as he is. And normally he is of course is going to snatch your money quickly (referring to Pico S's review) if there is a mega line behind you waiting. He is usually the only person at the counter, and has to take orders, deliver the food, and bus the tables all by himself. He naturally will have to work very quickly and may not be able to make people feel as entitled as they may be used to feeling elsewhere.  But he tries. He really does!

That said, I am a fan of this place. It's really large and spacious, and great for finding a quiet spot to read, use a computer, and listen to nice, upbeat music. The food is really good... and a little less pricey than Squat and Gobble. I love the outside seating as well, which is so perfect on a sunny day in the Mission. This place is a great place to grab a quick bite if you want to avoid more destination-style restaurants before heading out to various hotspots in the MIssion.  I will definitely keep supporting this place.

Oh yes, their salmon sandwich is amazing.

My parents told me they really liked this place and recommended it for a nice brunch to celebrate being done with finals. My mom came by on a late Monday morning.

The place is clean, I was amazed at how clean the bathroom was too.

I hate it when I have to pay before the food comes, because I don't wanna give a good tip for crappy food.

I ordered the special with sunny side up eggs, hash browns and pancakes. My mom ordered the strawberry crepe.

All together the order came to about $16-17. Ugh. The food was really mediocre, and the portions were small. My mom didn't like her crepe, she was surprised, "If the place is called 'Crepe House' doesn't it mean it has really good crepes?" Well mom, looks can be deceiving.

I ordered the Miami Heat crepe, which I probably should've second-guessed since they're currently in the NBA playoffs and I didn't think it'd be right to order.  I don't know why.

In any case, the plate came out, and I was surprised to see that it was bigger than I thought.  It had the savory crepe (wade), the potatoes (james), and the salad (bosh).  I totally underestimated the amount of food, and it ended up winning.

There's probably a lot more I could say to be more witty, but I was pretty full to be honest.  Maybe I was just a-okay with the crepe itself, but whatever.

Dog friendly, outdoor dining (I had to clear my own table though, delicious pastas. I had the Penne and my friend Malou had the Spaghetti. Very large portions. We had split a Banana Foster Crepe and that was pretty delicious. Meatball (My toy poodle) and I will be back for more!

I really want to love it because:
    a) Awesome ambiance - spacious, cool, clean
    b) Reasonably priced food in the mission
    c) NO LINE on a Saturday?!

    But it's hard because:
    d) The food just wasn't that great.

We came here for breakfast on a Saturday and the cashier insisted that yes, in fact, I do need two kinds of cheese in my Med. crepe. I beg to differ, friend. it really just came out overly cheesy in the oily kind of way. Should've gone with my gut and asked them to hold the cheddar.

My sister had the Acapulco omelette, which was pretty good, but still tasted like it needed some salt. The one great thing was the rosemary potatoes! I'll eat those again any day.

In any case, love having the restaurant in the 'hood for a quick bite - but would honestly rather wait in line for amazing brunch vs. just so-so.

Came here for brunch with a large group on a sunday morning and instantly found a table (which is really rare in the city!) I shared the pesto crepe and a strawberry/nutella crepe with a friend. The pesto was excellent (mozzarella, avocado, spinach, pesto, feta, and tomato!) It came with potatoes and a salad which were sort of average compared to the crepe. The dessert crepe was pretty standard but anything with nutella is an instant crowd pleaser.

The place is good for a group because you order in the front and then the food is brought to your table. Makes it easier than having to split a large brunch bill at the end of a meal. Also, the trivial pursuit cards on all the tables were awesome :) so much fun to play while you eat!!

I've been to so many Crepe Houses, Cafes, Gobbles, Squats and Vines lol, there's so many I can't keep track so I figure they are all the same.

    Wrong!!

Came here for a quick bite to eat earlier with my sis. The owner, or cashier when we walked in was such a gentlemen. He was entertaining, funny and helpful with the menu.

I like the seating in the venue more than any other place. I wonder if they have wifi? I figured they did since I seen a person with their laptop. The place was warm and inviting, with music playing in the background. The mission is the warmest area in the city, so the windows were wide open and it makes for some fun people watching.

The menu is so extensive and everything always sounds great.
But, I got the Special or Chicken and Waffles!! Yes!! they served that!
    It was delicious!!

    Cheap, good and appetizing food.

This is my new crepe house =)

This place is ok.  When we walked in, the tempting aroma of savory crepes was thick in the air but we were in the mood for some dessert.  The restaurant looked clean and they were playing some cool Latin music that reminded me of the Buena Vista Social Club.  It was kind of trippy to eat crepes which is French and have Latin music playing in the background. But who am I to complain if the music was good? I spent $7+tip on a small crepe that had nutella, bananas, chocolate syrup and berries in it.  It was good but it was so tiny that Loverboy and I inhaled it in less than three minutes.  I think it took longer for us to receive the crepe than us consuming it. We were debating on ordering a second one since we were feeling kinda piggy. We decided not to since it was a bit pricey.  For that price, I expected more fruit and a bigger crepe.  They do have specials on beer that I would like to check out next time.  They carry Blue Moon which I think is awesome. Hopefully their savory crepes are bigger than the dessert crepes.  I am a much happier piggy when my belly is full!
