Over the holidays I did some Christmas shopping here. Even though it was very busy all the staff I came across was very helpful and friendly.
I made my purchases through the customer service desk and later had to return one item through there as well. I don't know what all the other departments are like but the staff in the housewares/customer service area were impressive.
The treatment I received was exceptional and all reasonable requests were met with care.
I asked very nicely if they validated parking and it was done no question asked. I later found out that it was for purchases over $50 and was done for me while I did a return. Nice touch, these are the things that make great customer service. -

A must stop when you forget a windbreaker or need some warmer clothes during your visit.
Plus they have a sizable candy section, so you have get your Canadian groove on!
Personally, I still call it the Hudson's Bay company!

Sometimes you can get good deals there, but things tend to be a bit pricey. Also it's sometimes hard to find someone there to help you (I recently spent about 10 minutes in one section and wasn't able to enlist anyone's assistance and so ended up leaving empty-handed), and even when you do, they are always as charming as they could be.
