I like this place a lot. The owner (Lou I think) is really friendly and helpful. I bought a brand new mountain bike from him for $260 and it is great.
Sometimes I find some bike shop owners guilt you for not taking care of your bicycle. Not at the bike place! He is honest and friendly. I blew a tire and he only charged me 15$ to fix it. He also oiled her up and adjust my handle bars.
And he has a cute pug that sometimes hangs out at the shop. And he also sells weights in addition to bikes and accessories. -

In the Junction and Bloor West hood, for buying and fixing bikes, this place rocks.
It is a diamond in the rough though. The sign and shopfront are old-school. But it's the service and quality of the work make it stand apart. Getting down to brass tacks, Louis is an old road bike racer. He's straight up. And he does wheel rebuilds and tune-ups for a great price, with a fast turnaround time. What's more are the bikes he's selling. Not your average shiny rides. Instead you can see this place builds 'em solid. Also, as noted before, he keeps Peanut the pug around.
It's this kind of eclectic community oriented businesses that give the Junction hood it's unique feel.
