When living in Sunnyside I decided it was time to have the bra situation dealt with once and for all!
I like so many others just usually guessed at my size and bought whatever sorta fit.
I was intimiated at first but the ladies really helped me out. She helped me pick out pretty bras and after I had them on she came into the room with me to check to see if it really fit me properly.
Apparently I have been wearing my bra 'wrong' all my life. She grabbed the back of the bra and pulled it down showing me that it should be much lower than I was wearing it. She told me that I should never have to wear its on the very smallest hook, if so its too big! She also (which was quite funny) grabbed the middle of the front of the bra and wiggled it back and forth just to make sure the 'girls' were actually 'in there'. Luckily i'm not the kind of person who minds help in this area from another woman, some might have not like that kind of physical contact!
In the end she found me two beautiful bras (both totally different sizes because they came from different parts of the world!), the price was high, but I was just happy to find something that fit, felt comfortable and didnt make me readjust a million times a day!

I measure about a 28FF, and the sales lady told me that I basically can wear nothing but a full cup support bra. No other bra would work according to her. She then went on to make me feel very abnormal (in truth it is not a terribly common size, but a sales person should not make you feel bad because of things like that), and was rather blasé about helping me, compared to the older women in the store. She was visibly and verbally nicer and more attentative to them. In the end, thy had not a single bra in the entire store in my size.
She was rather rude to me in terms of what she said about my body, and I left the store crying. I know that others have had great experiences here, but I would caution anyone bringing a teenager of a more difficult to find size because of my experience here. I certainly should not have a) been treated differently because of my age, nor b) should I have been made to feel so abnormal that I left the store crying.
Cat's Pyjamas, step up your game. Your potential 19 year-old customers can be just as valuable as any other age set. -

Not a big fan of this store. Had a groupon deal for it. Received no help from the staff that were working. There were several costumers in the store that were getting helped with bra fittings, and had a lot of assistance, however despite being totally overwhelmed in the store, no one offered to assist me or help me find what I was looking for. In fact when I did try items on the women all stayed up front by the till and didn't check on me. Even though I was at that point one of the only people in the store. When I went to the check out, I was informed that they were losing money by doing the coupon deal. I ended up choosing something myself, as no one would help me when I was looking at the bras. Overall I found my visit awkward and uncomfortable. Most of the sleepwear was targeted to older woman. Even though I want to get a proper bra fitting, I likely would not return to this store as a result of the poor costumer service.

Here's what I can tell you. If you are a bride this is the place to go to find your undergarments. I used to work for La Vie en Rose and we always had to refer brides to this store to find what they were looking for because we only carried 1 option in bridal corsets...
Yes, the bras can be more expensive but you get what you pay for. (Hate to say it but if you buy a bra from La Senza you are not getting good quality or good service. Their staff does not know how to fit a bra properly, nor do they care)
Bra fittings are so important and I had no idea until recently. Like I said I worked in Lingerie and I have been wearing the wrong size for years. I was told I was a 36-B but really I am a 30-D!
I don't find the ladies there rude at all. They do try and let you have your own space so it doesn't feel like pressure sales but if you tell them what you are looking for they will give you a hand. You should ask for Karen, she is the best and so super sweet! -

Located in the heart of Kensington, The Cat's Pyjamas is the place to go for fine lingerie, and cosy jammies.
The Cat's Pyjamas is also a great place to go for a professional bra-fitting. Yes, get properly fitted for a bra, something like 80% of women are wearing the wrong size of bra - Good Lord, run, don't walk to The Cat's Pyjamas and get measured!
You should know that men that enter The Cat's Pyjamas are assisted and guided by the professional and knowledgeable staff in selecting gifts for the women in their lives. And if they can't decide, the men are given the option to walk out with a gift certificate for their sweetie.
The Cat's Pyjamas has tons of bras, panties and night wear, but they also carry gift items that are cat related. Makes sense. -

I stopped in about a week before Christmas and there were 4 women working. The store was packed with lingerie, impossible to shop from, terribly merchandised and the women in the store were incredibly rude. After being in the empty store for over 5 minutes, one of them asked me if I needed something in an unfriendly and insincere manner. That was the only thing that was said to me during my 15 minutes in the store. They gossiped amongst themselves and at one point were whispering to one another. It was very strange and very uncomfortable. I would never go back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Apparently it is under new ownership and from what I remember from back in the days at Mount Royal Village, it has gone downhill. Don't waste your time.

As Oprah says, 80% of women are wearing the wrong bra size. The whole matter is complicated, and once you reach a certain size it becomes extremely important that both band and cup sizes are correct. A lot of women fall out of the traditional A - D lingerie range, and so a bra fitting by a professional is essential. The Cat's Pyjamas staff are just that - professionals. And they have a selection of bras running from AA - K in addition to the pyjamas and fancy lingerie.
After they take your measurements, they have you try on a variety of bras to ensure that you have been fitted correctly, and to find what works best with your body. The process does take a while, so if you're planning on going down give yourself some time to look around.
While they have some drool worthy lingerie in that A - D range, as the cup size increases so does the granniness of the bras. After my first fitting there, I was nearly in tears and resigned to the fact that I would have to wear overly-expensive granny wear for all of my adult life. I was fifteen.
Fortunately for the more well endowed, manufacturers have clued in to the fact that bigger busted ladies are not all above the ages of 65, and there is a lot less torpedo boobage going on. The Cat's Pyjamas has also diversified, and they have a lot more selection for the larger sizes. They are still considerably more expensive than most average, everyday bras.
The staff is very knowledgeable, and will give you their professional opinions on the fit of the lingerie you are trying on. Bra sizes change over time, so it is a good idea to get re-fitted every couple of years. -

I like the fact that this shop is downstairs, it gives it an alluring feel plus the layout has various rooms and levels. I realize that they offer professional bra fittings here and I know that is incredibly valuable so with that said I will talk about the merchandise.
They have a large selection of flannels nighties and flannel two pieces here, many had cat sayings and cat prints. They also have a great assortment of Calvin Klein and assorted lacy bras and panties. Nothing in particular however was very attractive to me. I prefer wearing cotton and paying higher prices for bras and panties is not a priority on my list.
But I am sure they carry products that would appeal to many women so if you are a fan of well fitted lingerie, bras and panties and don't mind paying higher prices, you should check them out.
