I am a regular to this club. No, it's not because I need to see naked girls, or pay them to perform sexual dances in front of me. But my friends work there, and I drop by to have a chat with them. Well... And maybe see the naked girls doing pole-dancing too.
If you go there during quiet hours, before 6:00PM, you will be pushed to buy drinks. Even though I had just finished a drink, I was told that I had to buy another drink to stay there. I even heard is that I have to buy minimum of $20 worth of drinks to open a credit card tab to stay there. There are only 10 girls during daytime hours. So if you want their total undivided attentions, don't be shy and walk in there in broad daylight while you're on lunch break. If you go there when the place is packed, they don't care whether you're holding a bottle of beer or not. You can just stand and watch whatever has been lurking in your dirty thoughts come to reality. And they don't care either if you open a tab to buy one drink and close it right away. Speaking of beer, a bottle is $10.
I don't know about other clubs, but you get approached by girls quite a lot. If you don't want a dance or don't like the girl's presence, just tell her you are waiting for a friend who works there right after she asks how you are doing. You can flirt with the girl, but she might get annoyed if you don't end up getting a dance. The place is fairly clean. The floor and the air are not sticky. The tables are wiped often. To be honest, it's always dark in there, so I wouldn't know what I'm sitting or stepping on. Well, judging by what I hear from my friends about customers and other co-workers, I would recommend washing your hands when you leave the place. There is a reason why they put a bandana or a piece of cloth on chairs when they sit down.
The Upper Brass costs $20 to get in, and it opens at 9:00PM. It has warmer atmosphere with brighter red/amber lighting. There is much more space between tables, and much less crowded too. You can spend a lot more time talking to the girls, if that is what you want. But what you get for $20 is the privacy when you get a dance. There are individual booths with curtains instead of open area. The pole-dancing stage is much lower to the ground. What I mean by that is that you can get noticed by dancer much easier if you leave a tip on the floor.
Look beyond what these girls do in the workplace. Some are hard-working students, some are loving mothers, and some already have a decent work but in need of extra cash. If you have to ask for a girl's number, remember that she will see you as her wallet as much as you see her as a wet dream brought to life. And remember that we always laugh at people who text them. If you want to have dinner with a dancer, don't get angry if I show up too. Yes, you're paying for my dinner as well. And these girls have very innocent and emotional side tucked behind their fake smiles. Please don't abuse them, and don't forget they have individualities.
I haven't been to other clubs, so I can't really compare Brass to its competitors. But from what I see, the place delivers what it promises. -
Review from Yi Z.
The girls are hot (compared to the strippers in LA). I was quite impressed by the way they looked although there were still girls who couldn't dance. We opted for the Lower Brass because it was our first time and we didn't really know what to expect. I liked the fact that there was no cover but 2 beers cost us $22 so we sipped those really slowly.
The setup was really weird and uncomfortable. The seats in front of the stage reminded me of a sushi bar. The seats farther back are also set up like a restaurant. We ended up sitting in the front so that we wouldn't have to look at creepy men but our necks hurt from constantly turning left and right.
The cool thing about Canadian strip clubs is that strippers don't expect you to tip (since the smallest bill is $5) so we sat in the front without feeling like we had to part with our money. -

Sometimes you just have to take one for the team. I came here for a bachelor party. My friends bought one of the guys a dance but he wouldn't go. So I went. Now I'm sure you're all saying "What? A free lap dance and you're complaining?". In this case, yes. It wasn't pretty, it was awkward, and thankfully it was over quickly.
Aside from that it was a great time. Our waitress was by frequently and kept the rounds coming. The dancers weren't overly pushy and were quick to take off when you said no thanks.

