Went there Sunday night. had 32 Oz DOS xx and the wife had a 24Oz DOS xx. We also ordered the hot wings. Spent 20 dlls. Great beer prices and the wing were off the chain. Shot pool and listened to good music. Highly recommend.

Came here about a year ago for a coworkers birthday.  She kept on raving to me how good the wings were.  I'm never one to believe the hype...after a few beers of shocktop, i finally grabbed one, then the one slowly became probably 15 wings.  I ate so many wings i ended paying for a round of those things... If you come here may i suggest the cajun wings.  I come back here every once in a while and i have never been disappointed.

Well I came here because of all of the raves for the cajun garlic wings.

First time in the bar and it didn't look like the dive that I thought it was.

I ordered the wings to go.

There was a ton of garlic in there but it is the jar variety as every piece was so uniform.

I took it to go so when I got home the wings were not crisp at all.

The sauce was pretty good even though it was jarred chopped garlic.

Possibly if I ate there the wings would be crisper.

But a good deal at 15 wings for 9 bucks and they didn't charge tax.

I think I may stay here for a game one time.

La Bellas is more comfortable though by far.

Close to the house.  Shock top on tap. Really freakin hot wings.  My friend digs the fries with cheesy goodness.  I have to try them next time!

Everyone who works there is pretty cool.  Lived here foreva and my first visit was with a regular so she ordered the big beer for me. Thank god for friends.

Watch out for the angry pool players that are there on occasion.  They get mad if you suck at pool like I do.  Ha ha ha besides that not bad.

    Parking can be tight sometimes.

    I love this bar!!!!

Great beer selection, they have my favorite beer Stella on draft.  The food is fantastic, you have to try the Garlic Cajun wings.  No place but the Canyon has these and it's their best seller for a reason. The owners Dave and Summer are almost always there and make everyone feel welcomed.
Canyon Club is the best bar in Chula Vista.

Lots of regulars, good vibe.  Every once in a while, there is a fight.  Don't worry, so long as you aren't starting a fight with the guy that bears the neck tattoo, you're all good.  And if they ask, you didn't see anything. I kid, I kid (kind of).

The food here is great bar food.  I love the tater tots and the wings.  The rest of the stuff I have yet to try.  Good prices, great happy hour specials.  Oh, and the Medium and higher wings are HOT/SPICY so if you can't handle it, go for the mild of the garlic ones.  The garlic ones are GOOD!

Off the 805 freeway, exit Telegraph Canyon Road and bare witness to two magnitude landmarks. First being their flagpole, so huge that it can probably withstand category 5 hurricanes. Second being their legendary "The Boot", which is a monstrous glass boot filled with beer.

Many locals have been calling this place their hangout. I wanted to see what all the hype was all about, so last Friday we double dated with my cousin and her husband to take upon the challenge.

This place is nonetheless a dive bar. Here they only serve you beer and are working on getting their liquor license. They knocked down the suite adjacent to the bar, which you can clearly see they need some painting and frame work to be completed soon.

We approached the bar and asked what was their largest size. I am not sure why the chick (a Coyote Ugly) behind the bar didn't offer "The Boot" right away. Finally when it clicked to her, everyone inside was silent and suddenly a cheer of "Boot! Boot! Boot! Boot! Boot!" started to rampage when our beers were served. I opted for the Heineken and Juan went for the Hefeweizen.

The booties were pretty heavy. In comparison, they were like a glass pitcher that I could of served to everyone on my table. But this wasn't a party glass...no, behold a beer drinker's drink. Period.

:45 mins later or so, the beer started to start warming up. We were down to our last chugs and finally conquered the feat. I found out it is about 64 oz. of beer, which legend has it the owner drank 3 and 1/2 of them on his birthday! No thank you. I don't think I would be able to kill a pair of boots here.

Besides "The Boot" they serve large glasses of beer. Perhaps the bootie may be to huge for you to handle, rest assured they have the right size glass with your name on it.  Note:  Lolita's Taco Shop is around the corner, great for curing the aid of hang overs!

A few video games, a boxing punching bag machine and a pool table are all here for your enjoyment. I didn't catch the jukebox, but it was playing all kinds of tunes that went well with your good times here.  Check out UFC events here on their multi-screens.

The locals in here can be rowdy, but what do you expect when you are in the South Bay? No one will harm a fly here, so if anyone starts to bump you by accident you'll be apologized repeatedly but in good fashion.

The fat: Up and coming dive establishment. Try "The Boot"!

The skinny:  Only drink "The Boot" on special occasions.

I used to think this place was a biker bar or some other non-reputable joint. It always looked dark and there were "tough" looking individuals smoking outside all the time. Then one night...we met some girls...they wanted to party but be close to home....Wild Wooly's was out of the question because of the numerous stabbings and fights....Archway was too far "inland" so where to we end up...CANYON CLUB!!

I was very apprehensive going in but was presently surprised at the clientele. There were old timers, some bar flies, a hipster couple and us. I was digging it so I ordered a gin n tonic......BRAKES....its not a full bar. They do have an impressive beer selection but I decided to go with a bud light bottle...it came out of a chiller that was set at 22 degrees...freakin nice and cold and they served it to you in a beer cozy.

