I would not give them a star ever. In fact, I would take a star off if I could.
I have been living in this town for almost 8 months now, having moved from Vancouver, BC. I used to take the 1-hour bus ride to Fairview Park Mall Body Shop due to it being the closest, and only retail store in the tri-city. Until this location opened.
Being so crazy about the products they carry, I always try to drop by at least once a week or so. Either to check out new deals (they have been having crazy deals since December 2010) or check out new products. The staff in general is very friendly, except for when I present them with my membership card..
I have been a loyal member of their LYB program for 6 years running - I have never had to pay for my membership apart from the time I signed up. That's how much I stand by their products. When I used to live in BC, no one would ever give me grief on how I use my point gifts (they give you $15 and $25 off when you have earned your 4th and 8th point respectively). I always like to keep them for when I want something (that I don't necessarily NEED). It's like a nice treat for myself, to give as gifts or to donate to women's foundation.
The last time I dropped by was Aug 13th. I know I always have the problem of having to explain that my multiple point gifts is due to the crazy purchases I made in December (I literally earned a point at least every week, earning multiple of those 4th and 8th point gifts that I saved up). None of the girls believed me. Even Rebecca, whom I believe is the manager there, would write down what I have earned and redeemed but was only willing to go as far back as April this year. Not prior. Even after I have told her that one kind man (whom I believe is the manager in the Eaton Centre location) has gone through ALL my rewards and purchase history dated to when I first got my membership card and verified my claim, she would not budge. It would have been nice to at least have her offer to write my name and number down and call the customer service for me, but no. She would rather see me bring my business elsewhere.
Never again would I shop at this location (or some other, for that matter). So long, The Body Shop. So long.