This is the best strip bar in town. Not the biggest or best floor plan, but in terms of the ladies, this place wins. Almost every girl is at least an 8/10, and a healthy amount of 9's and 10's.
The beer is pretty expensive, but you get what you pay for.
If you want $10 lap dances go to Jilly's and get one from a toothless crack hoe. If you want premium ladies, come here. (That's what she said.) -

Welllllll......hmmm where to start????
I ended up here as the last stop of a few on the night of my staff party. It was actually my boss who suggested we come here since according to her we just HAD to get a lap dance.
Its was pretty much exactly what I expected a strip club to be, there were tons of no-nonsense bouncers surveying the crowd, there were lots of guys hanging out hiding thier wedding bands, drinks were super overpriced, and there were 2 naked girls crawling over eachother and giving eachother spankings on stage.
After the spanking show ended a new girl strutted on stage and I was seriously impressed with her pole ability. As a pole dancer myself I can totally appreciate how much harder it is than it looks to hold yourself up on a 10 ft pole and still look sexy while doing it.
Sooner than later one of the girls sauntered up to me and was all like, hey there honey, how you doing, would you like a dance?? As I was incredibly drunk and admittedly curious, I just had to say yes. I mean, at $20 a song, its practically a bargain!!
The lap dance was....well, weird. You get led into this long room with seat cubicles lined up along each wall. There are black lights everywhere so all the girl's thongs were glowing, My dancer started her routine and then said to me, its ok you can touch if you'd like to. I didn't know exactly what to do so I started massaging her back. I said to her, hows that, and she said oooo thats divine. When she finished she asked me if I wanted to stay for another song but really, I'd had about all the tits in my face I could take for one evening. I said no thanks and then we hugged. Awww I think we had a moment!
So all in all, this is a funky place to check out if you're in the mood for something a little different then your standard bar. Just be prepared to spend a whackload of cash as nothing about this place is cheap, drinks will cost you $9-$14 apiece. At least theres no cover charge though.Listed in: My ROTDs! Yay me!

The Brass Rail is Toronto's answer to every philogynist's dream: your very own succubus for $20/song. The women are beautiful and the service is good.
*** DRINKS ***
Like any strip club, you get a bottle of beer and it's cold - enough said.
*** SERVICE ***
* Bouncers *
The bouncers are pretty much inconspicuous as long as you're in the Upper Brass section. The Lower Brass section is full of mangy kids and security is more in-your-face. The bouncers are all a bunch of fat guys, though quite friendly.
* Servers *
Servers are nothing out of the ordinary. They simply ask you if you want anything and bring it. There is no chit-chat and you're lucky if you get a smile.
* Strippers *
The women are beautiful. They are very scantily clad but it's not a problem since they take it all off. They are very sociable and won't hound you for a dance right away. You can chat them up for a bit before they ask for a dance. The women are very flexible and aim to please. They take off all their clothes and put everything in your face, so be careful. Their skin is soft and has a very sweet and pleasant smell.
*** ATMOSPHERE ***
The Lower Brass section is very crammed and is full of barely legal kids. It's essentially a sausage fest. Move up to the Upper Brass and there are less people and a lot more girls. There are a couple couches and mostly chairs around small round tables. There is a bar upstairs too where you can sit, have a drink and chat. The club has low lighting and black light so you can see lint glowing.
*** PRICE ***
While it may seem pricey, it is a standard across the industry.
Lower Brass [cover] | $0
Upper Brass [cover] | $20
Lap Dance [per song] | $20
*** EXPERIENCE ***
Go to the Upper Brass. Even if you're just visiting, the $20 cover is worth it to avoid what lies beneath. The service is really good and not pushy. The women are very good looking. The layout of the club isn't the best, but no one's there to look at the furniture. Once the ladies start undressing, not much else will matter. If you're looking for a quick thrill give The Upper Brass a try.Listed in: Grin and bare it!