Looking around and talking to the bartender I found out that they show all the major MMA and boxing matches and don't charge cover. The jukebox must be connected to the internet because they had a nice selection of new music and some oldies as well. The food is typical bar fare but I didn't have a chance to try it since the "kitchen" closed right when we arrived.

I also found out that they are trying to get a license for a full bar..if that happens WATCH OUT...I think I may have found a cool local hangout!

This rating is not based on how good of a place this is to get hammered and watch a football game, but rather as a spot to stop for lunch.

First off, people know each other here, both patrons and employees, which is nice.  Other patrons said hello.  This is a super-friendly establishment, with the profile of the patrons skewed toward blue collar.  Think friendly fat white guys in jeans and flannel drinking beer from "tall boy" cans at 1 pm on a weekday.

The food was good.  I ordered the 1/2 pound burger + cheese, tater tots  and a Diet Coke.  The burger patty itself was formed elsewhere by a machine, but it didn't taste like a cheap patty.  I'd call it "good".  The bun and the veggies were as fresh as they could be.  The tater tots were tasty, and they were in abundance.  I left a few behind because I was full.

The Diet Coke?  Tasted more like "diet cola".  Either something was wrong with the fountain dispenser or most people drink it with a shot of Jack and don't notice.

I will go for lunch again and try other menu choices.

I was kind of disappointed when I found out they only had beer and wine, but pretty happy when I saw the size of their large beer... by the way, it's HUGE! I didn't pay, but i heard it was around 4-5 dollars for ~2 pints of beer. Um... yea I'll take that :)

They also serve food and it's just a pretty chill place to hang out. They have a juke box, pool table, and some video games. Their women's bathroom is decent too. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area.

Still the best place to stop at for beer and food AND Football, Baseball, Pool, etc.! It's just clean, fun, and pleasant. The staff and patrons are welcoming and friendly but not in you face nor are they aloof, but if you want to be left alone and not talked to you can get that there also.

UPDATE REVIEW: Remodel is still ongoing  and it's looking great. Bathrooms clean and spacious, new Flat Screens, and did I mention Bigger Beer Selection because the beer selection keeps getting better. Fat Tire on Draft and the XX is good on Draft- I know I should'a known. Somehow not into Pacifico that much anymore...

The food as always awesome and cooks are very willing to modify their dishes to accommodate and keep us patrons happy. I frequently get the Shrimp P'o Boy on lettuce instead of bead with no fries (Chef Special Susy Style--some don't like that I say this, but that's how I like the Chef's Po'Boy) (Ex Chef MIA presently) . I actually posted a picture because the presentation was so nice and served with a "customer service in mind" attitude.

Awesome local sports bar that opens early and closes late. The minus star is because it's beer and wine only, but everything else is perfect. They always have good, strong, microbrew beer, along with your regular domestics. $2.50 for the Bud Light in that freezing steel can if thats your thing.

One pool table, a jukebox, a golf game, and one of those punching machines.

The food is ridiculous good, especially for the price. I've had the wings, burgers, fries, and chili fries...all great food. Exactly what you're looking for in a bar.

Its a sports bar, so they show all games, and more importantly, they show all fights - PPV boxing and MMA fights. Gotta love that.

All the staff are friendly, from the bartenders to the chefs, and the owner is always up in there kicking it. The locals are mostly over 40, so expect that going in the door, but they're all cool.

Say what's up to Jesse (short mexican old dude) if you visit.

This is a pretty great hang-out bar. I've always imagined this to be the ideal place to grab a beer on a saturday afternoon, but I've only landed here late into saturday nights. I always miss the kitchen being open, but I've been told that the bar grub is grease-tastic (in a good way).

The staff is great, and the attention to detail with the beer is always top-notch. Bottles are kept in, essentially, a freezer, so that lager is always icey cold, and a fresh orange slice in a wide-mouth tumbler is how Hoegaarden should always be served. Nice people, nice atmosphere, and you never feel like anyone is scoping you out. This is not a place to be seen, just a place to drop-in, and they seem to capitalize on that.

The Canyon Club is a nice little spot that is a stray from the norm dive that Chula VIsta is accustomed to. The beer is reasonably priced, the food is good (25 cent wings during happy hour) and all of the bartenders are actually cool. The clientele is diverse/welcoming and the owners often frequent the placec giving off a home away from home vibe. There is no pretentsiousness found here.

MMA/UFC is all the craze these days and and CC has capitalized on this, all the UFC events can be watched here at no charge but the place does ge packed. If you can wade through all the Tapout/Afflicition shirts you can enjoy the fights on any of the several teles that are available.

Overall a cool spot to hang out, test your machismo on the punching machine, watch UFC or meet some cool people.

If you're a wing aficianado and happen to be somewhere on the 805 near Chula Vista, you may want to stop by.  I ordered the cajun garlic wings that were very good and washed it down with a pint of Stone Arrogant Bastard that was on tap.

