Review from Kerri W.

Finally! A decent cappuccino in St. Albert! In all fairness, the espresso machine they use is totally automatic except for the milk steaming/frothing. They use a Franke machine, which I've worked with briefly in my days of repairing coffee machines. Certainly an impressive cup for an automatic machine.
This is a great little coffee shop near the Sturgeon River. It's downtown St. Albert, so walking distance from St. Albert Place, the main downtown parking lot, and all the shops and such on Perron and St. Thomas Streets. It's got high ceilings and curvy counters. I like the comfy, spacious feel.
They offer some pannini sandwiches, soups and desserts as well as coffee, tea and a selection of cold beverages (including juice boxes). My sister actually met a friend at this coffee shop so I thought I'd check it out for myself. I'd have to say it's the best in the area for sure.
One thing I was particularly impressed with was that they use the local Saint City Roasters for their coffee suppliers. Talk about shopping local! They also sell their beans if you want to take some home. The coffee is fair trade. I'm hoping to check out the roaster itself because I'm fascinated. They have quite an impressive selection available for purchase at The Coffee Cup and you can purchase a cup to see if you like it.
