Review from Darcy D.
The new and bigger location solves the space problems of their first location. They have an excellent selection of European and American games and an excellent space to play them in. Also they are expert in collectible card games with a full weekly event schedule. They also have a small but growing comic collection and a nice selection of Role Playing Games.
Check it out and enjoy their new digs.Listed in: Quality Board Game retailers

Review from Geoff B.
I finally wandered into the local game shop I had spotted when first moving to the neighbourhood. I was quite impressed with what they've done given their space constraints. The narrow retail space is packed with board games, cards, a few comics, tables for events, and refreshments to keep event attendees happy. There's even a few bookshelves in the back devoted to pen and paper RPGs.
Unfortunately the slim retail space does mean it's a bit cramped, especially when they're stocking things. The staff is friendly and helpful, though, and they carry just about everything I could want. They didn't even make fun of me for playing Rifts! Truely classy.Listed in: Marpole

I'm a geeky gamer at heart and can't help walking into The Connection Games when I happen to be walking by. I'm not "Comic Book Shop Guy" geeky, but I do like my games.
What I really like about the place is that they're not pushy. Unlike Games Workshop, they let you wander around at your own pace and only come to you when you clearly have a question. That being said, they don't get so into their gaming that they ignore you either.
They have a good supply of board games both alternative and party games, from Axis and Allies to Settlers of Catan. That being said, they don't really supply Games Workshop products there, so don't get your hopes up if you're looking for something that does in the area. They couldn't even if they wanted to - the store is just too small for that market.
Even without the Games Workshop presence, it's a nice little stop if you're going on a little walking tour of the Marpole strip.