For a sports bar, the place can actually use a few more screens - soccer seemed to be the sport of choice when I walked in there on a Sat evening.  A hangout for locals for sure.  By the way, the punch-as-hard-as-you-can machine in the corner seemed to be getting a lot of work - not sure if that's good or bad,

Being a CHARGER BAR makes this a mandatory stop whenever I visit my cousin in Chula Vista!  Let me start of by saying that I can't believe I only posted a picture of this place and didn't write a review about it! I must be completely sleep deprived, but here goes the review....

We came in after a couple of years and boy have things changed for the better!  The exterior got a long over do face-lift and a new sign making the whole place look nice and new.  The interior is getting a make over with a Charger theme.  In the new addition the walls are painted Charger colors and on the main wall is a really cool lighted Chargers box that looks so sharp at night!  Eventually, according to the the bartender Jackie (you rock!), the interior will be finished but is a slow process since the owners are funding and doing it themselves.

The Food and Beverage, which is my 2nd favorite thing about this place (1st being a CHARGER BAR!).  Their 15 taps showcase great imports and local craft brews that are priced right and have a variety of sizes to choose from.  I tried a pint of AirDale Dark & Stormy Stout, followed-up with a pint of Mission IPA - both great tasting beers!  We also had the Cajun Garlic Wings and the 1/2lbs Angus Cheeseburger.  Ummmmmm...Garlic!

The people and the feel of this bar is very welcoming! The owners work the bar on a regular basis and are the coolest people! They make you feel like they have known you for years! I really love that!

Since we don't have a Charger Bar in Raider territory we are always glad to visit the Canyon to get our much needed Charger fix.  Cheers Canyon and we can't wait to see the next wave of improvements!

See you on our summer vacation!

Beer was a decent price, people looked a little shady bar tender was pretty cool but night ended up in a scuffil when some idiot didn't know how to take a loss playing pool. The bar was a little run down, and the entrance wasn't to welcoming and the bathroom was way to small but what do you expect in a little bar like the canyon club. Prob wouldn't go back

The 1st time I saw this establishment in 2006 it was dark, the kitchen was non existent, and all they had were a few beers on tap.  Wow how times are changing - a new management/owner, a little TLC and an idea, has jolted this run of the mill dive Bar into one of the Premiere Sport Bar spots in Chula Vista.  From the minute I walked into the place I was greeted with the fresh aroma of the most amazing hot wings North of the Border, that in my opinion rival if not lead Hooters in taste and cost.  There are plenty of TV's, Music, a Pool Table, Golden Tee and Punching Skill machine - one of my favorites..  In addition to entertainment, there is a wide array people enjoying all the amenities that Canyon has the offer.  Which often includes the presence of some of the friendliest owners I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.. Them being there, is a true testimony to the dedication and commitment they have for their patrons.  To my amazement they just received their full liquor license separating them from a beer bar to a full fledge Sports Bar. They not only have hot wings, 16 Beers on tap but now a premium WELL to boot with very competitive prices.. The Canyon has the atmosphere that makes you want to come back again and again!!!!!! I plan on itttt!!!

A beer bar, a dive , or a whole in the wall, call it what you will. One thing is certain, the beer is cheap and can be poured into a glass of your choice ranging from 12 to 36 ounces. The food is above your typical deep fried bar food. My favorites on the menu include the angus sliders, the 25 cent wings, and once a month they hold a steak night, where they serve a very large, and tasty rib eye cooked over an open flame, and served with a baked potatoe, baked beans, garlic bread, and a salad. The inviting staff, diverse clientele, and the charger memorabilia all over the place has made this one of favorite hangout spots. The drawback to this bar is the absence of a liquor license. construction to expand the bar is ongoing, and from what I heard the liquor license is soon to follow.

I first went to this place with my mom and her boyfriend and I must say I liked it. It is an older crowd, but a good one. The beer is priced right and they have the option to get a ginormous mug, which is fun. They have a decent selection, nothing too fancy, but the beer is COOOOOLD just how I like it. The burgers are very good and I know that they do have a steak night every once in awhile which looks pretty decent.

Unfortunately I live all the way in Rancho Penasquitos so going all the way to Chula Vista for a beer can seem like a hassle.  But their AMAZING wings and hog wings are delicious.  A great place to go get some food and have a beer at anytime of the day.

The wings here are bomb!!! Cajun wings baby. I discovered this place by going to my friend's birthday party. Honestly, I didn't think much of it. My first impression was "just a regular bar off the freeway". Once those Cajun wings came out..and it hit my lips.. oh man, I was in love. Don't get me wrong, I eat a lot of wings. This may be the best Cajun wing in San Diego. I know I know.. big statement. Test it out and tell me what you think? Good size, not too much oil, sauce is not too hot and packed w/ flavor. I know what you're thinking, "this guy was probably drunk when he had it...". Actually, no. I was sober and I had dinner before I came. Yeah, I'm a lil' fatty... =) I hate when people hype things up.. but I gotta give it up to CC's famous Cajun hot wings. Special thanks to Jessica for introducing me to this place. Oh yeah, happy our is cheap!

They get four stars solely due to their $.25 wings.  Good selection of beers on tap and quick service.  Don't go expecting a high class place because it's just a nice local bar.
