There are only two places to buy beer at retail in Ontario. The LCBO and here. And this is just beer and nothing but beer. The stores themselves are kind of dingy and you're not there for the looks of the place. Just the beer. Mostly here it's sold in 24s and 28s. Little else. They sell some beer-related and branded swag as well. Personally, I come here to get a copy of the Beer Store's magazine, Chill. Which doesn't have a lot to do with beer at all. It's more like a Maxim magazine by comparison. Personally, I'd rather buy my beers at the LCBO.

This strikes as one of the smaller Beer Stores initially. The front area is congested with two cash registers placed close to each other and not much of a space between the front door and the registers.
The do have a display area where one can go and pick the beer one wants (as opposed to some other stores where you just look at the brands they have and order them) so if you are not sure what you want this is one of the better Beer stores to go.
I like the variety they have as well as I could find the Unibrue products here like La Fin Du Monde, Maudite etc.
Since we don't have much in terms of options to buy alcohol, why would I prefer it over other stores, well this one has decent variety and is just one stop south of Spadina station by street car so one can make a quick run here by TTC.
2.5 stars.