WARNING!!!! WARNING!!!! Do not go to this place unless you plan on getting ripped off. This place is not only the worst strip club I've ever been to, it is BY FAR the absolute worst place of business I've ever stepped foot in. Anywhere i stood i was told by a goon (you're not allowed to stand there). I was constantly harassed by the dancers for a dance only to have them suck their teeth when i politely declined. Finally found a seat to enjoy my $10 beer and I had one of the girls sit in my lap for 15 minutes and told me i owed her $150 bucks. Are you for real?!?!? Stay as far away from this place as possible. Id give 0 stars if possible. Total rip off con-artist place of business. The management should be ashamed.

This place was terrible.
I'm not saying the Filmore or Zanzibar was better, but the girls in here were way too obnoxious. One grabbed my prick and goes "oh it's so big" and I was like, "I aint paying you to lie."
Strip clubs in Montreal are way better - or Union, New Jersey. -

Haha, oh, The Brass Rail.
Well, what to say, or rather, what not to say...
I used to work at The Hard Rock down the road, so used to hit this place up after work sometimes. Boys, girls, gays and all marched over there night after night and had a great time.
I think it is kind-of unfair to review the place, since we got special treatment as we were clearly not there for anything other than to drink and have a good time. There was no pressure from the girls and they used to drink with us and such when they were done. What I can say though, is that it is the least intimidating strip club I have ever been to, and everyone seemed to have a great time when I was there. -
Review from Jim G.
I've gone to the Rail on and off over the years, first because I had a friend who worked there, then because of various stags (I swear). The place is loud and obnoxious and stuck in the eighties, but it is what it is. You pay $10 for a beer and four sips in the server's back to ask you if you want another. You can't use the washroom without some guy turning the taps on for you and wanting to douse you with eau de toilette, for a tip of course. And if you've had too many drinks you might succumb to the lap dancers who prowl the joint. I've seen too many go to the back and not come back for a half-hour or more and then big arguments with the dancer commanding hundreds of dollars for "dances." Still, that's probably what you want if you're here. It is higher end as far as peeler joints go, from what I understand, but hit the bank machine before you come--you'll need the cash.

Review from Jen W.
Its a strip bar, and if you're not down for that, please don't come in. Upstairs is the classier version with a cover fee. Otherwise just roll on in, no cover and girls girls girls.
Some girls can dance, and do actual pole work. Others the young ones just hold onto the pole and move their hips around it. Not really impressive. Course you don't tip them while you're on stage, they take your money during the lap dances. Which they take you away into a "private" room with a few other strippers doing lap dances. They say the dance is one song, but damn , our friends were gone for a good 3 or 4 songs, one was gone for half an hour!
If you're a girl and you come in with guys, the strippers won't attack you. They pick off the weak ones, usually the guys who are alone or with other guys. For some reason if you have a female there, the strippers don't bother you. Not that it matters.
Like all strip clubs, you gotta keep ordering drinks, but seriously can i finish my over priced soda first before you tell me i have to order another one? You want me to chug down this soda so i have to pee up a wildstorm while ordering another drink? seriously. could you give me 20 minutes?
And with every strip club there's always a group of seedy guys there. Apparently Rubeus Hagrid from harry potter is a regular there. He's always trying to grope all the strippers for free and not take them into the champagne room, which they push like crazy there.
But just remember it's a nudie bar, have fun, bring a girl if you don't want to be harassed to death. ANd if you're a girl, enjoy and look around. And yes during the lap dance, the girl is topless, and she lets you touch them. Yeah you wanted to know. -

