Very cold drinks , nice pub fares, the look of a classical pub.
The firking burger is one of the best burgers i ever try, not a big fans of the fries and wings.
The staff is very friendly as well and the manager (johnny)that always greet us with a big smile. Definitely a pub to hang out. -

I work basically next door so I pop in here from time to time to try their different dishes. Right now they have a "winter menu" with you classic belly warmers like mac n' cheese, soups, grilled cheese, hot pots, etc. I've tried the grilled cheese which I quite enjoyed and the mac n' cheese which was a disaster. It looks so gross to begin with - it's suppose to be basked, uhh I don't think it is. It's sloppy and gooey - just not good at all.
I've had their classic pub dishes as well - Pot pies, Fish & Chips which are always good choices.
Next thing to try for me in the Yorkshire Pudding ... I hope I won't be disappointed. -

Big space, decent sit-down place for lunch
BIG Poutine: Pulled pork, bacon, cheese curd, gravy on fries- great for sharing. Done just right
Curry Chicken- Lunch size: I don't even wanna know what the non-lunch size was coz the lunch size was really big. Pretty decent. Not the best curry i've ever had in a pub, but fairly good with the rice and naan. Definitely generous portions
Good, attentive service -

My favorite Firkin. Mixed friendly crowd, fresh pours, real smiles, dated music... just how I like it. Nice high ceiling so get the wings.

Nice open bar, yet cozy. Delightful servers and good pub food. By far the best of the Firkins and my favourite bar in the city.

The General Manager (John? Gianni?))was behind the bar, apparently thinking he was helping the regular bartender (we were regular customers) and this has been going on for a couple of years during "happy hour" - a very distracting managerial presence; when he's not there, we find the service excellent and relaxed. It's clear the staff are not comfortable with him. Now we go to what was the old Bow & Arrow, or to Scruffy Murphy's up on Eglinton - BOTH have better menus (what was the Firkin Group thinking with their silly menu changes?!?), AND a better, more relaxed atmosphere. The Firkins need to reassess what a local Pub should be, given an owner (manager) like this Gianni guy.

This is a great pub! We often stop here for early dinner with the kids when we are visiting my mom and the service is always friendly. A few times we have made this the meeting place for a night out to meet up with friends and family... everyone always seems to enjoy their food and the staff always accommodate our large group. It is what it is ... a pub ! A really great pub!