3 stars for the regular brass, 5 for the Upper, average it out to a 4. Bottomline, you're there (likely) to celebrate some sort of occasion, so quit being a cheapskate and fork out the $20 cover for the classier, touchier, feelier version of the Brass!
The girls are less pushy, better looking, and way better at conversing than the ones downstairs. This is the closest thing to a Montreal style club we have, so cash in that paycheck and go get some lappers!
PS - as Chris Rock once put it (http://vodpod.com/watc...), there is no sex in the champagne room. Just putting it out there! -
Review from Ric T.
Came here on a snowy Tuesday night in the middle of February. Was in town to meet up with some animals i had met via faceboook. It was cold out side and frightful going to see some hoez was delightful.. Ok thats the end of my christmas caroling... This place is a 7 out of ten and the g string scale. The strip club is located not to far from most hotels, 20 dollar lap dance but there the pretend your stevie Wonder touchy feely lap dance, drinks are ok, not great, my tequila tasted funny and can swear it wasnt the patron I specifically ordered. But who knows.. Honestly who cares, it got me buzzed and made some of the girls here become wife material in a matter of seconds, after three drinks it seemed every chick was a model with a PHD.
Girls here are from all over the planet. A mix of Eastern Europeans, South Americans and the "i rather dance than work at hot topic Punk Rock American Superstar" who ran away from home. Most were friendly, some were jaded, (SHOCKER!!),speaking of which, could swear that came up in conversating with one of these girls, right after she told me about her three kids and need meet a nice guy..FYI little did she know I am the degenerate wall st type.. Not that it mattered.
Decor wise the place could use some updating, no difference between upper and lower brass in my opinion. Place overall is averaged sized, think large two story Mcdonalds on sixth avenue in Manhattan. Not sure its even worth spending the money for upper brass. I did and didnt notice much of a difference, except the crowd downstairs was far more blue collar, think tour bus operators/wood chippers, where as upper brass was fat sloppy old grandpa white collared types. The girls tended to hang together sit around, they seemed quite friendly and were curious to know why I was at this fine establishment by myself. Ended up getting a few dances, let them feel the flesh hammer and left. Would love to check this place out on a busier night and during a different season, would be able to give a better review at this point. TO be continued.. I will be back.. -

Definitely my number one choice for adult entertainment in the GTA. I've heard a lot of talk about a Whiskey-A-Go-Go's being quite the spot but have yet to go.
I don't really have a criteria by which I can rate a ripper joint but I'll tell you this: all the women are you classic maxim/playboy model-esque girls. They are all enthusiastic about their job and never have I been to this place on a night where it wasn't off the hook.
Upper brass is a little slower but if you're looking for a tamer experience then hit it up.
$20 bucks a dance but watch out it's hard to say no to another one! -
Review from Matt S.
The ladies aren't pushy. Very friendly. Most are 7's, but you've definitely got some 9's in the mix. Great conversation. Awesome dances. My first international club experience, and the smile hasn't left my face yet.
I will say though that the short eastern european waitress is a b-word.
Go go go, to the Brass Rail!!! -
Review from Jessie H.
York, ON
Centrally located, the Brass Rail has suffered from some tarnishing of its image of late through 'guilt by association' as a couple of high profile crimes have occurred nearby. The club has recovered, though, as it is regularly full. There's no missing the towering street signs of smiling women and the inside sports a cool, hip look.
Like other downtown clubs, the Rail is frequented by 'business crowd for lunch' as well as locals, first timers, and tourists. It has evolved from it's middle position in the rankings to a contender as management has changed.
The main stage is large and dancers enter and exit via the wings, allowing them to redress and compose before heading back to the floor.
Door staff is straightforward and business like when keeping areas of high traffic clear, but do so aggressively -- so don't expect to linger too long in pathways to the washrooms or exits.

Review from Anna V.
Toronto, ON
The Brass Rail is the out of town strip joint for real. It's not a dive place like the West or East end joints, but it's not as great as For You Eyes Only. It's a straight up strip bar, with a bit of a seedy side and a bit of a classy side. The girls are hit or miss and the service is the same. Some nights, it's like every pervert in town is there, and other nights, it seems like a lot of entertaining clients on the corporate card, one big party. The bouncers scare me there a bit, and it can be daunting for a girl or a mixed group. Out of all the joints in town, this one seems like it's all business, no party at all. Like if you're going, you're a regular and you want to see naked girls gyrate in your face cause this is what you do on Fridays after work. By yourself. Not my bag at all.
